The discussion is about forthcoming assembly elections. BJP may get some success only in Assam. Elsewhere- West Bengal, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Pudducherry- success may be either nil or negligible. This is the position in short. whether you like or not, this is the plain fact. But BJP has largest stake as majority in Rajya Sabha can be ensured only by winning in states.
There is nothing else to discuss.

Usha Madam, you are one hundred percent correct. I think our great Finance Minister represents a party that is basically communal. Right from the issue of eating beef to talking wrong about everything that Islam represents, without even bothering about consequences, is absolute trash.
Mr Jaitley is no different. It is high time that the Congress party and others take to the streets and mobilize public opinion. The Congress may be corrupt, but at least talking about minorities and disturbing the social fabric, in any way, will not happen.
Freedom of speech and Nationalism can indeed co-exist. If we do not allow people to express themselves and put them in jail, we also need to jail hundreds from the RSS and the BJP, who are so brazenly communal.

There is one simple rule. Never break law for personal benefit. Better suffer inconvenience than break law. No other way.

In spite of every technology improvement resulting in less corruption, it is we, the people, who often go against accepted norms of behavior and encourage corruption. Let us say, our ticket is waitlisted, and even the RAC status is not ours. So, we have just two choices -- cancel the ticket, loose some money, and take a bus, if that is available, or switch buses, as many do, in Tamil Nadu, when they need to go on urgent trips. Many feel the hard bus journey is better than the travel in unreserved compartments, which is the second alternative.
If we choose either of the two painful alternatives, we have done our bit, as corruption is minimized. If however, we run after the TTE and try to bribe him, we loose the moral authority to talk about corruption.
This is just one example. Let us now discuss ways in which we can bring about social change by taking part in it, the right way. The modus operandi should enable others to follow us and do their bit as well.

In a hard hitting speech Arun Jaitley, our Finance minister and a renowned lawyer has touched upon the subject of Nationalism and is if the opinion that being patriotic does not curb ones freedom of expression as it is being made to look by some vested interests .

Yes, time will definitely change the thinking of people. Metros are always different from other cities and small cities will take its own sweet time to accept the changes in dressing style. It is not possible to accept the changes all of a sudden.

Madam, please note the city is not Chennai, which is now becoming very modern. No one bothers there. However, what happened at Coimbatore and in Chitoor, in AP, is what I saw, by way of personal experience. May be, times will slowly change here too, with the passage of time.

I am sure the PM, FM and his team of financial experts are not fools to come up with a supposedly unpopular proposal which has given enough opposition to the opposition, if there was no good coming out if it and is beneficial in the long run. For a population that had been happily living on files and perks, some hard hitting measures become difficult to come to terms with. I guess a free this snd s free that would ptobsbly hsve made you and others very happy..
