There is no Muslim leader who said that rule by Hindu is not acceptable. In fact, nobody in his senses would say so. India is governed by system of parliamentary system or adult franchise. In fact, the provocative suggestions like disenfranchising the minority community come from BJP leaders like Subramaniam Swamy. The notion of 'Hindu Rashtra' is of the R.S.S. No Muslim organization can talk of Islamic rule in India. So, it is clear who is fascist.

Sir, there is nothing fascism about our discussion. Some have said that Hindus are being described as fascists. This is not so. As long as you follow your own religion and let others also follow theirs, you respect independence of thoughts and expression irrespective of differences, there is no fascism.
But the tendency to force certain ideology (clearly the aggressive Hinduism) and brand all others as anti national is fascism. Despite fear of repetition, I say that as long as you respect the principle of unity in diversity, you are nationalist. But when you link nationalism to a particular religion and its practices and brand all others as anti nationalist, fascism is there.
Gulshanji after reading Chinmoy's needelessly harsh comments you must have felt like saying "et tu Brutus". Such is the power of divisive forces.

To say that people who ask for a uniform code and one law are fascists and dividing the nation makes me sorry for them. Targetting BJP and RSS is their favorite passtime.
I support same education for all under a common syllabus without any religion based education. Religious education if any could be a balanced one covering all religions and aiming at development as good future citizens. But you can't single out Madarasa. Then you have to abolish all religion based schools- Hindu, Muslim, Sikh etc, including saraswati schools of RSS.

Dowry is an initial investment to enable young couple to begin married life. This is like initial capital in a business enterprise. The system has become very undesirable because of greed.

The issue of intolerance was discussed in the event. It is obvious that every speaker would have in mind his political affiliations- likes and dislikes. In this context, we need see the participation by Anupam Kher and others. I just went through brilliant speech of Barkha Dutt. Her speech is indeed factual and more sincere.
On tolerance, I got a very good quote- We must be intolerant of intolerance.
