Yes, having small meals do help in reducing weight. I have lost almost 25 kgs weight in just single year. I used to eat small meals in regular duration of time. I gave up cold drinks and chocolate. One thing i used to do and still doing is consistently eating less food.
The most effective way of limiting your intake is by drinking water 15-20 minutes before each meal..It cuts down your intake automatically by 15% which in itself helps you lose weight, that added with exercise, mainly walking is very helpful in keeping you fit!
Yes mam, this is the good advice. I do sometimes use this technique, specially when something favorite of mine is cooked in my hostel, so that i don't eat much.
Ronark, I forgot to add this earlier but it is wonderful that you have managed to lose 25 kgs in a year and are you planning to lose more weight or stay steady with your present weight ?
When i went to my home after 1 year, my mom told me that don't lose more weight as i have already lost 25 kgs. I keep on checking my weight and it varies from 70 to 75 kgs. I just want to keep in between 70 to 75 kgs only. I don't want to loose more, as that will make me weaker. I am punjabi boy, and want to be little like punjabis.

I really feel that we indians are not good in following rules. We are destroying our future life, by spreading lot of pollution. But we don't have enough option. Technology people have to develop some options for us and government have to put that option in market and encourage to buy that product which is environment friendly.

Indians love Gold. Even when the gold prices are high, they won't stop buying. If there is marriage going to take place, people have to give good amount of gold. It is not necessary, but see if bride's parents don't give, there could be circumstances that Bride might not be happy.
I don't believe in give gold and all. I am saying this because its seeing in our culture. I condemned giving or taking dowry. But, you know the community doesn't understand this.

I think where the pollution is excess in cities like Delhi, there Government have to come ahead have to restrict people to use Petrol & diesel vehicles and starts using cycle, even if it is for 1 or 2 days in a week.
I really think that time has come to take strict action, other we will see losing our Capital and no one will like to come to delhi.

I also believe that eating doesn't matter much, but quantity matter. If you even eat junk food, but in lesser amount it won't affect much. You have to compensate with other things a well. I case of mine, it helped it when i taking cold drink and chocolate very frequently.
Eat good, healthy food. But if you want to have junk food. Eat it, but not in excess

If these stalls are banned who is going to provide for these stall owners who are making living and doing it so honestly and providing for a class of people who cannot afford anything else when they are working or on the move ...
I agree Usha, it is the taste and affordability of this food to common people which drives crowds over to them. But the point here is of banning such food stalls in close proximity to schools in order to deter school children from eating them. Parents and schools should encourage children to eat more freshly cooked home made food and not outside. Whereas such stalls are concerned, we cannot totally do away with them as poor people would suffer. Instead what we can do is provide those stall owners with proper sanitation facilities and safe water to cook their food and clean their utensils etc.

Basically people cannot be totally rational because of many other factors and to call oneself perfect and blame another for his or her belief seems immature and not at all rational for someone who call themselves rational. They become far too judgmental forgetting that they are treading the same path as the believers . If you are firm about your belief practice it instead of shouting from the rooftop and advertising it,,

Personally, I am against reservation based on caste system, but when we look deeply into the reason why Patel's have suddenly flared up against government, demanding a reservation for them, the reasons are many. First and foremost, it is the way all governments, be it congress or BJP or whichever else, has been treating people. First it was the Gujjars and Jats of Rajasthan and Haryana, now it is Patels from Gujarat and very soon, time is not far away when Marathas and Leva Patils from Maharashtra would soon join into the foray. Until now, a lot of favoritism has been going on, in spite of reservation, deserving candidates even from the reserved categories do not get jobs, it is only those hwo power of money, can get a proper job. I was talking to a friend yesterday who happens to belong to the same Kadwa Patel community from Kutch, Gujarat and when I asked her, she said that for years now the Patels have been financing all the major campaigns and operations and helped bring many governments to power while they get nothing in return. She said even a minorest offence such as breaking a traffic signal costs them nothing less than 500 rupees which to others are no more than 100-200. The name Patel means money bank for others. So if we think about it, it is not anarchy we are seeing but unfairness in dealing with valuable community members. Government needs to handle this affair rather delicately and with tact.

One needs to understand why the Patels of Gujarat have launched the agitation demanding reservations. Gujarat is a manufacturing driven economy where service sector has been neglected. Huge tracts of Patel owned agricultural lands have been transferred to industrialists. This has resulted in large number of Patel youth come into the job market. With no skills they are not able to get jobs and the few they feel they can get are denied due to reservations. Patels were instrumental in bringing BJP to power all these years in Gujarat. Now they want their pound of flesh as they feel that they are not getting any benefit for this continued support. And reservation is an issue they have chosen. Significantly around forty percent Patels are well to do and as a community they can sustain long battles if necessary. Are they anarchists in demanding reservation? I would say no because in a democracy there is give and take of support and reward. Should they be given reservation will depend on their ability to agitate. too early to predict. For me however there should be reservation of upto 10 or 15% max only for SC& T and physically handicapped and ex army jawans. This anarchist agitation may lead to a wider dialog about relevancy of reservations.

My own opinion is that food which is sold in expensively and attractively wrapped packages such as various kinds of noodles, ready to eat pastas, soups, rice etc. and stuff targetted for children such as Kinder Joy are more harmful than junk food sold on streets. With such food on streets, it is more a problem of questionable hygiene. So if there were to be a ban of any kind, all kinds of such street foods and packaged foods, both should be banned.
