In fact the stage of depression is related when a person finds that nothing is working according to his own choice which is possible in any age and nothing to do with elderly in particular.

Agreed, people living mostly at home find a desktop as best way of computing but people on the go have no choice but to use different ways of stay connected.

Many people have voluntarily given up the subsidy, and now with this new measure a lot more would be doing that ! Since the difference is not too much I guess people who have to give up wouldn't mind so much while the ones benefiting because of this would be grateful..

As much I know there were both NRIs and RIs who had gone to witness Modi's performance in UK. And the Indians were not from Gujarat only but from all part of the country. I was hearing Cameroon and then Mody who was speaking in English but as soon as he asked "diwali kaise manai?" the entire scenario changed. After that it was Modi's show all the way despite a few things which he could have avoided speaking in a foreign land.

Noise pollution is one of the worst problems we have in India along with of course other pollutants. Thankfully I have seen a great awareness among people in my town and we have just 25% of the usual noise that is associated with Deepavali. No doubt you want to light some fireworks but the noisy ones are so disturbing..I see much less noise this year and I am glad about it.
Congratulation, peoples of your city are sensible. fireworks which produced loud voice in banned but who care about banned. From last four days, I feeling vibration in my house. I am deaf but I am ill at ease. Think how is loud voice of these bombs.
I can understand how you must be feeling...My mother lost hearing in her right ear 6 years ago when a firecracker thrown from the next compound by some youngsters fell next to her with a shattering sound , while she was sitting on a chair in her garden and resting in the afternoon. She woke up with a shock when it went off with a loud bang and her ears were vibrating and very painful ...She is now 80% deaf in that ear and uses a hearing aid ! People are very irresponsible in India and with the kind of Chalta hai attitude we have developed over the years, people have become utterly selfish and have absolutely no civic sense or social awareness !

Just to avail 100/ per motnh or so no one will take a risk of showing their income below 10 lacs. The rates of subsidized and non-subsidized have only about that much of difference and as per the rules one can take only 12 cylinders per year. Besides they are going to take the subsidy off from all MPs etc too.

In a way it is good they are targeting the western world because then, only then some action will be taken by the great nations..Life is chaep elsewhere especially in Asia !

When people want to show their love for their country they get together and do it in any way they think is appropriate, regardless of their being residents or non residents and if some people have some issue about it, I guess it is to be expected and taken with a pinch of salt ! I am sure they were meant to be amusing and entertaining ! It was their way of honoring the leader of their mother nation..
