I agree. Don't you think, for a new Govt, it is important to stabilize the Govt first ?. If Modi starts ruling the country by Sword, from the day One, I'm afraid, it may prove counter productive.Modi has to see the Nation as a whole unit and identify what are the things to be given top priority and what are the things that can wait. Taking all these things in to consideration one should judge Modi's Governance before jumping to conclusions.

I think this may be my last comment on this thread. Many people are talking that nothing can be done until there is a consensus. If we go by this nothing will ever be done. Sometimes one has to wield the knife. I have studied in great detail the action of Kemel Moustapha in Turkey. Everybody knows the massive ill will against him from the Ulema and die-hard Muslims to his revolutionary proposal, like abolishing Sharia etc. yet he did it with the sword and gun.
Our ancient rulers like Chandragupta and even Ashoka ruled with the sword. The moment Ashok gave up the sword his empire collapsed after his death. The Mughals also enforced the law with sword and so did the English when they eradicated Thuggery and sati.Nothing can be done by just sitting on the fence. We need a leader who leads the nation and not a group or clan. Thus, the leader who has to come has to abolish caste, private civil code and integrate Kashmir. It's not difficult, but I am afraid Modi is not that man. My latest post on "Has Modi missed the date with history" should be out soon on Boddunan. Thanks and good wishes to all.

Courts are closed twice a year during summer and again during October/November and there are innumerable study tors for the judges which further delays the proceedings and of course transfers . For a Judge to leave and another to come and take his or her place takes almost a month and in the mean time all the cases are kept pending..

It seems more like a health prediction since the result is based on our general health , I took a peek at the chart and it shows pretty much all causes that can cause my death which in itself shows that it is not all that reliable. And it is better not to know either the future or about your death, let it remain a mystery !

I normally charge my phone when it needs to be and not for more than an hour r two since I am constantly on the move and I never charge it at night nor o I keep it very close to where I sleep , at a safe distance but able to reach it in times of emergency !

The word Secular has been given different meanings by different political parties to suit their own ambitions/aspiration/greed for power etc etc...So, in the Indian context it actually means nothing much except a word that is used by those who do not know what secularism means ..

Our present stands on what the past was, we can see it in the continued battle for Kashmir which is a leftover from the past. It can neither be repaired nor erased but we have to put up with enormous amount of expenditure, so many unnecessary deaths and so on..There is a saying that old sins cast long shadows !

There are several issues involved since the interaction is only between the girl and the auto driver with no witnesses, it is not easy to come to a conclusion . The auto driver has a right t accept or not accept a passenger unless there is a rule that says that he cannot refuse any passengers . To prove that he has refused solely because she was fat would be very difficult to prove even in the police station. At best, the police may call the auto driver and warn him..

Muncipality refers to a smaller township and the funds allocated too are much lesser than for Corporations.Corporations are clusters of several small townships managed by several different organisations all coming under the development authorities of a particular state government.

The weather conditions appear to be stronger on hills, rain, sunshine and even strong winds tend to have a greater impact on the house, so normaly the houses have slanting roofs to withstand these adverse conditions ..
