Yesterday a lone Muslim gunman shot dead 4 marines at 2 naval establishment in USA. Such cases are galore and one can recollect the massacre at Fort Hood when a Muslim major gunned down 21 servicemen. We are not imune in India and in 1965 war an order to disperse fighters at Kalaikunda was ignored and 8 fighters were destroyed on ground. A similar danger was averted in 1971 war when jet bombers were NOT comauflaged and left as sitting ducks to PAF in Agra. One can also recollect the famous Indian spy mission of 1959 when info was leaked to Pak and the canberra was shot down. The government now has a concientious decision to have no minority in RAW. Is it correct.?

Terrorist have no religion. Their only religion is to kill other human beings on earth. But agree that most of the terrorists are from one community or religion and their target is destroy all other religion on earth.
Devils and saints are present in every religion and community. It is not proper to blame a particular religion to leak information to enemy countries. Many Muslim Jawans laid their lives and won coveted awards of Parm Vir chakra durin Kargil war.
Col.Hanifuddin was killed in the battle field. His mother gave a statement that I feel quite proud that my son laid down his life for the cause of the country and I wish I could give other sons also for this noble cause. Subsequently many more Muslim soldiers and officers died and their parents also made similar statements.
In the third year of UPA-2, the then prime minister Manmohan Singh called a meeting of top officials of the Special Protection Group (SPG), the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and the Intelligence Bureau (IB) to seek advice on whether the representation of Muslims in the intelligence agencies could be increased, whether they should be allowed to join RAW and whether to end the ban on the entry of Sikhs and Muslims into SPG. The officers reportedly pointed out that any such move would be risky. They asked who would take the blame if something went wrong after the established system was tinkered with. Nothing came out of that meeting and the issue was never raised again.

We are discussing an important issue and not something frivolous. One man defecting is not the issue , it concerns policy. I am asking is this policy correct of not having minorities in RAW and SPG. Remember teh army is also 99% Hindu/ Sikh and no Muslim regiment though many times a proposal was put. We cant run away. I have served with Muslims under my command as Commanding officer and they are fine people. Try to raise the discussion to a higher level. in any case I have just raised a discussion point and will not participate further.
