However, now in the 21st century there is no need for us to stick the stereotypes as now men are now considered more cool when they appear as metrosexual men, men who take care of babies, cook for the family, help their wives etc. there are now more and more wide ranges of clothing for men where pink too is a dominant color. So we can help remove such gender stereotypes by allowing our children and encouraging them to choose colors according to their own likes and not just letting them stick to only such gender-biased hues. I agree, to break such gender color convention we should encourage kids to choose the color of their like. Mostly children does not care about colors and clothes but people and things around make them to care a lot.  My personal observation is that girls instinctively pick colours such as red, pink, purple and violets while boys pick blues, yellows, greens and orange colours. But I have also seen many parents refusing children the colors they like bcause of such gender stereo types. However more and more people are now giving up such stereotypes and letting the kids choose whatever they like. My own son, until he turned 6 used to like pink and red and I let him wear it. I say it's wise parenting. Children do have a territory of their own. Encroaching in to their territory is not Justified. Allow the flower to bloom without any restrictions. Otherwise it withers.

They ate seasonal and Natural food. They ate home cooked food. Because of this reason they were free from diseases and allergies.

We are far more accustomed to foods that are full of chemicals and pesticides which deplete the actual nutritional content of those foods making us prone to allergies more than people in olden days.

Quite disgusting even to hear. I think the proverb " One man's meat is another man's poison "  applies here.

In olden days men lived closer to nature, but today we are going far from natural things. Some reasons why people in olden days didn't have food allergies but today's generation have. http://butternutrition.com/why-your-grandparents-didnt-have-food-allergies/

What takes the trophy is slicing the monkey's head horizontally, picking the brain and it is eaten raw by the people waiting for this delicacy, and they stitch the head back in place and the poor thing just wails and rolls over and after a while dies ! This is done even in Korea and Taiwan ! Yikes, that is so horrible and disgusting. The monkey is probably just left to die, it would be merciful to kill them in one go.

The nice ways of relaxing are gardening, watching your favorite movies - serials, having chit-chat with your family members, reading books of your interest.

rambabu wrote: Ways of prayer may be different. But the main objective of prayer is neither requesting nor demanding. It's a serene submission to God or whatever people call to express gratitude to the creator.   Just like the ways of prayer are different for different people, so is the objective. Different people use different tactics while praying, in times of need, their prayer is a request, in times of peril, it is a plea for assistance, in times of comfort, it is a simple act of gratitude, so on and so forth!

Kalyani Nandurkar wrote: vijay wrote: Prayer takes different meaning for different situations. It is a plea when one is desperate, it is a thanksgiving when one achieves, it is hope when one is trying, it is a bargain when one is uncertain, it is a contract when one is taking a risk and it is a homecoming when one's time has come. That is the best description of what prayer really is so far I have come across! True, they say faith moves mountains and prayer is an extension of that faith and it is different to different people depending on the situation and  what their perceptions are .

The beauty of prayer is that nobody can teach others how to pray or what to pray. It just happens. It comes from within; and the communion takes place in a transcendental level. The famous short story “The Three Hermits” by Leo Tolstoy is a classic example that reminds me of the sanctity of prayer, where the bishop who tried to teach the hermits how to pray finally realized that prayer cannot be taught, but should come from the heart.

I too like to do a bit of gardening to relax. My other ways to relax are reading, listening to music, just fooling around with my son and sometimes do nothing but loll around with the TV remote and watch the most bloodiest and gruesome action movies that I can find
