Some of the photos are really great and precious too for they mark milestones on Indian history. I really liked Zohra Sehgal's photo from her younger days, because until now we have seen her only as a grand old lady in the cinemas so much that it is impossible to think she was young ever. I also liked the Flora Fountain photo, although if you see it now, you might miss the iconic structure in all the concrete in Mumbai. It is totally beautiful.

It is obvious from the statistics given by you that there are overwhelming number of Believers in God and God men. Atheists in India are seen as sinners.

I agree with you to a certain extent but at the same time media is a Industry that survives through sensationalising news that is watched by most number of people .If you see the TRP I am sure during the past two days it must have rocketed sky high, we need to blame the public for this since without watchers , there is no media .. But I too feel that trivialities and celebrities are given far more importance than they deserve and very important issues are just skimmed over by the news channels !

Well, that is Indian media for you., whatever has star value and is the most gruesome or shocking, they will keep showing it for days . Media is just about break news and TRPs and not serious or important issues.

During last three four days news related to only two cases are shown whole day and night on every news channels. These are news related to Hardik Patel and Sheena Bora murder case. News channels are showing these news on priority. Are these news so important, or nothing else has happened in India during last three four days? Are these news beneficial to anyone in anyway? Only one thing is happening due to these news is that negativity is being created in minds of people who are watching these news. Why not good news shown on priority basis and some bad thing is placed in front of public with priority?

The number of persons who have declared themselves as 'not believing in God' in 2011 census is less than 15 of our population.

Truly it's a rare treat. To see these present luminaries in their younger days is a a rare thrill. I liked A.R. Rehmans and Dr. Kalam's vintage photos.

Not a single religion in the world will accept such freedom of expression but Hindus being weak or may I say cowards, so every thing is fine.   There are many atheist groups in West, who openly criticize Church, Bible and Christian beliefs. Hindus are main or majority community in India. Hence others are no considered signficicant for comment.  for Muslims, it can be definitely said that they have least tolerance.  In India too there are several atheist organizations which openly criticize the Hindu beliefs and customs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federation_of_Indian_Rationalist_Associations   There are some such groups on Facebook also. These are rationalist or anti superstition. I'm also associated with these and also on Twitter with atheist groups. A post of one of my Facebook friend has been banned as considered anti religious. In name of religion, the believers get more freeedom than non believers. While any one is free to spread blind faith in deities, the ratioinalist/ atheists are not allowed any liberty or freedom of expression.  But sir, in AP atheist groups are holding public meetings and expressing their views openly. I attended some of their meetings. http://atheistcentre.in/pdfs/AtheistMovementInAndhraPradeshIndia.pdf

These pujas are known with different names in different states. But almost all the rituals connected with them are same. My hearty wishes to you on this auspicious occasion.

Gulshan Kumar Ajmani said thank you to vijay for his/her reply to the topic Hindus dip to below 80% of the population...
@Suni51 is not right when he says that the count was done in 2011 to please a certain community. Census is done every 10 years and the next one will be due in 2021. Economically stringer communities have lower birth rates and this is observed in all affluent countries. Hindus being relatively economically better off than Muslims have lower birth rate than Muslims. But you should also note that compared to previous census birth rate of Muslims has also fallen because within their community also more sections are  becoming economically well off and it is reflecting in their lower birth rates. In next census 10 years hence their will be more drop in birth rates in both communities. It is a worlwide trend. Trying to abuse a religion because they have a higher birth rate is showing a disregard for facts and  global trends and shows a naked kind of bias.

Yes I read the question and previous answers before my answer.

To talk about the census, members are quoting their experiences. Where comes the question of Bias ?
