Assam was not a surprise as far as BJP was concerned so it was not a change not expected even by the BJP. It was a foregone conclusion even before the elections and all the exit polls had predicted a win for BJP. It may be due to incumbency or people genuinely wanting a change in policies.  UP will be tough for BJP because the two local parties Samajwadi and BSP will fight with all their might to see that BJP does into come into power. As of now it is the third largest party in the state and even if they increase their vote share and number of seats in the coming elections it will definitely help them..

In a real time operating system well defined fixed constraints are mandatory. It means, processing must be done well within the defined constraints. Else, the system fails.

Facebook is just a social site and unless one is looking for or going out of the way to get into trouble nothing dangerous can happen there. I , my children and other members of the family have been using facebook for more than 9 years now and I hardly see any negatives except that in the case of children , they may spend too much time there neglecting their studies and other activities.. Yes there are far more dangerous sites than FB, but the greatest danger that a site FB poses to the kids is the ease of contact with antisocial elements in the guise of friends. We have all read several accounts of older people posing as young boys or girls, making friends with youngsters and then luring them to some spot with false promises, which has even resulted into rape in many instances. Even young boys have suffered sexual molestation from pedophiles and yet there is lack of awareness on parents' part.

I think everyone is motivated by self interest.  What matters is whether your activities are legal or illegal. Most of genuine activities are beneficial to us as well as others.  Our economy and social system works on the principle that every one is motivated by profit motive. If you earn through legitimate means, nobody can object.

MG Singh wrote: I think there is Jungle Raj in the entire country. Is any state immune to it ? Maharashtra, Haryana, etc  That is an overstatement, there is no jungle raj in the entire country, agreed there are increased crime rates everywhere but stating that it is jungle raj is not fair.

I remember the earlier CP , police Mumbai had stated " I agree that all Muslims are not terrorists, but 99.5% of the terrorists caught are Muslim" I agree. Majority opinion  is Muslims and Terrorism are connected. This belief is restricted, I think to the Northern India. I have seen, no enmity between Hindus and Muslims in my state AP. Here many Hindus take part in Muslim festivals and vice versa.

I wonder how this problem can be solved? The Congress betrayed India. I am afraid Sonowal may not be able to  do much, given the circumstances. if our destination is 100 step away and we walk one step, 99 remains. Sonowal have strong will to solve this problem, it is first step. True.  Sonawal has been unanimously elected as BJP legislature party leader in Assam. Yes, as you said, BJP in Assam had taken the first step with firm determination to solve the long standing problems plaguing Assam. Sonowal has the strong support of the BJP as well as the people of Assam, who voted for a change. Sonowal will definitely succeed. How will Sonowal succeed? will he identify nearly 25-30% of the migrants after 51-71 and send them back? Is it feasible/ Will Bangladesh accept millions back. Look at the human problem. Maybe he can stop infilteration, but that again is not in his hands as Bangladesh has a border with Meghalaya and many come from this route. It's a big problem that defies solution. A million Dollar question. the country has seen a change in Assam, that was not expected even by BJP. While I agree with you that the problem of Bangladesh immigrants looks right now daunting, with the arrival of Sonowal as the would be CM of Assam, as a first step has already took a decision to  seal the Border. I think it is too early to say if Sonowal succeeds or not. Let us wait and what Assam has in store in this regard.
