More links on JNU issue. The accused had to be brought to court disguised as a police person with bullet proof jacket and helmet. More news are coming of fabricating evidence.

I agree that population control should be done consistently regardless of religion, only then can it be effective... Christian families too tended to be very large although , now they are aware of the practical difficulties of having too many children and have consciously been bringing down the size of their families which is a good size...The educated muslims too have realised the advantage small family gives them but it is a different matter in villages and in uneducated families

Yes, Usha it is Swetha Shenoy, it was my birthday yesterday so she remembered and sent it in advance.
This indicates deep emotional attachment among Boddunan users. Sweta Shenoy was once very active member. It gives me pleasure to note her gesture of sending gift to Kalyani, our esteemed senior member.

This is a forum where members discuss things openly, not a secret organisation ...When you make a mistake you should have the grace to accept rather than deny and say you have never done it, however, I appreciate Babu for having admitted and also being a new member it is understandable that he may not have known what constitutes to spam here !

yeah yesterday only i came to know that liking each and every post is consider as spam and as the moderators said me, i stopped doing that and i have concentrated more writing rather than just liking the comments.
my suggestion to the editors and moderators is that if they think that a particular member is misusing or doing something wrong then they should convey it to that member first by sending him/her e-mails. and if then also he/she is continuing to do that then the editors and moderators should comment on any others post.

Jincy, clicking on Like button if you really like a post or that post is really something that should be applauded., there is no harm in clicking Like. But here, the issue was raised because the member was clicking like on each and every post in each and every thread. Do you digest the fact that each and every post here must be likeable?

Indeed a good sign but still the efforts to control population must be made more vigorous especially among people who are economically backward and Muslim communities where they still consider that birth control measures mean going against the will of god and give birth to more children than they can afford to feed, educate and clothe properly.,

Kalyani Nandurkar said thank you to Gulshan Kumar Ajmani for his/her reply to the topic Dowry and alimony.
Dowry is the amount paid for fixing marriage. This is unlawful and immoral. alimony is not paid for fixing marriage. This is paid as compensation for breaking marriage. No comparison.

If demanding dowry is a crime then demanding alimony is womens rights how it is possible???? If dowry is a crime then alimony also must be a crime
There is absolutely no right to alimony since even a deserving totally dependent wife who has no career and money of her own, worked like a slave for the welfare and upkeep of her family, has to fight it out at the family court which is most of the time prejudiced against the women of our country and our Indian men never complain but lord it up when the wife works free of cost giving her all to the family but question her right for maintenance when things go wrong and the poor woman is literally on the street ..

So true Shampa, once upon a time there used to be many pen friendships but now virtual friendships has taken its place. Forms change but relationships remain the same sort and can grow into long and deep friendships, provided all concerned parties are honest and willing to take it further.

@rambabu thanks for understanding my point, when someone likes my posts (which in most cases are nothing much) I feel like giving him a dislike in return unless I have done some thing really good and deserve that LIKE. If someone is clicking at like button constantly sending mails to my main mail box that diverts my attention.
