Google Earth can be useful to security forces for locating terrorist only if they update their images every day as real time data are required to take action...and also this software should be strictly available to private domain only..

Congrats Kalyani Mam and sajeetaran on winging the Group discussion contest...

The main thing is Google Earth is not that much into rural maps yet. They provide information clearly only on cities, so its difficult to locate terrorists, as terrorists are mostly in rural or unknown areas.

And the main purpose of google earth wasn't for locating terrorists in the first place.

Advanteges:
1. I use google earth in mobile as a GPS system, its really good.
2. I can find out routes for places with it.
3. Before planning a tour, i can look into for making myself familiar with the place.

Disadvantages:
1. Even terrorists can be using this site to identify places and plan.
