rambabu said thank you to Swetha Shenoy for his/her reply to the topic A lovely gift from a sweet friend.....
My dear KalyaniI am pleasantly surprised you would start a forum thread to thank me for the gift; but in reality, it should be me who would thank you for being such a lovely friend. I am glad you liked the gift! My dear Boddunan family,Thank you very much for your lovely comments and praises for my small gesture. In fact I would like to share how I met Kalyani. I joined boddunan.com in July 2009 with the aim of earning few bucks; but never could i have ever thought I would earn few friends. I donot maintain many friends virtually, but a select few I keep and one among them is Kalyani. I met her through Atul Barapatre somewhere around December 2009 and what clicked among us was the love for the Language English! I would share antidotes with kalyani and we would be giggling our way out online! This year marks 7 years of Knowing her and since it is a leap year, I wanted to do something memorable. As a co-incidence, Kalyani sent me some details of art along with her postal address which then I thought would surprise her and thanks to online portal paytm.com; i could be able to send a small gift to her for her birthday!!! I wanted to send something very worthy like a diamond set, but I could manage to send something under my budget!!! (Sorry for the disappointment Kalyani!!!) Even though I have not met Kalyani, she has been with me through thick and thin and her words of encouragement to me has always been like sweet water on a parched land. Thanks Kalyani for being a wonderful woman! I wanted you all to know, I tried to be friends with Gulshan ji (the simplistic taxman I would call him) and also Chinmoy ji (the charming poet) and Ram Babu gaaru (The artist). Chinmoyji has been cheering me every time I am down and Ram Babu gaaru would greet me now and then on boddunan. I have also to thank Sandhya Rani from kerala, who would have fun trying to analyze if Chinmoy ji was married or not (remember the old threads) and Sandhya would team up with Kalyani to help me lose my weight by gifting me an electric mosquito bat (where is it by the way??!!) I know I am getting way too emotional, but due to my time constraints I am not able to spend much time with my boddunan family. If i am not present in Boddunan, boddunan is not taken away from me!!!(This is my line which I had shared with Atul). I still remember the first boddunan get together and second boddunan get together where I was prevailed to Meet Maverick!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thank you all , once again for the lovely words! P.S- I can still be friends with those who donot know me....

People who champion Madrasa and personal laws for Muslims  do this without batting an eyelid. These so called intellectuls don't want to look at Turkey where in 1924 all Muslim schools were banned as well as tradiational Muslim dress. The Turks even adopted western dress  like skirt. I went once to Istanbul and could not distinguish it from a Western city. Even in Goa there is ONE civil code. Why cant it be done in rest of India ? To say that people who ask for a uniform code and one law are fascists and dividing the nation  makes me sorry for them. Targetting BJP and RSS is their favorite passtime

Here is an interesting article to read, especially for the 'seculars' and leftists who so loudly advocate secularism and deny Hindu faith. But read it in fairness and to the end.   https://themuslimissue.wordpress.com/2015/08/31/islamic-invasion-of-india-the-greatest-genocide-in-history/

It is fallacious to say that India was occupied ever by Muslims or Christians. There was never any attack by 'Muslim' on 'Hindu'.  Muslims as such never attacked, In fact, the so called Muslim rulers fought even against each other. There were many dynasties like Ghulam, Suri, Tughlak, Khilji that ruled time to time. The 'Muslim' rulers had 'Hindu' ministers and vice versa.  Also the British, Dutch, French- all even fought against each other.  The entire history is war between kings and Kulaks. The religion of the ruler does not matter so much.  Just as Muslim rulers employed Hindu Ministers, the Hindus also employed Muslim.  Religion has nothing to do with rule.  Maharaja Ranjit Singh was a Sikh but he employed French (Christian) as military advisers.   There is one more thing to consider. The quality like compassion and cruelty are not related to religion. These are racial. The Pathans and Baluch are considered  cruel. Hence you may say Muslims are cruel. This is fallacy. The Arabs, Pathans and Baluchs have gther distinct traits and it matters little what their religion is.  a Punjabi Hindu has more in common with  Punjabi Muslim than what a Punjabi Muslim has with Baluch Muslim.  A Hindu Assamese has more in common with Muslim Assamese than what A Hindu Behari has with Hindu Assamese.  Unless you stop looking at everything from narrow religious angle, you will always have a distorted version of everything. Better think Indian and be true nationalist or patriot.

A vivid account of The Greatest Genocide in History. Muhummad Quasim Hindu Shah, the Muslim Historian was the first Historian to reveal to the world how the Hindus were slaughtered during Muslim invasion and occupation of India..  Let me use this opportunity to thank Kalyani for changing the trend of Discussion forums, which of late  have become controversial political issues, making monotonous and boring. Earlier we used to post a variety of interesting posts like Word scrambling, Movies, Humour etc. I request all the concerned to bring back the old practices and trends of this site

If poverty of your arguments makes you a loner why dub the majority as 'fascist'! What do you think friends? This is the first time I come across such horrible mindsets. The majority,if there is one at all, are being unfairly accused of running a sister outfit of RSS! This is the quality of tolerance of our erudite member! We get regular,at times grindingly boring, lectures and sermons on the virtue of pluralism from him.Physian, heal thyself!!

It is important to be balanced and brushing facts of history by stating that RSS and BJP are part of fascist forces makes me laugh so badly that I could die laughing on a bed of nails.

The platform of boddunan will remain and should remain one which reflects the broad spectrum of public opinion on all matters. If a member is obsessed with a particular topic and others happen to stand by him or her not much can be done unless the administration spells out its stand on putting restrictions on certain topics. For the time being fire on all cylinders with the ammo you have to outfire your opponents!! After all it is only a debate!! Cheers!! Sir, there is nothing fascism about our discussion. Some have said that Hindus are being described as fascists. This is not so. As long as you follow your own religion and let others also follow theirs, you respect independence of thoughts and expression irrespective of differences, there is no fascism.  But the tendency to force certain ideology (clearly the aggressive Hinduism) and brand all others as anti national is fascism. Despite fear of repetition, I say that as long as you respect the principle of unity in diversity, you are nationalist. But when you link nationalism to a particular religion and its practices and brand all others as anti nationalist, fascism is there.
