Now, in Nirbhaya case the juvenile should not be let off because he was the cruellest among all and the whole gang caused brutality. There if we judge the juvenile according to his gang then there is nothing wrong. Well, if some break a queue and try to board a bus which definitely causes inconvenience for the others become an issue to be judged is asking for too much. It can be a moment of disagreement and disliking for the act but branding someone on the ground of misconduct caused due to the standard of companions is harsh on all of them.

Though I do not remember the British India, I certainly remember my Grand father's love. He was the one who pruned my name Rama Mohan Rao to Rambabu which afterward remained. Such things flood me whenever I see those currency notes by my Grand father. Every things which is given to by our elders are always important for us. Value is not important. I have single bed which is gifted by grand father ( maternal) to my mother in her marriage. My family member want to sell it but I am not agree. Like this I have more items which are in my house since my birth. These are not much useful but important for me. True Anil. There is an old time watch with its pendulum, which makes noise. Especially during nights, its noise disrupts sleep. My new generation children want me to dispose of this wall clock And they even  presented electronic clocks to me. I received them but I retained my old wall clock. It is still the It is the opposite in my own house, my children are even more particular about preserving old stuff. There is a very old grinding stone that must be a hundred years old belonging to my grand mother which is huge and it occupies a lot of space in the kitchen and I wanted to get rid of it quite reluctantly, but my children wanted to keep it because it looks 'Grand' and now we have put it in the garage making a special place for it ! In fact when my son is here he gets all sorts of old things from my ancestral home, the ones that are piled up in the attic and not being used and gets them cleaned, polished.. Same here also my younger brother use to do the same thing. He is also very fond of colorful stones, the aquarium stones makes him more happy. Now he maked his hobby to collect stones of different types and colors

This is a new revelation pertaining to Idol making of Durga. That a portion of the clay from the area where prostitutes live is altogether new thing for me. This further establishes the fact that in Durga goddess view all are same What an egalitarian view behind Durga Puja !

It's not only about communal harmony but if you have watched the latest Devdas then you must have observed that the idol of Goddess Durga cannot be made unless and until a little clay is collected from the area of the prostitutes. Though this practice has not changed the mindset of the people, we collectively reject the prostitutes without listening to their side of the story. Still, the clay has to be begged and is to be received from the hands of the prostitutes and then only the idol maker can make the Durga idol for Durga Puja by using that clay with the rest of the clay. This shows Goddess Durga puts everyone on a same level. One like it or not but one has to collect clay from that area to make the idol and rest of us pray to the idols without any hesitation. i have also heard from my close friends all these but i use to thing that they are just talking all rubbish but after you comment on this thread i checked on net and its true but i cannot understand why it is done. The idol maker can take the clay from a brahmin's wife and make their idol

The title "The most corrupt minister'  is very astonishing. I went througfh the links to search for what is the corruption for which the C.M. is blamed. Therfe appears nothing that could be called corruption. One may agree or not with need for a new designated accommodation for C.M.  There needs be a designated accommodation for C.M. This is provided for senior I.A.S officers as well.  some existing accommodation could be designated as C.M. accommodation or a new building could be constructed. It is for state administrative authorities to see. The accommodation being constructed is a public property and the C.M. will vacate after expiry of his term. There is no corruption involved even in second link that is about MLA accommodation.  Every financial decisioopn is not corruption.  When there is transparancy, proper sanction and allotment of funds,  the allegation of corruption cannot be made.

a lie is said to be good when it is used for the betterment of the people or anybody but when it is used to safeguard anybody to hide his/her evil deeds then it is wrong and it will not be taken in a good sense

I agree. I commented. I was following the news channels. But this link from The Hindu has thrown new light on the farmer deaths in AP and Telangana are equally distributed. It is not rampant only in Telagana, farmer deaths are there more even in AP. I was carried away by the partisan attitude of those news channels which support Chandrababu.

Of course this is ridiculous and laughable , and comes from a small section of people who have no other better business other than creating problems and I feel the less importance the media and others give to such people the better ! I had also read this. I feel that there should be no such restriction in widely celebrated public function. But when the function is private or limited to a residential society only, such restrictions could be okay. Incidentally, in most temples in Orissa, non Hindus are not allowed.  This also does not seem wrong. It is wrong to disturb others but okay not to allow others in your own functions.  Religion is not written on the forehead of any one. More over Graba celebration are of private. These are organize by groups of peoples. I am living in area where I never listen about this type restrictions. Here people of all religion celebrate Dusshara, Depawali and other festivals. It is another thing they don't worship like Hindus. If VHP is imposing this type restriction, than what is government is doing.                                    It happens only in some places and just because someone issues a statement , it does not mean that people are going to automatically obey and do as dictated by them. And government cannot unnecessarily get involved with these petty matters which may or not become a reality ..

Shampa Sadhya wrote: The link definitely focuses on the spirit of the pujo very nicely. A comment posted on the article has also reflected the secular trend of this festival. Durga Pujo will miss its fervour the day there will be no dhak players playing it and it charms more when there is dhunuchi dance too. yes you are totally, i am from west bengal and i know that how much important the DHAK is. I love watching dhunuchi dance, i always get shocked when i see that form of dance, i really have to say that the women are really daring at that time
