I agree with you. Strengthening Army is as important as Swatch Bharat. If Swatch Bharat keeps the country clean, A strengthened Army keeps the Country safe and secure. In the background of a hostile country in our neighbor and the rapid spread of ISIS, it is highly essential to strengthen the Army. Modi should not compromise with this issue.

What I write is with a heavy heart. I have read the letter the 3 service chiefs wrote to the Prime Minister voicing their dissatisfaction against curtailment of privileges by 7th pay commission and non-approval of OROP as defined by 2 parliaments and the Koshyari Commission. This letter is unprecedently in nature and voices the dissatisfaction of the forces with Modi.
Can one think of a similar letter by a Chief in US Army to US president? This is because Modi has no comprehension of military power. Things cannot be done in half measures. The army is the "LAST" line of defence and with the country beset by violence and insurgency from Kashmir to NE India , the army is the ONLY unifying force. I request readers to ponder over this.The army has to be kept high on morale and cannot be taught patriotism.The privileges downgraded from the time of Nehru must be restored. I am afraid this topic will have limited interest as many do not know the intricacy of the armed forces. All the same the idea is to light a candle in this field. There is an article I have just finished on the subject today and may appear soon.

I agree with you. After one year of Modi's Government, all of us, in these forums, agreed on one point, that He should be given more time. But time will not wait for us. It flies away without our knowledge. Now two years completed. Two years is quite a long time. Even at this juncture, Modi should brace himself to jump in to real action. I agree his other innovative welfare schemes were a resounding success. Now real and important jobs are remaining unfinished. Kashmir problem has to be tackled immediately, in order to prove himself that he is a man of action really.

Quality control is and was very lax in our country and has been so for decades. There have been so many scams with good grains , our politicians have not left even that alone. At least now things should be set right so that , use of harmful chemicals does not become a way of food production by the manufacturers out to get profit and don't really care how they do it.

The PDP is also sympathising with the terrorists and their children are given stipends I doles. Nothing for the martyred Jawans!! Terrorists have increased activity and army is hemmed in. Many are dying every day. Modi is sitting like Nehru twiddling his thumbs. His biggest crime is continuing with Nehruvian politics regarding the army, which should have been expanded to overawe Pakistan and face China. He has not done it and on the contrary has taken many negative steps. All these are coming up in my article. I am afraid Modi is missing his tryst with history. He should take a leaf out of the book of that great Muslim leader Kemal " Ataturk". Will he ?
I am sure he is getting all the feedback about the Kashmir situation. My own feeling is that do. That has been brewing for more than half a decade cannot be corrected in a matter if two years . It has to be done step by step, starting with the relocation of Kashmiri Bandits, which is being opposed by so many different Islamic organizations...their aim to have a 100 percent Muslim population and call for a plebiscite. We need to give Modi time to set things right instead of giving him deadlines.

I agree. In order to prove himself as the real Saviour of India who saved the country from the shackles of Congress misrule, should start to Act. His every action is being watched by the people who voted him to power.Modi , who said that he is a " Man of Action" should assure the people that he is really a man of action, at least now.It's not too late.
