Lawyers are not the only people who lack moral values. Even the Politicians are in the list. Here is an example. Delhi Law minister Somnath Bharti facing prosecution. No wonder if Judges too join the Band wagon. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/delhi/Somnath-Bharti-was-indicted-for-tampering-with-proof/articleshow/28765005.cms

I can just about imagine the chaos they and their thugs would create.  I guess this is a pointer to why clubs have certain restrictions, dress code being one of them.   Not just a part, but the entire blame is poeple's. " Yadha Praja thatha Raja. Like the people like the ruler. I may not subscribe to your view.. we have only criminals, petty thieves  and hooligans to choose from. The system is so corrupt that  everything is rigged and tampered with. ' People can be bought with money.. What choice do we have.  We choose the best of the rotten apples.. at least I do.    I guess we have little choice ... But now with NOTA ( None Of The Above ) we can make our displeasure clear that we have not been given a fair selection to choose from.I feel this option should be used by people instead of choosing one of the rotten apple and give him or her the power so that they can play havoc after being chosen !

Maintaining the Balance is vital. Wrong food combinations should be avoided. When one eats an incompatible combination foods, nature flashes a distress signal in the form of a belch (this also happens when one overheats). We should learn to heed this little warning of nature. In case one doesn’t heed this warning and continues overeating and taking wrong combinations of foods, then following disorders may immediately follow: They cause Vomiting Loose motion or diarrhoea Indigestion of some foods which may be found in stools

True, Indian traditional foods are beneficial for our health. But some people to show their status or for taste avoid Indian foods and like fast food more.

Kalyani Nandurkar wrote: Shampa Sadhya wrote: @vijay By the way I am Shampa Sadhya and not Sandhya. My opinion is that if the lawyers know that the person is a hardcore criminal then they must refuse to fight their case. Well, as you or many other has explained in this thread even I too know the rule that every client must get a lawyer but I am not thinking on legal terms rather on social responsibility. You said if lawyers take my advice then many innocents will be punished but I said the lawyers must learn to refuse the criminals because they can make out who is guilty as the clients are supposed to keep no secrets from their lawyers. Your sentiments can be easily understood, when something like the Nirbhaya case happens, we all feel the same but like each profession, the lawyers too have an obligation. Just like the doctors are obligated by the ethics and morality of their profession to treat each and every patient equally and fairly, so is the judicial system obligated to treat each person, be it a known criminal or a mere suspect to consider him innocent until proven guilty. And for that matter, the lawyers who are bound to their profession the day they don their silks, cannot refuse any person a chance to a fair trial. so we really cannot blame them for taking up such cases. What we need to abhor are the lawyers who fabricate damaging lies to destroy someone's life on behalf of their clients. Every case makes people cry for justice against the offender .But we have to remember that there may be false allegations or the person caught may have an accomplice who too needs to be brought in and this can happen only when there is a good legal system which includes defence as well. In our eagerness to punish someone we have to make sure that the right person is caught and not an innocent person just because he happens to be there at the crime scene or some supposedly incriminating evidence has been collected. Lawyers are as good or bad as any other profession in our country and if there is a chance to make some fast buck and the same goes for judges too , I am sure a few of them will jump at the chance but not all would do that !

Indian food is very healthy, there is no doubt about it ! But many people dont bother to balance it out by taking everything in small portions .Like they mix up the wrong things like have rice, dhal and potato and no green vegetables or curds  or non vegetarians have just meat and rice or rotis .When this is done on a regular basis, in the long run  you may end up having some deficiency or the other.

Kalyani Nandurkar wrote: Shampa Sadhya wrote: @Kalyani Nandurkar Your explanation is truly meaningful. The teachers should satiate the quest of knowledge or else students will loose their interest which is never a positive sign. Well, it is not always that reservation is the criterion, sometimes it's the attitude of the teacher which  comes in between the students and the teacher. Some teachers are very arrogant and proud which never allow them to understand their student deeply.  I agree Shampa that reservation is not the basic criterion, but we have to admit that ever since the reservation came to existence, the profession of teachers has become all about earning money and profit like all other professions, of course, with exceptions and with due respect to the teachers  who are true and pure of heart towards their profession, such as Usha, yourself, Vijay are! And the example of one rotten apple spoiling others holds true for this particular facet as well. Only because we keep hearing of increased incidences of teachers raping and abusing students.,beating them severely and causing permanent damage or sometimes even death, but cannot but shudder and it changes the attitude of looking towards the teacher as a whole. Also, it is not just one factor that is the cause, there are too many things at work. Growing materialism, more importance to money, lack of empathy and sensitivity towards others etc. so we cannot blame only one single factor at any given time., Kalyani, reservation plays a dominant part everywhere in our country...But like you said some of us work simply because we like the job and develop a bond with our students and the school itself. As far as monetary benefits are concerned, in my own case , since I am on a 'temporary ' daily wage basis since 6 years they pay me erratically. The govt owed me and a few others like me 6 months of salary out of which 3 months salary was released as a ' Bonus' for Ganesh Chaturthi ! Can you believe that ? Why not give all our dues ? And when there is a vacancy they bring someone from the reservation category and place them rather than making one of us permanent. The last time a new person was appointed , the other teachers and students went on strike because the person could hardly teach and thankfully a very deserving temporary staff was made permanent ! Anyways, I do what I can because of the students and the parents who are so encouraging ,simple and nice ..It makes everything worthwhile.

True. Though vegetables are not included, Vegetables, fruits and nuts also contribute to maintain good health. A diet rich in fruits, veggies and nuts can ward off many diseases.

A good compilation of healthy food. They have not included the vegetables though, which also is very much a part of Indian diet and highly beneficial too.

@rambabu I meant that parents and guardians must be watchful regarding their own behaviour. I am never in favour of spying the children rather I believe in building trust. @chinmoymukherjee I loved the way you presented your opinion. I am also of the view as @usha manohar that teachers have to build a great reputation to earn respect but some children are far more aggressive and taming them softly becomes a real task. Sometimes spanking works but that does not mean one has to be inhuman.

I contribute to the opinions Kalyani and Lopamudra. Your kids won’t grow out of unhealthy behaviors on their own. They need Parent's guidance and help! Without it, bad habits will likely multiply and turn into an ugly, unhealthy lifestyle. And at that point, you won’t be able to do anything about it. Remember, it's easy to shape a sapling than a well grown Tree.

Kalyani Nandurkar wrote: Lopamudra wrote: The biggest problem is everyone Is using It. This creates peer pressure.  Even If some parents restrict them at home, they have this free access at their friends places. Children should be u able to understand for themselves the harm It is causing.  Yeah, peer pressure is another big hindrance once the children reach an impressionable age and are more concerned about their own image for their peers. But what I feel is that once we inculcate certain hobbies and habits from the beginning itself, then it does not become such a great problem. I have made it a point to inculcate reading habit in my son and always refrained myself from using phones in his presence other than making necessary calls. Also when I work on my computer I keep stressing to him that computer is only for work and only a certain time limit is allowed for watching cartoon clips on it. He is now so much hooked on reading and creating things out of cardboard paper etc. that he is not at all interested in phones. He also likes to use computer only when he wants to do his own 'research' as he calls it on things such as aliens which he likes! So it actually is up to parents where usage or overusage of gadgets is concerned.   Very true. I too feel reading is one of the best things a child can get addicted to which will can lower the outside influences. Especially if they know that their whims are not going to be met with at their homes, gradually the interest to get into anything that has a negative influence would probably wane away. I do the same things you mentioned with my son and he also enjoys plying the keyboard, going out cycling and playing cricket even if there are just one or two like him. But I have also been teaching till I quit recently and have found a lot of children totally into all these games and everything they name are sooo unnatural and violent such as real steel, clash of clans ,robots and stuff and everyone competing with each other, that I feel parents need to be counselled along with the kids and told about the harm all these things are causing.
