Yes harish..

You have come out with a valid point. T20 has so many restriction and rules which makes it more exciting and as it is a new format, dirt of match fixing and other allegations have not found on it. We are getting a chance to see a pure cricket. But can't say what will happen in the future.
I think Match fixing exist in one day matches also but after 20-20 matches match fixing start from local public also .

so it have some negative point also.
match fixing is the normal thing which is always present in every country and every state and city. This is a negative point but we can't change it. when it happen or what happen we don't know. we just see cricket and got entertainment.
20-20 matches have much more excitement and its possibility to fix a match . so match fixing problem may decrease excitement in cricket. so match fixing may harm cricket in future.
yes i am agree with you amita ji. match fixing can harm the cricket. let see what happens.
Other problem like our important player will injure early if they play more matches and 20-20 matches are explosive games so player do not think more about security they only think to win.

In one player play and feel comfortable so 20-20 matches in dangerous for our key players.
Yes i m agree with you santosh sir.......... I noticed that our player is playing continuesly one by one match and not getting a gap for rest and family. So this is not good. this can make them tired and it can decrease the performance.
About match fixing ,

santosh, how can we say that after the beginning of T20 match fixing became common in local people also...??

Match fixing is a negative shadow on the cricket..!!

Amita, Match fixing is always harm to pure cricket. But T20 is a fast game and anything can happen there. So,chances for match fixing will be less.
We have to take sufficient rest so that our health is maintained. We can't work continously.
Like wise players also have to take rest.

If they play continously it will affect their health.
Its not only for T20, whatever the game or work, continous work will create problems. So,we have to take sufficient rest..

I want to clear you to play 20-20 matches lot of local teams like Rajasthan royal, Punjab, kolkata , Delhi etc team have been created so during IPL or ICL local public involvement is more.

so Chance of match fixing is more for his local team.

I have seen lot of examples in Ahmedabad but i can not expose them here.

so due to lot of teams lot of match fixing is there Mrs Jobin..

I don't think so; T20 format is not doing any harm to the game of cricket...

Ever since Cricket has been introduced and people all over the world started playing it as a result of the British Raj imposed all over this planet, Cricket has been considered as a game that is a slow game that does not give exercise to the players.

People had an impression that Cricket test matches are played for days together and at the end they end up into non-conclusive fights. It has always been claimed that cricket is played for prolonged time periods and that too give no definite results. That is the reason why Cricket has not been introduced in Olympics as an event for global competition.

Now with the introduction of T20 cricket there are very bright chances for this pattern of Cricket for being adapted as an event in the Olympics. Let us hope for the best to watch cricket in the next Olympic.

Yes harish you are right and T20 format now have chance to get part in olympics.
Its nice to hear from harish that Cricket can get chance in Olympic games but in cricket lot of busy schedule have made already if it will include in Olympic then schedule will increase.

other harm is people who see others game in Olympic will loose some credit in front of cricket. so to save those games its better that cricket do not come in olympic.
@ santosh

Harish is right at his suggestion but santosh u r also not wrong at ur suggestion.
Hi Lohit thanks .

I think you are intelligent and harish is also not bad.

I don't think so; T20 format is not doing any harm to the game of cricket...

I have seen postings from Lohit, Santosh and other members and found that the discussion is going on so very intensely.

I have observed in cricket test matches that they appear to be too slow. Secondly the ODIs are considerably faster than the test matches. Nevertheless, eventually when T20 were introduced we have seen tremendous speed, power and an acid test for the captain who has to take spontaneous decisions to match the strategic moves of the opponent team.

Similarly the wild excitement observed in the crowd sitting on the stands and among those watching the matches on TV in their living rooms, is just unbelievable. the viewers have the same mental and emotional ups and downs that go on in the mind, body and souls of the players playing out on the pitch.

We have even observed tremendous excitement and impatience in the TV crew members and ground staff of the stadiums that is just opposite to the staff that look subdued during the test matches.

@ Harish

I am agree with you Harish.T20 format is not doing any harm to the game of cricket... there is just main difference is speed and how fast these matches getting played. As more as speed of the match will increase one day match and T20 there excitement also increases.
But the Crowd of the one day match and T20 match is always same. All seats are always full. In T20 game is speedly go that makes us feel about the more crowd. Seats in a ground are always same. So seats fill equally.
As Per topic "Is T20 format doing harm to the Cricket?"

T20 Is not harming cricket..
it increasing the excitement and popularity of the cricket.
After Seeing this one day series of Shri-Lanka and India, i don't think so one day matches have less excitement. today's match what a crowd and wide innings by Gautam Gambhir and Virat kohli. match was so excited and previous matches of this series are also excited. One day match have excitement for long hours and T20 have excitement for small hours.
