rambabu replied to the topic Excusitis is a disease of Failure..
The question of a yardstick doesn't arise in this case because an attempt is made to refer those who refuse to get results without even putting effort. But always come up with excuses. Success is measured with the scale of one;s success consistently. Of course nothing is permanent. Nadal the uncrowned king of clay court is replaced by Djokvic today. Tomorrow some one may come up.

It is best to leave such people alone, so that they will conduct life the way they want ! However, there is no yardstick for measuring success or failure since both are not permanent !

It's obvious. Developing a smart city involves deforestation for constructing activities. But it's only after a certain period the Afforestation starts in certain pockets of the city. It's very much connected.

It's all about those who come up with excuses. There may be reasons for failure and the reasons for failure can be seen for all. It's not generalization, But certain kind of people who refuse to work, but come up with lame excuses.

First of all how do you measure success? once you can do that successfully I guess one can also arrive at the reason for failure. I feel that there is no single definition for success , so it is impossible to generalise ..

True Without accepting failures, coming up with excuses is an act of cowardice. Such people fear to face failures. Falling is not a crime. But not getting up and resuming onward journey is a crime.

How does that matter and where is the connection being a smart city and availability of tamarind leaves ? Mangalore too is selected to be developed as smart city, not sure what that really means though !!!! It is the interest of the people that matters, if there is demand there is supply !

RAMAKRISHNAN. A replied to the topic Excusitis is a disease of Failure..
Failure happens in life, but if we can accept the mistakes and learn a lesson from it, then there is no need for excuses. Every excuse is a self-consolation. Also it is a process of justifying our mistakes to convince others who are doubtful about our ability.

You are lucky in that respect. Now that Vizag has been selected for developing in to a Smart city, the possibilities of availability of tamarind leaves or any leaves are vanishing.

usha manohar replied to the topic Interlinking of the Rivers.
The idea of interlinking different rivers took shape in 2005 by NWDA ( National Water Development Agency). The first river linking was done in Madhya Pradesh between Narmada and Ksipra which was completed in 14 months time and was inagurated in 2014.
But the river linking was thought of by the British in the 19th century mainly for the purpose of transportation of goods.
Later the matter did come up in 1980 and 1999 but took a concrete shape in 2005 on paper. There are more than half a dozen projects waiting for approval.

We had a delicacy made with Tamarind leaf and pulses. But the tamarind leaf simply disappeared. Even if one wants to prepare the ingredients are not available.

I totally agree that environment plays an essential part in shaping ones intelligent.A child born in a middle class home with an average intelligence if given the right exposure would be able to fine tune its intellectual skills , which probably will not be possible if there is no such exposure.
