True and this is what Behavioral genetics is all about. Firstly, not all traits are inherited equally otherwise there would not be any variation .Secondly, environment affects the genes to bring about further differences. Differences therefore are seen among individuals in terms of intelligence, behavior, looks and various abilities such as art , craft, music etc.

Here. a couple live in the opposite apartment where i'm living, They had a son who met with an accident and died.. They decided to lead a life of their own. They neither grieved nor lamented about the painful past. Practically their son was erased out of their memory .Switched over to spirituality and presently leading a happy life. Detachment played a pivotal role.for them.

I agree Chinmoy, one has to have inherited genes and the right environment to bring up a genius . That's how we see some dullards in the same family. When you look at the great contributors in any field, the offspring in many cases fail to live come up to their level. I guess there is imbalance somewhere either in their genes or their environment

What appeared to be exceptional cases decades back is now endemic and this problem is spreading its tentacles in Indian society. With single child norm being practised on a massiv scale in urban India and parental obsession has acquired a pathological dimensions.I have two shatteringly tragic cases in which both the middle-aged couples
took their lives following the accidental deaths of their only son.The parents have to develop the right kind of detachment and de-obsess,if I am permitted to use right term, from the affairs of their wards which take off to a different trajectory once they grow mature. They have to discover a world beyond their obsessions by engaging more with the bigger
world.

Shampa Sadhya answered the question In film industry most of the young hero's are sons or grand sons of old hero's, how many of you supports this ?.
It cannot be questioned at all. Choosing a career is one's personal choice and there is no reason that a hero's son should not opt for acting profession. To get success one has to be talented. Be it medical, legal, business, engineering and many other career where children plan to join especially because their fathers seem so well placed. So, choosing career cannot be determined by any law.

Shampa Sadhya answered the question Do you find shopping a relaxing activity ?.
I love shopping and it is extremely relaxing. Well, being in a middle class family it is not possible that I go for shopping without any need. It happens occasionally but not regularly. I feel more thrilled when I shop for my loved ones than when I do my personal shopping. It's sheer pleasure.

Yes Kalyani, I have both the plants in my garden ...but one plant of Citronella kept inside the house is really amazing. The only problem is that it is difficult to grow it since it requires light . So , now I mix a few drops of Citranella oil into water and keep it around the room..

Kalyani Nandurkar replied to the topic Aswagandha, the magical herb..
In my locality, Ashwagandha grows wild like weeds. Only the other day, my friend who is an ayurvedic doctor was telling me that eating two fresh leaves every morning on empty stomach followed by drinking warm water helps reducing weight to a great extent. So I uprooted one small plant from the street and have planted it in my window, waiting for it to grow and try its amazing properties.

beating the women candidates ! Come on that doesn't sound legal
Yes illegal. But those who go to any length to outsmart a woman will not think about illegalities.
I was kidding but you took that really so seriously.
But woman beating is very much happening. It is not only happening in slum dwelling people, but also in sophisticated highly educated folks
