I agree , RAMAKRISHNAN has put it beautifully...Perfection what we can strive for and to say we have achieved it is fooling ourselves ! One may achieve some level of perfection with regard to a minute part of ones life but that does not make our entire existence or life perfect since we are made of many such components and it is impossible to achieve perfection..

@RAMAKRISHNAN.A Sir, First of all I must thank you for explaining your point so very effectively. Your reply simply overwhelmed me. Yes, I too agree with the saying. Even in our daily lives when everything goes by smoothly, we really thank God for it and usually wonder that how it was possible not to encounter any obstruction! It's actually a miracle not to face any hurdle so having some or the other difficulties in our day to day lives is the most acceptable truth.

This year during winter season, in most parts of India people are feeling hot. In parts of North India after two three foggy days, sun is shining brightly and it is like the days in February or March. The experts says that due to El nino this year India will not have that type cold which happened in past years. http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-news-india/warm-winter-blame-it-on-el-nino-effect/

While it is true El Nino  effect has robbed off winter from most parts of the country, It's altogether a different story in the state of Anhra  Pradesh, especially in the agency areas of AP. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/visakhapatnam/More-cold-days-ahead-for-Andhra-Pradesh/articleshow/45611033.cms

Some people make you happy by their very presence because of the good will they are able to spread or simply because they make you feel special or make you feel comfortable ! I guess one can only try to be one .. Be The Person that makes others feel Special, Be known for your kindness ,understanding and Grace

MG Singh wrote: Swami Vivekanand is a respected figure, but he lived a short life and I do not see what he achievd. In particular the caste system continued to flourish. i have not read his campaigns against caste. i may be enlightened about it. Why does everything have to be about caste??? Aren't the accomplishments in other fields enough??? Swami Vivekanand became a brand ambassador of our country through his learned and inspiring lectures at a very young age, he inspired hundreds and hundreds to follow on his path of enlightenment, all of those people's castes must be studied, whether they belonged to a single upper class one or a mix of all. He still inspires hundreds, isn't that enough???

usha manohar wrote: That is exactly what I was thinking ! Where are all the great writers and the so called rational thinkers and their award giving drama , in fact not a word from any one of them including Girish Karnad , who is always the first one to criticise ! It is totally missing this time round. I guess it is because TMC is not BJP, thats the only explanation I can think of .. Its not because of TMC, it does not matter which party it is, but it is all about the truth the Hindus are at the receiving end in this instant and it is they who are having to flee with their lives. come on now, let us not blame Girish Karnad, for he is only one of the most intellectual and progressive creed, who speak and act in keeping with the times. Now, the times are all about slandering and persecuting Hindus in a silent mode and making loud noise when it is done to Muslims. Sic!

rambabu said thank you to MG Singh for his/her reply to the topic Double stand on Tolerance vs Intolerance in India!.
It is the bane of India that Hindus are at the recieving end of everything an we have pseudo intellectecuals sitting in arms chairs and blabbering about intolerance.  How can a minority be allowed to riot.? Can Hindus who are in a minority anywhere else riot? All will be shot dead. Its about time Hindus had some spunk and drive. Again any number of Hoindus will oppose what I have written. Its the blood of servility

Pity is that these pseudo intellectual are Hindus and they are corrupt. This category includes politicians who make noise on intolerance only to stick to the chair. The other day, Dhoni, the cricketer denigrated Hindu gods. He endorsed an Ad that contained Lord Vishnu holding a shoe in his hands. Rightly the courts issued a non bailable warrant.  Now, Hindus will not remain silent.

Swami Vivekananda agrees that caste system is polluted. But, he expresses his opinion what really caste system is. He adds caste is not by birth but is based on qualities.  A Brahmana is Brahmana only when he shares his knowledge and strive towards making everyone else a Brahmana. Swami Vivekananda is not a casteist. Especially, when taken into consideration his view, saying that  if one willfully justifies this inhuman practice of Caste system it's an unpardonable  sin.
