Where knowledge fails and ignorance completely engulfs one's mind we can expect all sorts of absurd views! A few Indians love to create history without reading it!! Now a few words on contemporary developments which so compellingly highlight how important it has become to learn this language along with other old languages like Tamil and others. With the establishment WTO the need to protect India's intellectual property (IPR) under TRIPS under traditional knowledge (TK) and technologies. There are an estimated 22,60000 medicinal formulations alone to be protected to safeguard our economic interests against bio-piracy.All we know how Turmeric and Neem were nearly robbed of us by others claiming wrong geographical indicators (GI) and we had to turn to authentic Sanskrit texts to save us the day. So a little bit of old stamp does help!!

I use desk top in office and home both places and so never used smart phone. But the link below opines that smartphone is more useful for several reasons. O course, you may use smartphone also when you are on the move. Probably this is the sort of  difference that a land line and mobile phone have.  https://in.finance.yahoo.com/news/5-reasons-why-smartphones-better-062922839.html

I had an impression that an old man does not feel depression as he has no more worries related ti job as well as family being retired and settled all domestic problems like children education and marriage etc. But now a research says that old age brings more depression. The reasons are weak physical condition and sickness.  It appears that old people need more care and health facilities. http://www.financialexpress.com/article/lifestyle/health/depressive-symptoms-increase-with-age/165525/

There is a also a Sanskrit news report in DD channel ! The present government wants to revive Sanskrit which is a very positive step but the opposition and Congress sympathisers see saffron even there !  Thanks for accepting the reality of Sanskrit being an extinct language though indirectly saying that 'present government wants to revive Sanskrit."  What is 'revive'. This is to give life to some thing that is dead. They are trying to 'revive' because the language is 'extinct'.  Moreover, mere use in slokas and mantras for rituals is hardly a manifestation of a living language. Any way, if some people want to announce that Sanskrit is living language though neither understood nor read nor spoken in any state nor used in any office nor a medium of instruction anywhere, let them do. I am simply amused. What is the sense in saying that this language is a matter of research and so this is living. That way even old stamps are there in collectors' album. What does that mean?

You are right. It were I who mistook it. David Cameroon said that Koh-I-noor will not be returned to India during his recent visit

Life is never free of problems, in fact when you through with one, you have another set of problems so I would choose the second option where I am fit and ready to fight ..

rambabu replied to the topic selecting tenant for house .
Recently there were cases of anti social elements taking houses for rent and indulging anti social activities. I have seen in Bangalore some flats have their own security systems. Before employing a new employee as cleaners or house maids, the people who live in the flats are asked to inform the security of the flat and they will check the antecedents of the new recruit.

Basically it should be the house owner who should let out the house on his or her terms because afterall it is their house and they also know their neighborhood and their own expectations as to what kind of tenants they want. Once an agreement is entered into where all the conditions have been put down, one should give space to each other as long as there is no overstepping from both sides. It is also mandatory in my city now to provide the tenants details , their previous owners names and their own place of dwelling and their office address with a recent photograph to the local police station after we had several cases where questionable characters posing mostly as Hindus were renting our houses in the city area and were later found to be plotting something or the other..

A change has started. Society started seeing the Transgenders  as normal humans . More and more transgenders should come forward so that the taboos encircling  the Transgenders go away once and for all.

Modi has not gone to get back Kohinoor and neither has David Cameroon commented on it now. His comments were made sometime back...However, since the whole Kohinoor affair remains a mystery without much proof , it may be difficult to bring it back although most Indians would naturally want it to be restored to its place of origin !
