Really entertaining. But some hypocrisy is everywhere in the world. we have some taboos and inhibitions in society.  You can't act openly as you would like. So you pose as society likes and you act as you like.

Kalyani Nandurkar said thank you to usha manohar for his/her reply to the topic Books Indian readers cannot read ...
Chidambaram , former Finance minister has now said that banning Satanic Verses by the Congress government was a mistake - too late , since since then intolerance began to be a way of life in India. Thankfully he has admitted what everyone knew ! Banning has never helped and in India we have had too many books banned from time to time. I remember , when Da Vinci Code was released the Christian community was up in the arms since the book was quite controversial questioning the very foundation of their faith but no Christian country banned it ..

The Indian armed forces, more particularly the army have a long history of valor and bravery. The present Indian army traces it's lineage to the days of the British Raj, represented first by the East India Company and later by the British crown. The Indian army has no connection with earlier Hindu or Muslim armies and one can safely say that the Indian armed forces were created by the English for their own use and subsequently after independence were inherited by the Indian state. The Indian army was the lynchpin of English rule all over the world and the army saw action in far away places like China( opium wars and Boxer Rebellion) and Afghanistan( Three Anglo-Afghan wars) as well a stellar role in two World Wars, where they played a significant part in the allied Victory. In 1947, India  inherited a very professional and battle hardened army. The Congress party which came to power under Nehru had an entirely different concept of military power, or if one is not chariatable one can say they were novices in the role of military power in formulating policy and standing in world polity of nations. Some of their opinions were to say the least ludicrous, like the time when the Indian president Dr Rajendra Prasad in 1955 stated that the Indian army should be disbanded and policemen could be used to 'look after'  the border with Pakistan and China. Luckliy his thoughts did not bear fruit. After 1947, Nehru who became the prime minister after a lifetime of sitting on satyagraha had under him a powerful army. Unfortunately he had no idea of power politics and he also distrusted the army. This distrust was accentuated when General Ayub Khan seized power in a military coup in Pakistan and General Ne Win became the strong man of Burma, ousting a national leader like Aung San. These military coups convinced Nehru, that he could also be ousted bya military coup and thus he made plans to downgrade the army.  Firstly he reduced the standing army and secondy withdrew many perks and privileges which had existed from the days of the Raj. Worse he vetoed any plan to train and arm the army on modern lines with latest weaponry.  He was in real terms a silly man, as he strutted about the world stage as a " great third world leader". He assumed that a defanged army would not matter and the world would respect him as a great statesman. One wishes he had read history as the model followed by Nehru did not exist and all empires and large nations survived on military might. He also began to tinker with the army general staff and began to promote generals who he felt were more loyal to him. He sidelined many veterans  in this scheme. He also began to promote his cousin BM Kaul as Army Chief by promoting him to a Lieutenant General , without adequate experience. Such promotions were like a last straw on the camels back and the then Chief General Thimmiya resigned. Nehru placated Thimmiya and promoted Kaul after he had retired and made him Corps commander. Thus he put the Indian army under a novice. Nehru continued merrily and was not aware that China was into a military build up in Tibet. Earlier also he had shown his incompetence by agreeing for a cease fire in Kashmir in 1948, when the tribals and the Pakistan army were retreating and on the run. Nehru thus did grave harm to the Indian nation by keepig the army short of weaponry. He thought he had forestalled a coup. Actually there was no chance of a coup at all, but Nehru was a man with a paranoid vision. The house that Jack built had to collapse and in Ovtober 1962, the Chinese army struck across the Himalays. The Indian army taken unaware and fighting with First World War rifles was resoundingly beaten. Nehru had his ego pricked and he was shamed in the world. He died a year and half later, a broken man who could not visualize the concept of military power. It is recorded that after the defeat in 1962, Nehru never made a visit abroad. Now one can see that the seeds sown by Nehru are sprouting and even Narendra Modi is committing the same mistake as Nehru.

India is passing through a baptism by fire as the Muslims, other minorities and large sections of Hindus castigate the present government for bring in 'intolerence' in the Indian state. The situation turned turtle when the Bharatiya Janta Party( BJP) came to power in the Indian parliament with a splendid majority. This had never happened for the last 67 years when the Congress party in the main ruled India. Even when Atal Vajpayee was the prime minister he ran the government with a fractured  mandate. Thus, to so called secularists the victory of the BJP, which esposed Hindu thoughts and dreams was like a red rag to a bull and a great orchestrated campaign  of  "intolerence"  was started by these groups. The target was the BJP and it's leader Narendra Modi: the aim being to somehow overthrow the  elected government or at least make things so bad for them that they are defeated in the next election and presently cannot give effective government. In a debate in parliament the CPI leader Mohammed Salim accused the Home Minister Rajnath Singh of making a statement that India now had a Hindu prime minister. Mohammed Salim was very theatrical in making his accusations and it was sad to know that Rajnath Singh denied the statements One got a feeling that to talk of Hindu Rashtra was a sin. Why should it be so?  A look back at history is essential for a further discussion. Till the 10th century when the Hindus ruled India , the only type of government in India was a Hindu Rashtra as the Indian kngs upheld the  supremacy of Hinduism and governed as per the rule of "dharma". History records that despite being a Hindu Rashtra, there was freedom of worship and Jains, Buddhists and Muslism were free to worship their gods and idols. During this period the Parsi, the followers of Zoroaster also came and settled in India, to escape persecution by Muslims in Iran. From the 10th century the Muslims conquered India. It started with the north and a few centuries later the South was also conquered and Muslim dynasties began to rule there.  William Duff the eminent historian has brought out that this was the dark age of India and upward of 80 million Hindus were killed as a Islamic state was imposed over India. Hindus had to pay Jizziya ( tax on non Muslims)  in their own land and were reduced to second class status. Hindu girls were abducted and made part of large harems. These are facts of history.  The sad part in all this, was the collabration of  many Hindu's with the Muslims. Thus the army of Aurangzeb  had a large number of Hindus and his finest general Raja Jai Singh was a Hindu. He was the man who even defeated Shivaji and made him sue for peace. Yet these privileged Hindus did nothing for the Hindu masses who toiled in a Muslim state. Even  in deep South, Tippu Sultan destroyed thousands of temples and churches and forcibly circumcised and made Hindus eat beef. These are facts that cannot be denied. The sum total is that Muslim rule was a nightmare and apart from some constructions of mosques and tombs, one cannot see what Muslim rule contributed. On the contrary French and Catholic Jesuits during this period in their journals have pointed out that Muslim rulers were in the habit of making large pyramids of Hindu skulls. Even the so called "great" Akbar is guilty of this neferious practice. From the 19th century, the British entered the scenario. Despite all the bad points of British rule which the Congress government is in the habit of pointing out, the English rule was a benevolent period. The population began to grow and Hindus got their rights back after 900 years. There was spread of education and the country was linked for the first time in 4000 years of history as a single entity. The Muslims who  had been defeated by the English, obviously sulked as the Hindus marched ahead.  But again the British at no time had more than 100,000 of their clansmen in India and these governed a population of 300 million.  How was this possible? The reason was that many Indians ( both Muslims and Hindus) collabrated with the English. Indian rulers( Mahrajahs and Nawabs) also sided with the English. The bigger factor was a large mercenary army that consisted of 95% so called martial races, recruited from Indians that helped English rule. These are facts of history which are difficult to digest and one wonders what was the reason for the Hindus ( who were in majority) to accept this dispensation. Perhaps  as VS Naipaul has pointed out now and earlier by Frank Moraes, lies in the genes of the Hindus which believe in acts of allmighty and a passive approach to life. Frank Moraes coined the word " meek and mild Hindu". Nirad C Choudhry, India's most famous writer in English  in his famous book " Continent of Circe" has also touched on this aspect. The fact is the Hindus were at a loss psychologically as to what to do after 900 years of Muslim rule, where they had been numbed into submission. When power was transferred to India, the Hindus in the main charted a path of so called secularism, in reality appeasement of the Muslim minority to ' placate' them. This has been commented upon by many writers. In 1947, Gandhi accepted the two nation theory of Hindus and Muslims being seperate nations and the state of Pakistan was created. Logically India should have been declared a Hindu rashtra.  Somehow the Congress led by Nehru and Gandhi negated this aspect of a historical truth and agreed for a ' secular' state. Unfortunately this secular state in real terms meant a policy of appeasement and building of vote banks. It was a devilish scheme. I have on authority of a leading politician who is my friend stating that this policy had a deep background. The idea was to win 99% of the minority vote and with even a 30-32 % Hindu vote the Congress would always win. But sometimes the best of plots go awry and it happened that splinter parties came up with regional bias and this plan failed in 2014. The question is what is wrong if India is a Hindu rashtra? There was Hindu rashtra till 10th century and having a Hindu Rashtra now does not mean the minorities will have no rights. It will however correct the historical imbalance, where Hindus have suffered for 1100 years. I may be out on alimb, but many agree with me. The biggest bulwark is the Congress and their allies like the left parties  and casteist parties like JD. I wonder how these can be defeated as they have ganged up and are propagating the canard of intolerence.

Background America is the largest ( area wise) democracy in the world. To get an idea of its size, one can compare it to India and see that it covers a land area which is 5 times the size of India. America has been a democracy since 1776, when American War of Independence took place against the British. George Washington became the first president. Over almost 240 years the basic structure of American democracy is the same and consists of both direct and indirect election process. The American election is a two tier system, where an electoral college elects the  president The electoral college consists of all the states of the union and each state is allotted a particular number of votes depending upon its population and area. Direct elections are held to determine which candidate wins a particular state. Thus a candidate will win all the electoral votes  of a state in case he wins by even one vote. This in effect is in a way a flawed syatem, as it can lead to a situation where a candidate may win in the USA on a minority vote, by virtue of him having bagged the electoral votes of a particular state. In 1984 Ronald Reagon became US president on a vote of just 25% of the eligble voters  The American election is however a fairly representative election, but is a closed world as basically the entire scenario is dominated by 2 parties, namely the Republicans and Democrats. The proliferation of parties on liguistic and religious lines is not there , like in India. It is basically a two party system. The Present election The US will face another election as President Obama would have completed his term of 8 years. This is the maximum allowed by the US constitution. This limitation of two terms or 8 years was incorperated in the US constitution after World War II. Earlier there were no restrictions and President Roosevelt was able to get elected for 4 terms.  Obama won the election on a splintered vote. The New York Times has noted after an analysis that Obama won as he polled 95% of the vote of Hispanics, coloreds and migrants. All he needed was a  minority of the white vote to sail into Parliament. The Blacks, Hispanics and other migrants constitute 27% of the US population and as such Obama won riding on their heads. As President he was in a way divisive and many felt his loyalty to the US constitution was suspect, because of his Muslim  background. His family has been Muslims for generations and he himself admitted that he had gone to a "Muslim School"  while he was in Indonesia. Obama toned down the war on terror and repeatedly emphasised that Islam was a peaceful religion. He also announced that America was no longer a Christian nation, when 90% of all Americans are Christians. Many Americasn are thus happy to see him go. I have during my visits to America been told by many Americans that the rise of Obama was an aberration and such a thing won't happen again. The rise of the extreme right and Donald Trump The period of Obama's presidency has led to a rise of the Muslim extremists who are what is known as Salafists( followers of hard line Islam). These groups fired with a zeal to restore the Caliphate all over the world have risen like the 9 head Hydra. During the term of Obama the ISIL and Daesh  have occupied a large area in Iraq and Syrai and tried to establish their rule. The area  is huge and is more than the area of France. The leader of the ISI is Abu Baghdadi, a charismatic figure. Not many know that he was in detention in  US army custody , till ordered to be released by Obama in 2009. This man considers himself as the Caliph and despite many attempts to kill him by drones and other methods has survived. He has built up an aura of invincibility and his message has tremendous appeal for Muslims. The result is that Muslims from all over the world have enlisted to join the forces under Baghdadi. The ISI also spreads fear and this is enforced by mass killings and beheadings, duly recorded and broadcast on video. Many American workers doing humanitarian work have been caught and beheaded. Baghdadi himself captured an American grl working as a aid worker and forcibly married and impregnated her. She was killed in a drone attack. In addition his appeal which transcends boundaries has led to terror attacks all over the world. In these attacks the local Muslim population acting as a fifth column, have facilitated these acts of carnage. The result of all this is that the American people ( a large number of them) are bewildered. They are wondering whether their life style would be disrupted by infilteration of Muslims in all walks of life. They are further not reassured by the rhetoric of President Obama, that Islam is a peaceful religion. Acts of terrorism and being a peaceful religion do not gel together and most Americans have realised the Pan World nature of Islam and the result is that 26 governors of US states have refused to take in Muslim refugees from the Middle East. This is the reason that the leading contender at the moment for the Republican nomination is Donald Trump. Donald Trump may or may not get the nomination, but there is no doubt that he articulates many of the fellings of the US populace. Donald Trump has minced no words and feels Muslism in the USA are a threat. He has called for all Muslism to be registered and a ban on construction of mosques. The mosque is the symbol of Islam and one can see that Saudi Arabia offered to  build 1000 mosques in Europe for the Muslim refugees. In a way it acts as a divisive symbol as it is used to further the Wahabbi concept of Islam Donald Trump is the leader at the moment among the republican candidates. He has also called for internment of suspected Muslims indulgimg or likely to indulge in activities of a prejudicial nature like Roosevelt did to the Japanese in the US during World war II. In a TV debate Trump was forthright and despite being called a fascist, has stuck to his views. The American public at large are wary of Muslims who presently are a microscopic minority in the USA.( about2%). They fear that in case this number increase, the Muslims will  disrupt the life of an average American. America is a violent society and killings by guns is endemic. But Americans feel that guns by themselves are not the danger  and the real danger is a bigoted Muslim who may decide to destroy America from within. Donald Trump represents a state of mind of the US voter and there is every chance that the next president will be one who will rein in Islamic fundamentalism and not allow Islam to flourish in America. Donald Trump may win or lose, but he has articulated the feelings of millions of Americans

Will it end the terror? Why is that all the activity begins when something happens in western world and why don't they wake up while attacks with more intensity hit the third world countries? They go dropping bombs, destroying buildings, killing people at their will but a country like India is not allowed to do the same on obvious enemy targets. The way they are fighting with terrorism nothing will not end change. I guess more of terrorist groups will replace the one which will disappear in such reckless attacks. The terrorists have nothing to lose. In fact, the dreaded terror group IS has begun to retaliate against the western world with added fire. They have been in the process of recruiting Jehadis from their targeted countries constantly. Don’t you think if all the innocent people killed in Africa and Asia will shout at the top of their voices ask a simple questions from the western leaders, ‘what were you doing when we were being killed or do you think that your blood is more red than ours?’, but they the thousands in number are dead so no one will come and ask such questions. The almighty rulers in of the western world can analyze the situation as per their own convenience because they are in a situation of being able to proceed with everything without any obvious difficulty. Trust me I am not in favor of any kind of terrorism or atrocities on the innocents, this side or that side but why they do not see the realty? I don’t see any immediate danger against India or in near future although we are on the hit list of this terror group and are part of their map which they intend to capture in the first phase but they are not much bothered about India or recruiting jehadis in/from India in obvious manner.   Maybe the IS leaders do not have much hopes from Indian Muslims or the process is too slow to be noticed for the time being but who knows! The IS certainly has the plans as their maps clearly show India as their territory in future. The IS leaders consider Indians especially Hindus as their enemies categorizing them as criminals who commit atrocities against Muslims including murders, rape, burning, looting of property, cutting limbs of Muslims and keeping Muslims in jails for no reasons. And the worst of all they consider all non-Muslims are worth killing.  Terrorism is the biggest challenge for the world As I have already said I am not a resist and I very much trust in equality among all the people in the world with a clear understanding that none is superior or inferior as long he is not against the humanity. But at this point I am feeling somewhat astounded and beginning to believe that both the sides are not thinking in right direction but heading towards ‘clashes of the civilizations’. I have many stats to prove which should prove my points beyond any doubts. If you go through the global terrorism index-2015, it will clearly show you the picture with close to 13,500 incidents in the world which were 35% more than such incidents in 2013. The most people died in these attacks were from Iraq, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Syria and Pakistan which accounted for almost 80% of the total dead in the entire world. India surprisingly stood at 6th spot where 416 people lost their lives in terror related activities. !3/11 V/S 26/11 There is so much hue and cry about 13/11 in Paris which left 130 people killed and almost all so-called superpowers worth their name in the world are out to destroy Baghdadi and his terrorist outfit called IS which is fine by all means but India faced similar or even worse attack better known as 26/11 that left almost 170 people killed and lot many injured but then no country came forward or tried to impose a ban on Pakistan. Mumbai is waiting to see the designer of that attack Hafiz Saeed living a public life in Pakistan under the protection of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. The only action taken against him is that the USA has declared a prize amounting to $10 million and the matter ends there. Everyone knows that he is living there a lavishly life with all the facilities but no one is interested to catch him.  India is not allowed to take any action against her enemies like Dawood Ibrahim and Hafiz Saeed as the international society feels that will be against the international rules. I wonder where the rules have gone now or the rules are applicable on weaker countries only? Indian foreign ministry has provided concrete proofs of residence and other activities of Dawwod and Saeed to Pakistani and other international agencies but they are least bothered taking any action against any of these international criminals but the way the action is going on against Paris culprits it should be an eye opener for third world countries and they should come on one common platform immediately. Look at the difference on two similar incidents, the culprits of 26/11 are enjoying their activities and Russia, America, France at war with 13/11 attackers with all their destructive power. Will the western world succeed? There not many takers in the theory that such attacks on terrorist centers will make any difference in the long run rather these attacks will intensify the terrorist groups and their activities instead. What happened after the use fought a long war in Afghanistan or what was the result once the Saddam was killed which was in fact a false alarm and which brought lots of intricate situations for the world. The USA and other developed nations kept bombing and shooting for years on terrorists and civilians which were unintentionally hit in the war against terror but these killings created a lot of anger in locals especially the innocent ones who paid a price for none of their faults.  That also generated a state of hate in the minds of some Muslim groups if not all Muslim groups. Do you remember it was vastly publicized that Obama watched the killing of Osama LIVE on big screen like people watch a cricket match in India. Actually the US wanted to show the world that Obama was leading the operation Osama from the front. There is no doubt about the fact that Osama was one of the biggest terrorist leaders by the time he was killed and we had to believe the propaganda coming from western sources the terror should have ended at that point but it did not. In fact people like Al Baghdadi have taken the war from that point with additional force and attacking the world with increased intensity.  Al Baghdadi has gone a step further compared to Osama who used to operate from a hidden den but Baghdadi has declared himself a Khalifa who works openly like a king and has plans to extend his kingdom according to well planned programs. Even if the western forces succeed to kill him he will be succeeded by another leader of the group just like the leader of a Caliphate (same as Khalifa). You can compare this with the incident of Bhinderwala killing during the Golden temple incident which is like martyrdom in the name of god and the person thus killed is revered by his followers. A sect tries to follow his steps and appeals to others to follow him too.  The fight and the reasons There are certain reasons present in the society which provides purposes to such a mentality that leads to development of terrorism. Different societies consider different reasons for development of terrorist mentality but as far western world is concerned they considered Al Kaida as their biggest enemy now that Al Baghdadi has replaced Osama as these two have challenged the power of west entering in their own domain an area of territory owned and controlled by superpowers who can drop thousands bomb even if single of their citizen dies but they overlook any or every incident which happens in weaker countries as they feel that all these countries and their poor/uncivilized citizens deserve such treatment. You can check it by a simple survey on reports during the previous and the week after the incident of 13/11 in Paris which is enough to show you the number of people died during this period in terrorist attacks but no Obama, Putin, Cameroon or Putting came forward to save or discuss about them. No one says IS is not a big terrorist organization at present time but the way bombing is being carried out on Syrian cities and villages is not a war against terror but they are probably finishing their prospective enemies. No western country has started a war against Boko Haram which is probably bigger and more dangerous terror group operating in particular region of Africa but the victims are mostly poor African citizens so it’s easier to overlook them and concentrate on western world. However the fact remains to be seen if the Boko Haram decides to attack a western country or attacks Americans posted in African countries will they tolerate it or retaliate with same or even more intensity?    There are different reasons which should be kept in mind while making a comparative study on all such matters which involves western world. Most western multinational corporate think that the world is a global village as far their business related activities are concerned. They even demand a tax rebate or free license to work freely but when it comes to killing of innocent citizens of those very countries their governments do not care to speak a single word. And this will prove harmful in the long run for the world community when no third world countries will trust the western world.  The time is gone when the developed countries, the permanent members of Defense Council will feel that the safety of their citizen is more important than rest of the world they will have to suffer the consequences and they should understand this point earlier than later. There is a saying in my area that if the neighbor’s house is on fire you cannot smoke entering into your own house or even it might get damaged as well. I would like to say with all my sympathies with Paris incident victims that if the western world does not come out of their limited mindset the situation is not going to improve, the terror will not end with the current measures.    India’s role in fight against terror There are many reasons India has decided to stay away from the direct action against terrorism and the one that could be the prime reason that India is still looking for the 39 hostages said to be still alive although certain reports and an eye witness from Bangladesh says they were killed long time ago. Besides the disturbing reports that IS is spreading its activities in southern Asia having scores of Afghani people in its ranks especially after the fall of Osama and the reports that such Afghan groups do not take lightly any support to anti IS movement. Maybe India is in no mood to increase their enemies for no specific reasons. Besides IS has no current plans to intensify its activities in Indian region barring stray incidents of individuals trying to join IS but that is almost in negligible number at least on face value.  There is another factor related to IS that it has shown interest in Pakistan according to ‘Dabiq’ which is the online magazine published every month by the Islamic State of Iraq and which propagates its rules and also the  recruitment opportunities for Muslims all over the world starting July 2014 in different languages including English. According to Dabiq the IS is interested in Pakistan for nuclear bombs and if they succeed to capture those bombs there should be no doubt about the fact that India will be one of the main targets of them. So, for the time being India is keeping a distance from activities against IS but who knows if they join the forces in future.

You cannot change overnight How would you react if I say that respecting others’ opinion is one thing but taking that literarily is neither necessary nor that puts you in a situation which strengthens their own position by putting you down nor makes you feel inadequate and unsuitable for moving up the career ladder , so why worry about something which is not relevant! This is simply a situation which will weaken your position.  But that is not easy to convey indirectly through what one says, rather than stating it explicitly. However it all takes time since you cannot change your way of thinking overnight. So let them say what they like but you act and move on your own as like.  Change your ways but according to your own capabilities. If you run after money, fame, a better job that is not wrong. Everyone is after these things but you must know your limitations and if you are limiting all your efforts around these activities or looking for things which some others with more capabilities than yourself then you’re probably in for disappointment. If you wish to remain happy avoid things beyond your control and you know that for sure.  I know myself better than others I might be sounding bit different and I accept that I am a bit different today and there is a reason for that. It is for the first time one of my articles has been rejected and the reason for rejection is the editor did not find use one particular world in the title appropriate. He said he had never heard that word ever before. He could be right because when I goggled that world most of the people who had used that particular world were corrected by people in comments because most of them were from western world and neither of them had heard that word before.  So what I did I replaced the word with what I thought was the nearest possible word but send a link to the editor on his personal mail. He was astonished reading my mail and even apologized for his action but I did not mind it. I know we all have our limitations and work within them. That rejection shook my confidence for a moment but I knew I was right so did not give up only changed a bit to adjust others view although I could have gone into a prolonged controversy which would have brought no result for me.  Actually I am no more new to experiences like these but that was my first rejection so it shook some of my confidence for a moment but I did not let the experience override him because I did not want to give an ignorant much importance.  Actually speaking this was my first rejection ever but certainly not the first experience where a personal opinion had disappointed me or pained me. I have gone through such incidents at number of times during my job also but more so during my online work where we have not met the people in person. I have learned to stay neutral on all such occasions but sometimes I have countered these people, mildly and with decency though. I respect them all but trust me I do not care a bit how they think about me, no more.   The virtual world is different from real world Let me accept, some of us have started to believe on falls things more than realities of life. We have started to believe virtual world more than the real world. I do not believe in how many friends do I have on Facebook and how many likes I get on my posts because I have not met more than 70% of my FB friends in my life. I do not feel happy because I am associated with hundreds of FB groups but I feel great when my real friends enjoy their evenings with me.  My satisfaction level does not go up or down when I see the directory of my mobile phone increasing. In fact the virtual will never replace the real world as I have a firm faith that technique will never replace the happiness that you get in presence of real friends. I suggest you to come out of the virtual world and your home and meet the world in person. Let me also tell you that there is just one person in this world whose opinion matters to you more than anybody else’s and that is YOU. If you care for others more than you must then there is nothing that will ruin your career. So it’s important you respect yourself and do what you think is best in your own interest.  Fear of rejection When a person thinks too much about rejection or cares about others more than needed that is clear indication of our fear for others’ opinion. Do you really feel that they will get away from you if we would not agree to all their proposals or upset them in their unjust demands? As far I am concerned I have not much care for people with a particular point of view- how would they react! That’s none of my business. I know you may experience criticism and more circumstances but you cannot change all of them. And if you cannot change this or others criticizing you for things which you cannot change then why worry about them.  You know what in certain cases I have decided to cut all such people out of my life. I don't need people stay around me who make indecent or discriminatory comments. I have decided to set certain boundaries with people who have no business to criticize me for no reason. It may take time but once you have decided to not care about unconcerned persons the matters end there. You reach to this decision once you know that people are not worried about your worries but they are concerned about their personal gains.  You must learn from your own mistakes There is a very common factor that most of us realize that rejection or not being part of a particular popular group, our body finds it tough to cope with certain situations or decreases its resistance to disease. I am in a way helping myself by staying away from all such activities. When we fail to achieve or make a mistake that becomes public we feel like the entire world is laughing on us. But, are you sure that it’s the reality? In my views it’s not because most people fail in their efforts to get success so you must know it as it’s a universal truth. No one in this world has 100% success record. You win some and at the same time you lose some, more or less. I am the one who get tougher with every failure. I learn from my mistakes.  We must know our positive side We all have positive points in us but do not know them but we mostly concentrate of negative points and keep worrying about them. I sometime feel to maintain a business like ledger having credit and debt sides and start posting my own positive and negative points and make a balance sheet in the end. I hope this should boost up my self confidence in the end.  I suggest you think about your higher self which means the sounds you hear reminding you that you’re right. You should keep consulting your own self and listen to him, I am again sure you will not regret that you heard and trusted your own inner voice.   Sometimes they are right Yes, it’s not wise to reject all the opinions out rightly but give them a thought before doing so.  Some of them may prove right or even precious too. But as I said you’re the best judge and you have to see whether they come good on your own way of thinking. I guess one is experienced enough to see the value of a particular opinion. You will have to decide about all such opinions on their merits.  It takes time in getting rid of certain habits and caring about others excessively is one of them. Once you learn to trust your own decision keeping others away out of your personal matters you will see your confidence level going up instantly. But do not forget sometimes they are right too.

The change of weather During the change of weather you are likely to suffer or face the symptoms of the condition which will make you cough, shortness of breath, or the anxiety that can accompany asthma attacks. And the worst part is you do not understand the reason of your problems or cannot differentiate in between common enough condition, symptoms of asthma or other similar lung condition which is known as bronchial asthma which is even more complicated. However, one should not get confused in differentiating in between bronchitis and asthma which in most cases creates misunderstanding due to improper language use. Here is an example "bronchial asthma" is a superfluous term since the bronchi are never missing in asthma. According to medical experts bronchitis is an inflammation of the large airways caused by number of different things but in most cases begin with common infections and asthma is a long-term chronic condition. If a person is diagnosed with the symptoms of bronchitis the best he can do is avoid smoking get a shot of flu as prescribed by his doctor. Whatever the reasons, the cases of asthma, bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) generally increase in the months of October through February every year and the problems are not limited to elderly persons but even the children suffer from these diseases. As per the experts some of the reasons are related to changing lifestyle, tension, sudden change in weather, pollution and obesity. There are more reasons to these problems apart from the personal reasons which include burning of agricultural waste on mass scale be the farmers and the dust storms which are becoming a regular feature in this part of the world recently. Change in weather brings change in the quality of air present in the atmosphere which might increase dust particles as well increase humidity also. If we try to explain the matter in more precise language the dust particles cross the Ambient (outdoor air pollution) PM 2.5 limits, (Fine particulate matter) then begin the respiratory system related problems.  I wonder how many of us care to give the dust particle related stats while looking at the weather and air pollution reports. In fact I always read the report thoroughly on internet which is available freely. Dust, Mist and diseases Have you noticed the mist in the atmosphere is increasing every year especially in North India which disrupts the life due to lack of visibility. In most winters the visibility reduces down. The actual cause of dust particles remaining down is due to moisture in atmosphere which does not allow dust particles to go up in the air and these dust particles trigger most of the respiratory problems. These dust particles block your respiratory system and cause you to sneeze, cough and short of breath but not necessarily cause you to suffer from bronchitis or asthma. Asthma, bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease are directly related to our respiratory system which gets intensified with the changing weather and while on the subject it should come in your notice that asthma is an allergy which affects persons, including children due to these dust particles which block the respiratory system. Whereas the diseases like bronchitis and COPD come into the progressive diseases group related to lungs which increase as the time passes. However the outdoor air pollution is such an environmental problem affecting health of everyone more in developing countries as the developed countries are somewhat free of dusty atmospheric conditions. Asthmatic problems in changing weathers Asthma is an allergy that creates problems mostly when weather changes during October or November but the patients come to adjust the situation by the end of December when the winters fully set. But in case of bronchitis and COPD the patients always suffer from the symptoms especially in respiration and some other parts of the body. The patients suffering from all these diseases should remain very careful from the beginning of the cold weather taking all the possible precautions. In cases of asthmatic patients the chilly winds can pull the trigger and people in initial stages might find their problems intensified during this time of the year. In case of bronchitis patients the problem could intensify to the level of acute bronchitis. Dietary habits play an important role Patients suffering from such diseases consider the asteroids the only solution for all their problems but they should know that diet plays a major role in their treatment. Most of us are not aware that caffeine present in Coffee is a good bronchodilator that keeps the airbags open in your lungs. Use of Vitamin C can strengthen your lungs which is available in oranges therefore drinking orange juice can help the cause of such patients. Likewise use of dry fruits, flax seeds and fish provides enough quantity of omega-3 which is very much useful in respiration related problems especially keeping the lungs clean and strong. It’s better to stay away from processed food, caned juice, Maida (fine milled, refined and bleached wheat flour) but advised to use honey and green tea.  Here, I would like to discuss about – Bronchitis- which is very much a respiration related disease but somewhat different from asthma. Asthma is controllable to some extent but bronchitis increases at a rapid rate which means that bronchitis increase with the age. Bronchitis is mostly found in elderly people and smoking is one of the major causes of this dreaded disease.  Pulmonary Artery hypertension- PH or Pulmonary Artery hypertension is a situation where it is hard to differentiate between a PH and an asthma patient but the condition of PH patient is generally more intense compared to that of an asthmatic patient since the blood carrying arteries become hard and have to work harder to bring blood to the right side of the heart. The hardened arteries get narrowed down and hard making it difficult for flow of blood which cause the right side of the heart to swallow and hard of breathing, swallowed hands and legs and difficulty in performing daily routine works. The worst part of the illness is that there is no permanent treatment of Pulmonary Artery hypertension but a regular life style with lots of control. Asthma We all are aware that asthma is perhaps the common most respiratory disease which causes due to swallowed respiratory system that makes tough the breathing process. You will be surprised to read that the most sufferers from asthma are children but that is the fact that children in rural areas suffer from asthma due to living conditions. The main symptom of asthmatic patients is whistle like sound during taking or releasing the breath which is a symptom of asthma related allergy. Patients suffering from asthma feel irritation by a particular smell, hair of animals, feathers of birds and problem from smoke. Most of the asthmatic patients in India come from the rural areas and the main reason for the sickness is their smoking habits. The smoke coming out of various other sources including firewood, animal waste which is also used as cooking medium and burning the agricultural waste for keeping themselves warm adds to asthma related problems. Some patients might get the disease from their ancestors but the fact that this is one of those diseases which has no permanent solution but keeping it under control by living a healthy lifestyle.   COPD Chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases is another reason for breathlessness and when discussed on this topic we must know it that breathlessness may look similar in different diseases but the cause differ in every case. COPD is considered far more serious while compared to other related problems which are mainly related with our lungs. To make things straight let’s compare our lungs with a balloon which cannot be filled with air if it contains a hole, the same is the case of patients suffering from COPD who suffer from the damaged or punctured lungs and the result is they do not intake the oxygen or exhilarate carbon dioxide in proper ay and suffer. COPD is the cause of old TB, long time smoking habit and poor health due to insufficient food.  Patients of COPD suffer in all weathers unlike the asthma patients.  We must remember that genetics play their part in COPD as family history of the disease can increases the risk up to some extent especially that in a smoker but in a very small number say about 2 to 3% and not more than that. Coughing is not considered dangerous in case of COPD but if the patients have a cough that has been persisting on despite the treatment for more than weeks or the patient has coughing problem without a known reason like cold that calls for a meeting with your doctor without further delay .   ABPA ABPA or Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, which is the most recent inclusion in the group of diseases related to respiratory or lungs problems. ABPA troubles people living in seaside or where the weather is comparatively humid. Acute bronchopulmonary dysplasia also makes people suffer from sharp pulling in of the chest especially below and between their ribs with each breath. How to help yourself There are different methods adapted by different specialist in different cases of treatment in all the diseases mentioned above but the patients can also help their cause by keeping certain precautions. We should understand that most outdoor source of air pollution are not in our control or can be brought under according to control as some of the reasons also certain sectors including transport, energy and waste management etc cannot be neglected being a developing nation like us, so keeping all this in our mind we should take the precautionary measures accordingly- A- Of the easiest ways of staying safe is to check going to different atmosphere suddenly which simply means you should avoid going from very cold temperature to hot in a haste which will increase your problem immediately. Stay away from the acute cold weather conditions in the early morning and late nights and that includes your morning walks.  B-  Stay away from dusty atmosphere and that includes avoiding carpets in your bedroom. You should keep as little furniture in your bedroom and living room as possible that will help you stay safe from dusty particles  C- Use mask if you must because pollution outside especially in metros is too dangerous for patients suffering from dust related problems D- The common belief that flu or influenza were the diseases of the cold countries so we the Indians never took them seriously but that was not true and as the deaths due to these diseases took their toll and the related diseases like flu and swine flu, dengue viruses started to spread which decrease the resistance power of the patients the necessity for protection is increased and now doctors are suggesting people to take the protective injection to stay safe Therapy  If a patient finds difficulty in breathing properly, doctors advise him to go for outer help in form of respiratory add through oxygen cylinder or concentrator which helps recover the patient from lack of oxygen in his system. There is myth about outer support of oxygen that if a patient is supported by such methods he gets used to these facilities but the fact is this outer support helps him stay alive or even save him from heart failure. Once the patient comes to normalcy his dependency on outer oxygen supply reduces accordingly. Pulse Oximeter As per the medical terms a pulse oximeter is a digital medical device that helps in monitoring the oxygen saturation of a patient's blood indirectly at your home without the help of a doctor or pathologist. It’s a small unit the size of a matchbox that can also measure your heart beats. As per the standard a healthy human body’s saturation point is in between 96-99 and if it goes below 70 during critical condition in breathing that could prove fatal. The pulse oximeter comes in handy in such a situation which helps one keep a watch on his saturation.

Importance of moisturizing You should have no doubts if I say that healthy hair is not all about greasing them with oils but what you need is a healthy diet. There should be no doubt about another fact that your body has almost 80% of water so you every body part needs water to run it smoothly including hair which is nothing but dead protein. However the fact remains that winters reduce moisture from the hair and that become the cause of damage to hair when they come in contact with air. In fact, your hair needs special care in winters.  Yes, for a healthy and natural hair, you need water otherwise humidity will harm your hair. Hot Oil Massage Winters make your hair dry so you need a hot oil massage by an ayurvedic oil because most ayurvedic oils are made of ingredients which keep your skull warm which saves you from cold. You can try either mustered or coconut oil for the purpose. As suggested earlier it’s better to use lukewarm oil which gives the best result. Actually massage generates a cover for your hair which protects from winds and humidity and keeps your hair shining. Some experts suggest mixture of olive and mustered for the purpose. Shampoo keeps your hair clean Shampooing your hair is good for your skull and hair both as it keeps them clean. You should choose your shampoo carefully according to your hair which will remove the extra oil from your hair besides saving your hair from dandruff. It’s better to use mild or baby shampoo during winters which helps keep texture of your hair in good condition. Therefore using right shampoo according to structure and texture of your hair is the best way of keeping your hair healthy.  Conditioning and steaming You must take special care of your hair by conditioning and giving them steaming treatment in winters. It helps create a protective layer and saves them from dryness and being split ended. Whatever the way you must keep your hair well moisturized if your hair looks dry and brittle. You must use wet towel therapy after applying conditioner to your hair such vaporizing method makes your hair feel and look silky but make sure you do not go through the vaporizing process for longer duration as this could cause you harm if the towel is not properly warm.  You can use hair serum in place of steam towel during extreme cold weather which is as effective and provides a protective layer besides giving a shine to your hair. Hair serum which is made of silicon based content, is a live on conditioner which provides a coating to the hair at the same time. Hair serums protect your hair from ultraviolet rays and keep your hair smooth and healthy.   Use of hair packs Hair packs are another good method for keeping your hair shiny and protected from the weather. You can mix an egg with olive oil, coconut oil, glycerin, honey and vinegar and use the mixture in your hair. Keep the mixture in your hair for two hours and then wash your hair with lukewarm water. You can use another hair pack using banana, fresh juice of elovera, lemon juice and honey, keeping the mixture in your hair for 45 minutes and then wash your hair with lukewarm water.  You should not keep the mixture for more than required period which can harm you due to cold weather conditions. Natural Hair Care 1. The use of Amla, Reetha and Shikakai (Indian Gooseberry, soap nut and hair fruit) is common in Indian households for centuries and perhaps the better alternative of shampoos. You might find the use and the experience bit different from what you get while using a shampoo but the results are absolutely astonishing. The process of using is simple as the three ingredients are soaked in water overnight and used during hair wash in the morning.  This combination works beyond expectation of most users so they stick to it in some cases it stops even the hair fall. 2. Use of powdered fenugreek mixed with curd makes your hair shining and black  3. Use of lemon juice mixed with water after a shampoo is great way of protecting hair from sun rays and keep them shining. 4. Use of olive oil keeps your hair shining and protected from cold weather 5. Use of honey in your hair keeps them shining and well protected from ultraviolet rays 6. Use of oil twice a week and henna mixed with egg and fuller’s earth gives your hair a new life during winters Conclusion The general belief that your hair needs no extra care during changing weather has no base and can cause hair fall and graying of hair. You should take a proper care of your hair during every changing season and more so during winters.

The Timely Diagnosis is Important There are many diseases in our system which we do not even know that we are already suffering from them because they show their symptoms in due course. The symptoms of some of the diseases and their typical initial onset on our system take their own course of time. But have you ever thought what would happen to you or someone you might know suffering from some of these diseases but did not know or missed the crucial time period in which those could be diagnosed or even treated? Doctors suggest having a regular check up according to your age group when you are more prone to some of those diseases. A person is more likely or liable to suffer from heart related problem during his forties than he is in twenties that is not a fixed rule though. To avoid heart related problems one must have Cholesterol screening test regularly starting from the age of 20 and then repeat the test every 5 years but if you find a irregularity with your test report it’s better to go for the repeat test every 6 months or as advised by your doctor. One should also go for regular check up if he has a history in his family since heredity plays a major role in such diseases.  What is Cholesterol Test? There are two type of cholesterol the HDL, (High Density Lipoproteins and LDL, (Low density Lipoproteins) which are molecules made of proteins and fat. The Cholesterol screen test gives you a report about both LDL and HDL. The increased HDL speaks well about your heart’s health while the increased LDL puts you at a danger of prospective heart patient. But these are not the only tests you should go through to know your hearts health.  Go For Blood Pressure Measurement Test for Blood Pressure is simple checkup for primary and secondary tests carried out within minutes which affects most of us due to dietary habits and other tension related problems so it is not a sure sign of heart related problems. The children these days also suffer from high or low blood pressure due to lack of exercises bad food habits, bad life style and tension at school or home. Doctors suggest going for blood pressure checkup starting from the age of 15 and go for it at least once every year in case the results are normal but if you see any irregularity in your BP result you must go for BP test as many times your doctor suggests. Electrocardiography Test There is another method of checking your heart called electrocardiogram (ECG) which is a test that finds out your heart related problems with the help of an electronic device testing your heart’s electrical activities. An ECG measurement records heart's activity in form of graph on a paper. The ECG machine records every activity including every spike and dip in the tracings process during the entire duration you remain connected to device through plugs.  The subject is technical but you should know the basics of the ECG which in short is your heart which is also known as muscular pump having four chambers two upper known as Atria and two lower chambers known as ventricles.  The ECG checkup is suggested if the doctors find out other heart related problems in a patient including high blood pressure, high cholesterol and a person suffering from these symptoms is a smoker or suffering from diabetes, having a history of disease in heredity.  Ultrasound Test We know that the sound is made up of several different frequency waves some of them are of very high frequency and some are low. The frequency with very high range is not even audible to human ear and known as ultrasound. Ultra sound is mainly used for testing issues with soft tissues but some doctors use it in initial tests for the study and treatment of heart disorders (cardiology). Doppler Electrocardiography  Echo Cardiogram also called Echo Doppler ultrasound provides your doctor the complete information about your heart including its size and shape and the conditions of your heart's chambers and valves along with their working conditions and capability. The Echo test also let the doctor learn about the way your blood flows is working with the help of multiple images of chambers and valves of the heart. Precautions Now that you have gone through all the tests, well almost and if you're found having any of the symptoms which might put you in the category of heart disease or with risk of congestive heart failure, it's time to keep a closer watch at the changes in your body on a more regular basis. Keep a close watch on symptoms which relate directly or indirectly with heart diseases. These symptoms may vary from person to person but some of them are common which include dizziness, short of breath, feeling of fainting, and irregular heartbeats.  I don't know how many of heart patients are aware about the fact that there is no perfect cure for heart related problems which is a cruel fact but one has to live with it for rest of his life. However, hearing or reading that that should not discourage you as you can do a lot to live a healthier life than what you have been living taking certain precautionary measures. 1- Smoking is one of the biggest No- NO for persons having a heart related risk or suffering from heart disease. Giving up smoking can reduce the risk of a heart attack to a great extent. Some top heart specialists even claim reducing chance of a heart attack to almost nil if a person gives up smoking. 2- Whatever engages your body in a healthy movement is considered a heart friendly activity whether it's your routing morning walk, light jogging or dance classes (please confirm with your doctor before going in for a rigorous workout). 3- Did you notice people laughing out loud in groups, yes, laughter helps relieve some of the stress which cause the damages to your heart and brain. Laughing is one of the best therapies which keep your heart and brain healthy and fit. 4- We, the Indians are the masters of yoga and practicing yoga makes you healthy and also keeps us fit and relaxed, because yoga is one of the best ways of fighting with stress. Yoga is also helpful in keeping you positive which is good for a healthy heart. 5- I know this one is hard in practical life especially for professionals but the fact that sitting for long periods is a sure way of harm you physically as well bad for your heart so it's better to find ways to take as many brakes as you possibly can and walk for a while. 6- Keep a constant watch on your cholesterol, triglycerides, blood pressure, blood sugar, which is absolutely must for good heart health. You should know the importance of these vital tests and take them at a regular interval. 7- No one can deny the importance of intake of fat which can reduce risk by more than 50% in some cases provided your calorie count remains in prescribed limit. You must know what you eat has a calorie level that will suit your heart's health. 8- I feel this one is not important to repeat as we have read it time and again that your first meal of the day is important. You should not skip it even if you skip your lunch. After all this is what you eat after the gap of 10-12 hours so you deserve a healthy breakfast consisting of fruits, protein, fat and vegetable and milk etc. 9- We the Indians are not much aware about the benefit green tea but drinking green (or black) tea can improve arterial health. 10- Anger is no good for your mental health and what is bad for your mental health is bad for your heart so whenever you feel really angry go for a walk for few minutes and you will find yourself extremely relaxed.

suni51 created new article Diabetes is a silent killer.
Diabetes makes life difficult Diabetes is considered a complicated disease which becomes the cause of many other problems and prevents living a normal life to its patients. The diabetes becomes more complicated during winters which can even cause a heart attack. If you have been diagnosed for diabetes your doctor must have advised you the proper precautions you must take but in case you are not yet aware about your suffering from diabetes you should check if you have been going to the bathroom to pass urine more often recently? And if you have been going to toilet more than you do normally then you might have noticed that you must be drinking more water than you usually did. That is natural as you must make up for the lost liquid in your system.  In case you have been spending most of the day going to the urinal it’s a wake up call. The patients of diabetes have more than normal quantity of glucose in their blood they need to use toilet more often. Actually it’s the insulin level which becomes ineffective, or in some cases missing totally the kidneys of the patient fail to filter or circulate it back into the blood. The kidneys in normal course take water from blood for the purpose of diluting the glucose and if the quantity of glucose is more than normal the kidneys will need more water which will fill up the bladder hence the need of going to toilet more often. Diabetes is a complicated problem Diabetes is a disease which is hard to get rid and also becomes the cause of many more complications and the patients of this disease are increasing at rapid rate in the world more so in the third world and the worst part is even the children are suffering from diabetes. The diabetes brings many problems along with it and makes life complicated.  Let’s have a look of some of the symptoms  Apart from frequent urination and disproportionate thirst one can feel unusual weight loss or weight gain in some cases due to intense hunger. Cuts and bruises do not heal up properly or quickly, the patients feel irritation that could be loss of energy, vision gets blurred or hazy, the gums become red or swollen or even pull away from teeth. The patients suffer more from different dental problems. The male patients might suffer from sexual malfunction and a strange feeling of numbness occurs especially in your feet and hands which can even damage you nerves. Diabetes has mainly two types of patients although there are a number of different types of diabetes, but generally speaking the most common form of diabetes is type 2 diabetes often developed from pre-diabetes that is non-insulin dependent diabetes or mellitus which is a chronic condition that goes for the entire life and affects your body ability to use the energy from the food.. The type 1 diabetes is more common in children also known as Insulin dependent diabetes but some of these are more prevalent than others. Winters cause problems to Diabetic patients Winters cause problems to all people especially in northern India but people suffering from various diseases need to take extra precaution especially the diabetes patients since they lose some of their energy As the insulin in your blood is not working properly, or is not there at all, and your cells are not getting their energy, maybe body of diabetes patient gets weaker and has to make extra efforts for finding more energy. The muscle tissue and fat of diabetic patients break down more rapidly in process to get more energy. Therefore diabetic patients especially suffering from type-2 diabetes should be very cautious especially those suffering from heart related problems as the danger of heart attack increases by 50% or so in winters.  The diabetic patients should take extra care of their dietary habits and add green vegetables, fruits, and dry fruits to their diet which help them safe up to a great extent from the ill effects of diabetes. They can eat apples, papaya, oranges in a limited quantity besides eating lots of nuts, almonds, walnuts etc. The diabetic patients should eat at regular intervals in small quantities which keep control their insulin levels and body fit. There are certain other important points which will help keep diabetic patients healthy and the most important of them all is to remain active. The best way to remain active is light exercises prescribed by you physiotherapist of physician but if you are not able to follow your exercise cart the morning walk or walks at any time will help your cause. Please, keep in mind that early mornings could be too cold during winters so it’s better to go for a walk after the sun rise and if you prefer to walk in the evenings also it will be good to walk before sun set.  It’s better not to eat at least two hours before a walk as it could affect your heart adversely. It’s advised for elderly people not to go in for excessive exercises but keep their workouts according to their capacity.  There is another important point that drinking lukewarm water stops thickening of blood which helps prevent clotting of blood vessels. However, the patients of diabetes are advised to see their doctor regularly especially if they find some irregularities in their routine. The precautions may help you from some of the problems if you follow them carefully- A- There is no point in repeating that you can keep your diabetes under control if you follow the instruction of your doctor and take medicines regularly B- You may be suffering from minor symptoms of diabetes but it may harm your body in a big way C- The sugar level in blood can harm important organs of the body like kidneys, heart, eyes, artery, cells and legs besides weakening the bones D- Type-1 diabetes is curable through insulin treatment only, please keep in mind that Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that causes the insulin producing cells in the pancreas which destroys and prevent body from producing insulin in sufficient quantity. E- Type-2 diabetes is curable through oral medicines but doctors may advise insulin for a limited period. But you must not overlook any irregularities in your body and even if you are not sure you must see your doctor who may decide to test you for the exact reasons. Conclusion- As I said there are more reasons which cause increase of symptoms in winters and one of the main reasons is lack of intake of water, lack of physical activities which cause the increase of sugar level and arteries which are large blood vessels narrow down up to some extent during winter season causing the lack of resistance power of the body. The diabetic patients should take extra care during winters which may cause them flu and pneumonia. They can go for anti flu and pneumonia serum, keep a watch on their feet as they might feel numbness in their feet during winter, it’s better to keep their feet covered with socks and shoes. They should use moisturizer for keeping skin of their feet healthy as most diabetic patients get them infected easily.  Look at main symptoms once again- Loss of weight, going to toilet repeatedly, and feeling of tiredness, increased hunger, and infection in private parts blurred vision and numbness in feet.   Please note that I am not a doctor or medical expert so what I write is based on various information gathered from different sources or experiences

Introduction  There is no denying the fact that endeavour and fortune make our dreams fulfilled. Yet we need confidence to accomplish our long-cherished dreams. Therefore, the very proverb ‘they can, who think they can’ proves its appropriateness and truth when one have success in this way. Such a truth came in my life just a year ago. And it left a stress on my mind deeply. The incident of your life I was a student of class x then. I had to appear the final examination. Though I had prepared well for the examination I lacked confidence of mind to succeed in the examination. I lacked confidence of mind to succeed in the examination. I was very poor in English. Sometimes I feared that I might fail in that subject. Though I struggled hard I felt nervous. How you proceed  But I began to read English thoroughly. I stressed on grammatical problem. And I also began to think what my problems were. Finally I found out that I had to increase my confidence. I remembered the words of Napoleon who uttered that impossible is a word of cowards’ dictionary and also of Shakespeare who’s comment is that the coward dies several times before his actual death but the valiant never tastes death but once. Such comments influenced me greatly. I started to point out my weakness and wrote down them in exercise book and tried to wipe out them with perseverance.  Result  One day I suddenly found that I had an idea in my mind that nothing could beat me. But to get such an idea I had to strive continuously. Besides, my parents and teachers also helped me. They encouraged me again and again. Your feeling  At last I appeared in the examination. I did well in every subject. I attempted each and every question of all subjects. I could also do well in English. And I also estimated that I could earn at least sixty percent marks in English. Three months later the result was published. I saw that I passed the examination in first division. My number in English was seventy out of hundred marks. I felt so joy in my mind that it is simply unspeakable.  Conclusion  Therefore I bore the idea in the deep recess of my heart that everybody should have confidence in them so that they can achieve something. Otherwise it is impossible to have it.

suni51 created new article Are you prepared for a GD?.
Importance of Group Discussion Group Discussion is one of the methods or if we explain it in a simple way GD can be called to be a process of interview or evaluate candidates for their abilities to perform in groups. Group discussion is also used as one of the management tools to shortlist the prospective candidates for jobs by the corporate world. GD is generally conducted for various evaluations once the formal telephonic interview is over depending on the needs of a particular company.  These are some of the skills which can be tested by GD including leadership Skills, communication, Interpersonal, motivational Analytical /Logical Skills, team building, capability to take initiative, reasoning ability, flexibility, assertiveness, way of thinking, creativity and take instant decision. However, most candidates commit certain mistakes during discussion which candidates should avoid to better their prospects.  First and foremost The reason why you are being tested is to evaluate your skills so if you hesitate in speaking feeling you might commit mistakes while speaking is the first mistake you’re committing. The reasons of your hesitation maybe different or multiple but you must learn from them and speak or at least give your best which will encourage you and reduce your hesitation. Persons who learn from their mistakes and do not repeat them certainly achieve their goal.  GD is one of the most important tools for selection process in various sectors which I must admit is not an easy process for young people and some of them may falter in the process but that doesn’t mean that you should not speak or speak very little, therefore the way you interact in a group is an important aspect in your selection. You should know some of the important factors related to GD- The timing is important factor Every candidate gets a limited time to put his ideas forward so keep a close watch on your timing and do not wait for someone else to speak first but take the initiative. If you keep waiting for your turn or hesitating the chances are you will miss the bus besides if you speak at a later stage or in the end you might be repeating the ideas already expressed before you. The person that starts the discussion always gets a positive rating but if you still feel hesitant never miss the next chance. So, remember you should utilize your time which may vary from 5 to 10 minutes in best possible way. If you speak at first or second occasion your views will be fresh and not considered as others’ views.  The Language or the original views Now we come to a very important point of the whole process of group discussion the language. Most of us expect that in corporate selection processes a candidate comes prepared for speaking in English language but not necessarily unless the use of English language is compulsory one can speak in a language he feels comfortable with as the ideas are more important than the language. Some corporate make it clear which languages the candidates can speak during the group discussion. In fact, if a candidate can speak in multiple languages including the local language and English both is considered a better job prospect. GD is medium of expression of ideas where languages take the back seat.  Your self-confidence is important This is another important point which may determine the fate of your selection process, the self-confidence. If you feel that some of the other candidates are better looking, smart, taller, handsome etc you lost half the battle at that very point. GD is a test of expression and not a competition to select models so the smartness may count but not at this very point, here the competition is about your views and ideas. GD is all about the way you project your timing, the technique, confidence and clarity of ideas and not about how you look. Stay within allowed limits Let me make it clear at this point that a GD is all about expression of your own views so it will not be advisable to interrupt anyone during his/her time even if they are absolutely wrong in their view point. It’s for judges to decide as who was wrong or right but if you lose your own control on yourself and say something will only show you in poor light. So, let others finish their expression of views and keep your ideas about him to yourself. In short, if you are asked about his views you can always say you differ with him but this should be done in a mannered way.  If invited to speak to debate on his views you can put your views forward but in a way which does not cross the limit of decency. You are not supposed to talk directly against that person or speak in a way which will end you chances to qualify. In my views you can use the opportunity to put some lights on points not yet touched during the discussion so far. This will lift your image and enhance your chances of selection and the moderators will certainly note the point.  The worst thing you can do in a group discussion is keep repeating the views already expressed by other candidates. If the moderators find you are repeating what has already been said by others then you should think twice before doing so. Repetition is not taken lightly by the moderators of GD who may find you repeating the views already expressed so they might decide to disqualify you. and your efforts will not prove helpful.   Make every move carefully As I said in the beginning you shall be at an advantageous position if you speak in the beginning or start the discussion. But that does not mean that you should speak without relevancy just for the sake of speaking at an early stage. You will leave a very poor impression on the moderators in case you speak out of the contest so make sure you speak what is expected of you to speak according to occasion and to the point. Speaking too much or which has no reference to the given topic will reduce your chances. GD is all about expressing your best views within the limited time frame without showing any haste which will give other competitors no chance whatsoever to counter your points.    How to stay a step ahead There is no doubt about the fact that everyone comes well prepare to participate but if you should be focused on the important points which will give you an edge over others. The moderators keep an eye on the points which others might have missed or did not put properly or how you bring new points in the discussion which provide you extra points. The way you speak and counter others in a decent manner show your calmness and logical power.  You must keep a close watch on others and speak something new in a manner which does not sound repetitive but show you in a different light. Finally keep a watch on current affairs while going to attend a GD as most GD are based on current topics especially the incidents during the last ten days. There is one more point which will keep you positive during the GD is your confidence. You have nothing to lose even if you do not succeed in getting the appointment after all you will be getting lot of experience which will help you in your next attempt. fter all a GD is all about evaluation done by experts based on your expression.
