Digvijay singh is aggrieved in belittling statutory authorities including CBI dubbed as 'caged parrot'. Can we not avoid such language.

It's a known fact that Congress uses CBI as a tool to suppress and stifle the throats of any who oppose its views.

Why accuse congress only, every government did the same. Maya and Mulayam were not supporting present government if it was not for CBI. Others also used CBI for their own benefit from time to time.

In a way I feel that CBI would find it impossible to function without consulting or taking cues from the ruling parties since the absolute power is in their hands. Even the supreme court can only do so much....I wish we had a better and more transparent system of governance ..

CBI cannot be absolutely independent. But there should not be intervention by political parties. CBI has to coordinate with other ministries particularly Home and Law.

True. But unfortunately political intervention has become rampant. It's to be noted that politicians belonging to ruling party are equally intervening. And this is the reason for its unpopularity.[/quote

The intervention is only from top level. Street level politicians cannot interfere as they do in districts under state government.
