Christ said- It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven. But now Vatican is super rich. It is a matter of wonder whether Vatican and associated people will enter heaven.

72 million pounds profit in frist financial report from Vatican which is catholican capital.

We should not forget that Vatican has the status of a full fledged country, therefore they need money to run their country as well which comes from different sources.

After death all thing left here noting is go with any person. Vatican is an independent country Indian temples have enough money.

Not all the temples ARE RICH. There are temples which are about to fall though they have historical importance. And Tirupati and Padmanabha temple are as rich as Vatican may be a little less. Tirupati is utilizing its income on education, religious research and many philanthropic works.
I hope government should stay out of internal affairs of temple, as all these are traditions and cultures that has been built since ages.

Government's supervision should be there as some temples like Tirupati have enormous income in the form of cash and Kind. Tirupati has huge collection of gold. In order to check if the income is properly spent and utilized governments should have a check.

All big temples in our country encourage devotee to donate. That is the way of our religious managers who know how to motivate public to donate all what they have.

For a small income temple its OK. But for a large temple like Tirupati that has an average daily income of 3 crores plus innumerable number of gold ornaments, need auditing and a strict check to see where the income is going.

The temples are registered as charitable trusts and their accounts are audited. But in spite of audit, irregularities occur every where. There is no foolproof system to ensure honesty. The basic need is a change in national character.

True. Despite tight security arrangements at the time of counting the days collection and ornaments in Tirupati, incidents of thefts are reported at a regular frequency.

Exactly, temples and religions are no government business, they should not interfere in these matters since they have declared our country as secular which means 'no interference in personal beliefs' and that includes religious places.

Religious interference is not welcome. But what about the immense income collected in the name of religion ? They are taking to wrong routes and going in to the wrong pockets. Owing to this reason Tirupati, the next largest after Vatican in income, though it has its internal and external audits, still the money and the gold ornaments are being stolen by the insiders and they are roaming scot free without accountability.
