as from the above answers i can see that many including you people think that gandhiji's non-violent struggle has become outdated 'okay fine agreed that today any theory about non-violence will seem absurd to anyone but talking about that time it may be true that if gandhiji had used weapons we may have achieved freedom long ago but it may also happen that that freedom fight may had met the simliar fate like our fight against britishers in 1857,no one can tell what could have actually been happened if this was not done that was not done but on the other side we should also see that by not breaking a war he not only save the lives of our forefathers but also saved us ,and we would not have been here discussing the topic . so, now talking about the topic i would the theory has not become outdated for us ,but rather we are being outdated from the theory

Possibly Veer Savarkar was chastened by harshness of imprisonment and in his weak moments wrote the letter. even the strongest has some weak moment.  I agree with you, but to put him up as a icon is wrong. BJP was also demanding Bharat ratna for him.  i have read his life. he belived in a uncompromising Hindu nationalism and was opponent of Gandhi, but he never went( after his release from jail) against the Raj.So many Indian spent time in cellular jail but never compromised, which Savarkar did. He was the mentor of Godse.   @ M.G. Singh It's always essential to provide a proof by giving an appropriate web link so that the members can express their views in their own right. This is the reason why members provide Web links. Now I'm convinced. Because i found a proof. Here is the link. The other things related to Savarkar are opinions of respective members for which they are entitled. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Savarkar-had-begged-the-British-for-mercy/articleshow/8792427.cms

I think we shouldn't support team just because the team is from our country we should support that team who plays good and do hardwork to win, even if the team losses we shouldn't stop supporting them

Its the same all over India.  I agree on you but it is women fault that she don't want to face the bitterness of this world by leaving her husband house.  Why do you blame a woman? Blame the system which did not allow women to be educated, blame the use of physical strength upon women and blame the practice of making the daughters think that marriage is the only important thing in life and once married then one has to tolerate every kind of pain inflicted upon her in the matrimonial home. The women who have the guts they do protest but still, the percentage is very low. This can be changed only when the parents and the society change their mentality about daughters and the females as a whole. That's what i am trying to say, that if woman stand by herself then there will be no one who will do anything wrong with them

Mallya was tipped off by a  BJP leader. If BJP is strong then they  must arrest the parties to the loans, the Bank heads. Tipped of by  BJP ? But BJP says, Mallya is a Congress Baby. http://www.ndtv.com/india-news/vijay-mallya-is-congress-baby-upa-forced-bank-to-give-him-loans-bjp-1287061 Both congress and BJP claiming  that Mallya is your baby, and baby is enjoying this it. Politicians and burocrates both are involve in Mallya escape. Here in Rajasthan Indra Bishnoi, witness of Bhanwari Devi mured case is escape more than three years but government could not trace her or don't want to trace.  Both BJP and Congress need to be thrown in Arabian Sea. We need a clean and fresh party and leader. Maybe a revolution like the French revolution. I'm very firm in my opinion. I can emphatically say, there is no need for revolution. If at all anything can be done to the Nation, it's BJP. Of course Congress has been thrown already in Arabian Sea. Only thing is BJP should be given time. In Hindi there is a proverb, ek hi thaili ke chatte-batte' and to be very honest this proverb can be used for the political parties. So, we must not expect much because every political party safeguard the wealthy people and common people are basically considered as no one. If this party does something great in this case then people can trust them. So, it's better to wait and watch.

Being an Indian I strongly stand by my country and hope for the best. Yes, the first match went wrong but with utmost dedication our cricketers can turn the contest in their favour. All the Best to India!

True..in fact khadi is more suited to our country's hot climate than expensive woolen suits which are only required in northern parts only for a 3 or 4 montyhs, but khadi is more appropriate to be worn all year around. Khadi is not just cotton but it is made of silk as well as woollen yarn. In fact it's very comfortable to wear throughout the year. One can choose from khadi cotton, silk or woollen according to one's requirement.
