There is no one yardstick and what was practiced earlier was a total failure going by the situation that has been created in Kashmir and the many communal riots and terrorist attacks that have taken place so far .. India under UPA had shown that it is soft on minorities and will overlook many of their misdeeds while bashing down anything that the majority community does...This will not be tolerated by the nation in the future. The leaders will have to use the same yardstick to everyone who shows anti national and terrorist tendencies which will definitely help in gaining the respect of the minorities too, since they have been manipulating the system wherever possible..

I guess the results have been discussed to a great extent by the media in their exit polls and they are as predicted with Jayalalitha winning for a second time in Tamilnadu , Mamata Banerjee's TMC winning with an even higher number seats. Left party winning in Kerala and BJP in Assam.. Some interesting facts here , Congress party has lost badly in all the states except in Puducheri where its alliance with DMK has won. Congress was against the left in Kerala and with the left party in WB which in itself shows opportunism of the worst kind and understandably it was rejected in both the states . For BJP which has made inroads in West Bengal and Kerala in a small way, it is still a marginal win having won Assam with absolute majority ..

"The current chief Arundhati Bhattacharya has earlier gone on record that the merger of associate banks is not a priority at the current juncture. " Published in  Business Today. This is the basis of my post.

Of course this is a fact since Muslims themselves would never leave India and go to Pakistan or Bangla Desh if they are given a choice because of the freedom they get here. Our politicians use them as tools to garner votes and tend to pamper them with ulterior motives.Interestingly Taslima also had this to say about the so called Secularists and Liberals ( probably a brand that exists only in India) who back Muslims even if they are fanatics ! typical double standards that we know all about.. http://blogs.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/the-interviews-blog/bangladesh-safer-than-syria-for-jihadis-indias-muslims-equal-bdesh-hindus-oppressed-indian-liberals-back-islamic-fanatics/

I am not sure from where you get your news feed , probably read some old news feed...But as I said earlier merger is very much on the cards with SBI and Arundati Bhattacharya leading the way, they hope to complete the merger before the end of this financial year if the Central government gives the go ahead http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/markets/expert-view/merger-will-be-completed-in-this-financial-year-arundhati-bhattacharya-sbi/articleshow/52319851.cms

India is a Democracy having Multi Party system. Hence the question of Dictatorship will not arise. Despite this fact, one of the so called National parties Congress failed miserably in keeping the Ruling party on toes. On the contrary, it is stalling the Parliamentary proceedings with baseless and flimsy reasons instead of contributing  with positive approach.

Terrorist activities are not treated in same manner in Pakistan and Bangladesh. The latter is still officially secular and makes efforts to catch and punish them . The moot question is do wevwant to treat all our citizens equallly or get colored by religious dogmas.

Kalyani Nandurkar said thank you to usha manohar for his/her reply to the topic Clear evidence of saffron agenda .
There is no need to thrust Hindutva in India which is after all a Hindu nation and Hinduism  is there around us and all over the place, like it or not... More and more reasons emerge to give up on this sham of communalism in the name of secularism that our country was forced to practice for so many years and let people decide what exactly they want ..

Merger talks are yet to be concluded.. Arundhati Bhattacharys made it clear that the idea of merger is just a proposal. Nothing more than that.

The second web link too confirms that the FB  post is a fake. No need to confirm that The fact is that Tina never availed Reservation.. And her being the topper of the UPSC is well justified.

The govt. would have considered all aspects while deciding merger of some banks. Some banks are too small and need be merged with some big bank.

Yes in one of the post it is clearly mentioned that she has not applied through reservation. The viral post on social media seems fake. http://ipious.blogspot.in/2016/05/tina-dabi-ias-profile-family-and.html
