Here is an incident that moves all. Mahesh hails from AP. and works as a cop in Police force His family is from Telegana,. After bifurcation of the state, both Mahesh and his family were targeted by the people of respective states. AP police bosses did not allow Mahesh even to pay a visit to his family in Telengana. Both Mahesh in AP and his family in Telangana were subjected to political and regional Zealots  miseries. This is the glaring example of a cop's woes.

Our National Anthem is such tune/song which runs in our blood beyond its pronunciation and language. I yet to find an Indian who did not get goosebumps while listening to it. This is just not a tune but an emotions of our History, our struggle and our freedom. Thank you so much for sharing such wonderful video.

Sharing a link of a post which includes a promotional video clipping of a Bengali movie in which the original Jana Gana Mana that constitutes of five stanzas is sung. You will fall in love with this song even if you don't understand the Bengali language. http://www.huffingtonpost.in/2015/09/24/indian-national-anthem_n_8168094.html

Our politicians remember them only during elections or else they are left to their own fate.. Not only backwards and dalits are sufferers, all common person is sufferers. Police is only for politician and influential.    At times I feel sorry for the police force because theirs is not an easy job, they are being pulled in different directions and even if some of them want to perform their duty, they will not be allowed to do so by the law breakers , mainly politicians and their goons. I have several relatives who are in the police force who feel stifled because of the political interference .. True Usha, political interference is the worst of the many things that the police have to put up with. They do not have enough salaries that can help keep them up with the ever-growing inflation, not enough modern weapons and equipment to do their jobs with. The goons and sociopaths they deal with are always better equipped than the police. On top of that, they have to work miserably long hours and cannot give enough time to families, resulting in broken homes and disgruntled children. It is a fact that in Pune and Mumbai, maximum number of police children indulge in crimes at one point or another. So what the state must be in UP , we can only imagine. So t is no wonder that the police take out their frustrations on the innocent hapless in such grisly manner.

Raja Ram Mohan Roy is a great historical figure who put laudable efforts to transform India and dared to defy the age old Hindu traditions. His relentless fight against Sati system which caused lot of brow raising around. He was threatened in many ways including castigation. But nothing stopped him.

Police Jobs are thankless jobs. They are on duty 24 hours without holidays or rest days. They bear the brunt of criticism both from the public and the politicians. The worst part is even their resignations are delayed and mostly denied.

@Usha We are not discussing the typical behavioral disorder of some, accepting the reality as it is but broader point of validity of conduct remaining steadfastly loyal to one's core principles.Had not Mahatma,Raja Ram Mohan Roy,Vidyasagar remained obstinate(!) to their chosen paths and goals the destiny of women of this country would have veered off to a different trajectory altogether. It was not a moral luxury for them but a necessity. How contemporaries treated them ? With stings of ridicule and heaps of insults. They shone gloriously in their majestic isolation. To cite a recent case which can open the eyes of those who wear utilitarian blinkers. All we know how Satyam Computers and its founder Raju courted disaster by only lending his soul to his majority of evil-doing ministers by completely eliminating the saner and conscientious elements!
