The court took this action for the empowerment of Muslim women. At the same-time, each religion has the right to live in accordance with their religious rules. The Mohammedan Law in the Holy Quran imposes some restrictions to Muslim women to live in this society. If majority of Muslim women are ready to follow the instructions of Mohammedan Law, there is meaning for Supreme Court's action. If they want freedom from this laws, the SC must continue the actions for the sake of Muslim ladies who are lying under restrictive life.
Most of Muslim women want some freedom, but how SC change Holy Quran.

Rama was not only husband of Sita, he was also king of Ayodhya. For Hindu Ram is avtar of Lord Vishnu,he spend his like common man and never claim that I am God.

When one speaks about equality it means equality in all spheres including religion and other rights and betterment go hand in hand. One cannot have equality without having the right to go where one wants be it temple or Dargah .

Oats are very healthy and now it is being used in Dosas, Idlis and chapatis along with the base mixture, just to make the preparations more nutritious. I use pats instead of bread crumbs while making cutlets and it gives an added crunch when it is roasted !

Ramayan is not just a story of Ram and Sita and Ravana and how Ram threw Sita out of home, etc. IT is more about symbolisms and deep meanings and without reading and understanding the full epic, we cannot comment on whether Ram did right or wrong to Sita.
Exactly ! Epics have become so because of their impact on the masses and also the wisdom and depth that they impart! Ramayana is not just a story about Ram and Sita but about a time period in history. Rama too did not lead a happy life but he suffered because of the consequences of his action. One may say he was rigid but it does not make him any lesser a man ! It is precisely because of this quality, where an individual can identify his own self with that of Ram, who is an avatar of God , that these epics become so much a part of your life. Goes to show God is universal and humble and he has no airs ...It is the people who make him seem like a control freak !!!
Exactly! It is what we learn from epics such as Ramayana and Mahabharata and apply it on our lives is what matters rather than keep searching of evidence, demanding justice and trying prove or disprove whether it happened in reality or was it all a sham. Such epics are there only to make us aware that as humans, we are all vulnerable and prone to vices and ills of human greed and no one is spared any kind of sufferings. Along with goodness, one needs to be humble too. so on and so forth.
One can pick holes in every epic from every religion, so it is best not to point fingers , but accept it as literature from the past and if one is willing one can explore the depths or else leave it alone ..

The African students are exactly hiding or in fear because today they took out a rally and also sat in front of the DC's office to demand justice which one can understand ! But media makes it look as if they are hiding and are scared for their life which is definitely not the case since Bangalore has a huge population of foreign students, some of who have never gone back even after their visas were expired, because they feel quite at home here .I know of several Iranians ,Iraqis and Africans who have been here since nineties and continue to stay, working and raising families !

Normally people elect going by the past experience and after Yadiyurappa was accused by the opposition, which has now been proven false by the courts . I guess people felt they had to vote for the Congress government which had given good governance in the past , but now I am sure they realise their mistake !

Yes, you are right. the prime reason for reaching of Hinduism in Africa is the recruitment of Indian people in their African colonies. There are so many Gods in Hindu religion. Worshiping and satisfying all these Gods are not easy. This is a complicated process. It may be one of the reasons why Hinduism do not spread like Christianity and Islam.
In fact the best feature of Hinduism is that you are neither expected nor forced to worship all the gods that become part of the religion unlike in other religions where a believer is supposed to worship so many times a day or week...
As far as the number of gods is concerned, there are only three major gods who depict birth, life and death - Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva , very practical since our life revolves around the three ! The rest are their consorts and their family and the Ashta- dikpalakas who look after the eight corners of the universe, again to me this seems very practical way of labor division ! Either way there is no compulsion in Hinduism as far as worship and faith is concerned which is the reason why Hinduism has not spread like other religions

There are many gods but every person chooses a limited number. So that should not be a limitation. Basically Hinduism does not believein conversions. One has to be born into Hinduism. Christianity assumes that non-Christians arein need of enlightenment for which they need to be converted. Islam believes that there is only one Almighty and that is theirs. So others should convert or have no reason to be alive (in extreme cases). Hinduism was and is a non expansive religion.
