Once an individual even if  he or she is young, has been instilled with the right values , they automatically perceive what is right and what their limits are .Most of us would be lenient where age is concerned even the law has a different set of punishment for those very young and they would be given the benefit of doubt even by the law court !

Dr. Vishwanath  Prasad Tiwari, President Of Sahitya academy, questions, if the writers oppose the Government, what has Sahitya Akademi  what has the Sahitya Akademi got to do with it ? He firmly says that Sahitya Akademi is an autonomous body, writers should oppose the Government in a different way, but not by returning the Awards. http://www.rediff.com/news/interview/sahitya-akademi-president-why-are-writers-returning-awards/20151013.htm

Now, Anupam Kher has spoken against this practice of the writers very openly. Yesterday, there was a discussion on TOI Newshour, Kher was present and writers too. The writers were not ready to listen to the opinion of the other side and one said that they were creative people so they show their protest in different ways. Thus, this time they chose to return their award without any political agenda to back.

Obviously, there should be a limit. This is what I meant in my previous comment. If a group behaves like goons then there is no consideration but if as a group they indulge in some sort of mischief but within the limit then they must get some benefit of doubt especially age is a big factor which should not be ignored.

There are other CMs like Sidda ramiah in other states too. The spate of farmer deaths in Telangana did not move The CM Chandrasekhara rao.. In his own district Medak, recorded 34 farmer deaths after the formation Telangana state. Instead of taking measures to curb farmers deaths, simply dismissed them as opposition's drama. While these suicides are going on. The CM was touring China. What i wanted to tell is, the condition is prevailing in other states too

Speaking blatant lie to put someone in deep trouble or harm a genuine person cannot be appreciated. On the other hand if one says lie for someone's good then it's a different story. I think some or the other way we are getting entwined while discussing this topic. The reason why I say so is, this topic should not be discussed in that perspective when lie is spoken deliberately to save someone's life or to give a little happiness to anyone such as parents do lie to their little ones about Santa Claus but it has no harmful effect because when the child grows up and understands then it all pass by as a fun. We need to discuss and try to motivate each other that negativity is all around but that does not mean we should become dishonest. We all should be prepared for some harsh results for being honest and take it as it comes. Yes, there are people of sick mentality who can go to any extent to take revenge from honest people who cause them despair. That is traumatic and so it becomes difficult to take a decision but practising dishonesty just because it is the present norm then it's awfully wrong.

Kalyani Nandurkar said thank you to usha manohar for his/her reply to the topic Honesty is not the Best policy ?.
rambabu wrote: It is true that honesty may deprive you from mundane luxuries. But some times it may be necessary to be dishonest in order to avoid conflict and an ugly situation. Some times it becomes necessary  for the Doctors to save a dying patient. It is necessary to create hope and keep the patient alive or for recovery  If one  uses at times dishonest ways for some Nobel purpose, it's OK. But knowingly if one chooses Dishonesty, it is not good Ultimately it's the individual's choice that counts.   You are contradicting yourself...For  doctor saving life is the only honest thing there is and how can a life saving situation become dishonest? If he has the will he will do it no matter what opposition or red tape there is..Dishonesty and Nobel purpose can never go hand in hand and how is it OK to be dishonest but noble ??? and is the person not knowingly being dishonest to become noble,....It just does not make sense !

That is exactly what I wanted to say. Having arguments with others or some kind of verbal altercation is still okay, but when it comes right down to fisticuffs, use of choicest curse words and threatening with use of firearms all points to criminal and sociopathic inclinations. So it reflects very very poorly on the said persons and the institutes they represent/

I would like to go with @Kalyani as well as with @vijay too. The fact is we still expect students from good schools, colleges or institutions to reflect dignity in their attitude and behaviour but in many cases it is missing nowadays and which is a very sorry state. By saying this I would like to point out that if a group of people misbehaves or have a taste for wild fun does not allow us to single out each and everyone and judge them. In a group we cannot expect all to be of the same kind but due to some common reason they are fastened together and they usually tend to behave in a same manner when they are together but by this if we adjudge them as wrong people then it's not worth. Usually, when college friends go for a picnic or so some misbehaviour do take place but there should be some level headed person to control so that no one crosses the limit. Remember, we are talking about general people and not goons so we should not harshly come to a conclusion by observing them when they are together because friends do get charged up but maybe in reality they are very different persons as individuals. So, give some time to judge a person.

Framing unity has always been used by the politicians who remember them in their slogans and conveniently forget about them after elections. It is the responsibility of the state government to cater to the interest of all communities. If there have been suicides going on among the farmers it becomes the duty of the Chief Minister and the Minister in charge to go to the root of the problem and find the reason and eradicate thee problem rather than pretend there is no problem and go on with their pleasure seeking...Thats what is happening here , probably happening elsewhere in the country as well ! But here the CM has been useless all round in every sphere and naturally people are quite fed up his corrupt ways !

There have been many views coming out of ministers , general public , opposition parties and of course some of the writers themselves who feel that the whole exercise of returning the awards is nothing but a political manipulation backed by the grand old party which never misses an opportunity forgetting that worse atrocities have taken place during their rule...However, may be this is a culmination point taking all the past deeds into account , the writers may want the attack on freedom of expression ( which saw its peak during emergency ) to stop..

Though I'm not a stamp collector, i have a few Currency notes belonging to British regime. These notes were given to me by my grand father with love. Though I do not remember the British India, I certainly remember my Grand father's love. He was the one who pruned my name Rama Mohan Rao to Rambabu which afterward remained. Such things flood me whenever I see those currency notes by my Grand father. Every things which is given to by our elders are always important for us. Value is not important. I have single bed which is gifted by grand father ( maternal) to my mother in her marriage. My family member want to sell it but I am not agree. Like this I have more items which are in my house since my birth. These are not much useful but important for me. True Anil. There is an old time watch with its pendulum, which makes noise. Especially during nights, its noise disrupts sleep. My new generation children want me to dispose of this wall clock And they even  presented electronic clocks to me. I received them but I retained my old wall clock. It is still there.       It is the opposite in my own house, my children are even more particular about preserving old stuff. There is a very old grinding stone that must be a hundred years old belonging to my grand mother which is huge and it occupies a lot of space in the kitchen and I wanted to get rid of it quite reluctantly, but my children wanted to keep it because it looks 'Grand' and now we have put it in the garage making a special place for it ! In fact when my son is here he gets all sorts of old things from my ancestral home, the ones that are piled up in the attic and not being used and gets them cleaned, polished..
