Oats are very healthy and now it is being used in Dosas, Idlis and chapatis along with the base mixture, just to make the preparations more nutritious. I use pats instead of bread crumbs while making cutlets and it gives an added crunch when it is roasted !
Usha, No doubt oats are tasty and a very versatile ingredient that can be used in preparing a wide variety of dishes ranging from sweet to savouries, but are they really healthy as is claimed. I am saying this because the the kind of oats we get are the instant porridge variety which are highly processed, so I am sceptical about them.
I guess it is the same controversy that they had about noodles, I personally feel that oats are very healthy and I have been using it since many years for breakfast and sometimes for dinner too and feel that it is great for maintaining weight because it has fibre , fills you up with fewer calories !

Nothing is written on stone afteral religion is man made and laws were written based on the times they were written and to hold on to that and continue with the same old laws makes life difficult for everyone around them. This is precisely why we need a uniform civil code and uniform laws regardless f religion - accept it or lump it ! Will the political parties think on those lines ?

what harm is there if a man rich or poor stocks liquor? In the armed forces the government from the days of the Raj has been subsidising liquor for soldiers and officers who in fact stock it for the month. I think one needs to be pragmatic about it.

it is easy for Muslim countries to change their law but not for India. If Muslim community of India agree for some change Muslim leader will oppose it and raise slogan Islam Khatrey Main Hai.

If they are manipulated not to take lead can they be allowed to suffer. After all why is there a Constitution which is equally applicable to all. It is for community to take lead argument is no longer valid as the vested interests will not permit. They have succeeded for seventy years and will continue. Majority community also has a responsibility.

We are overlooking one basic fact in Inin culture. Indians worship the white color and that is a fact. In fact I have observed that color bar in South is more extreme. This is the genesis of the problem as their is deep bias against the blacks , particularly from Africa, In contrast the whites are adulated, though they kick the Indians. I wonder how this racial and color prejudice can ever be solved.

Reforms may be necessary in personal law of Muslims as well as Hindus. The Hindu law has been suitably reformed from time to time. The Muslim community itself has to take initiative for reforms that may be needed for fairness, equity and justice. There may be many liberal and unorthodox individuals in Muslim community. It is for them to take lead.

Normally, petitions are filing on the court against the people who are still alive. There is no use to give complaints against those people who passes away. What is the motivation behind it for charging a complaint against Rama the Hindu God whom we believe that lived in the society many years ago?
I agree. There are many issues involved in framing cases against mythological figures. First, they cannot be summoned by court for obvious reasons. Secondly, current law did not apply in ancient period. Thirdly there is limitation of time. It will be ridiculous to file a case when there is neither complainant nor defendant. Also if such cases are entertained, there could be many cases for offences by epic characters viz. Dushasan for outraging modesty of Drupadi, Pandavas for using their wife as stake in gamble and Shakuni for cheating in chess.

So what is the conclusion to be drawn? That the State to earn revenue can create discriminatory policies and it should not be commented or opposed because it is the internal policy of the MP government.
