Let everyone have their say like Sunil and you have...
The main reason is the unity of opposition parties. A nice conclusion is in the link:

The link gives a very accurate analysis of how vote share and maths changed ....I am sure NDA would take note of all their mistakes and make sure they dont repeat them in the future !

Bhagavad Geeta, contrary to the belief of many is not a religious text, Its preachings are relevant even today
Geeta emphasizes to perform our obligatory duties. One is expected to be responsible to his family first. It also professes to earn knowledge that is the Path of Knowledge. In my view, every aspect of Geeta is relevant and useful to the society.
In fact many state governments included Bhagavad Geeta in their respective curricula, including Business schools.

The main reasons for Bihar poll debacle were already discussed in detail by Sunil. Of course, Unity in opposition is one of the many factors. Additionally, Shatrughan Sinha and R. K. Singh deceived the BJP. Shatrughan Sinha was dis satisfied be cause he was not given a minister post.

Sanskrit is a language like other languages. First, how many students are interested in reading languages. Maths, English, is much more important for students.
True. In the present scenario of Globalization, importance of subjects related to Maths, Physics and other related subjects gained importance. The aim is to achieve a livelihood with a purpose and meaning,
Actually in every field there has been a lot of contributions from various famous Indians and our children know very little of them. Jagadish Chandra Bose, Hargobind Khorana,Homi Bhaba, EK Janaki Ammal and Aryabhata are vague names for our students until they take up a subject where these names are more than important.I feel including these names in school level would give a sense of pride amongst our children, the pride of being Indian! Likewise I don't see harm in including the verses from The Geeta. It teaches us a lot and very much relevant even today.Of course that does not mean exclusion of the other languages or work of Great Scientists from world around. To include something, certain things have to be eliminated based on their importance in a particular state.

It was said earlier too, that such unrest conditions are created with an ulterior motive. About Media's role in creating panic, what all I can say is, to some extent Media could succeed. But with the time, Writers returning the Awards has become stale and ultimately the entire issue will disappear in to oblivion.

@GulshanJi- sorry but the truth is India has much more to lose if the relations between India and Nepal deteriorate at this point.
@rambabu- the relations between Indo-Nepal have been deteriorating for last 7-8 years after the system of Nepal changed from Kingdom to democracy. The communists under the influence of China have a major say in the politics which is taking Nepal toward China. China is spending billions and the Nepalis are enjoying the flow of money from India in competition with China.
@Usha the dispute between India and Nepalese people in bordering areas esp in Darjeeling area lead by Subhash Ghising who died this year in January has been the main reason of dispute between the two countries which Indians failed to settle as usual. In fact there is no country in Indian neighborhood whom we could call a true neighbor of our country for the bad policies of our governments in the past and present to some extent.
That's a Good analysis Sunil. You laid out two important and pertinent points on the subject. The first and foremost is that the belief we had that Nepal is a good neighbor proved to be a mirage. The second point is that, Nepal is really having good time in getting the funds from India to compete with China whose Expansionism is well known.
I feel Nepal in future Nepal should make itself ready for a a Big back stabbing from China.

Definitely. Resentment from the same party members like Shatrughna Sinha for not getting a minister post and Mohan Bhagawat's speech against reservations are a few strategical mistakes that lead to BJP debacle..
Now I feel that Lalu, the fodder thief will certainly black mail Nitish for his share of the loot. Nitish is generally a good politician. It's for the good of the Government and for himself, Nitish should keep a vigilant eye on Lalu.

India is right in showing its concerns now that Nepal will be a secular state and if it is going to be on Indian model then we need to seriously worry about our safety ..
No i don't agree with you about the border between nepal and india because there are lots of people whose family lives in nepal from years and if the border is made then they have to waste their time in visa and all that red-tapism
There is no Visa system in between Nepal and India (unless you're traveling by air a passport is enough) There are thousands of families living in both these two countries for centuries peacefully despite having disputes but the communist parties are trying to bring the trouble from both sides. The present Madheshi dispute is one of these problems which is nothing but to sideline the Indians in Nepal.

One of the reasons of BJP's debacle has been the so-called upper caste people stayed away from polling process or they came out in very few numbers. Party members like Shatrughan Sinha have been openly criticizing Modi for not inducting him as minister at center. I Suggest Modi should deal with all such people with stricter hands and show them their right place if he has to keep discipline in the party and not to mention the MPs speaking senselessly while addressing public meetings. Mohan Bhagwat made a strategical mistake in his speech in a state like Bihar speaking against reservation though I personally feel all reservations should go immediately.

BJP can still take consolation in the fact that it has got the largest vote share at 24.8 % whereas JD(u) got 16.7% and Lalus party got 18.5%.Clearly BJp would have fared better if they had put their minds to it and had a more people friendly strategy ! I hope they take better care with Tamilnadu, Kerala ,Assam,West Bengal etc..which will go into polls next year
