@Usha Rajan is not as talented as Swami when it comes to exploiting misinformation and disinformation but what pains me that you lend credence to this conspiracy theory that Rajan an economist of global standing would be so low on self-esteem to be working in tandem with Chidambaram to wreck the Indian economy!!! Modi and his men have done nothing to protect his honor when Swami portrayed Rajan as a treacherous, unpatriotic saboteur!! You argue that Rajan leaves on his own then how come he talks about his ' unfinished job'?

I agree yoga should not be imposed on children. Instead school can create some extra curricular activity that includes yoga, so that it creates interest in children. Also in this way children will get educated about its benefits.. If someone is really interested will attend the class.

i personally feel its not good to spend unnecessary amount on such things. Who knows this restaurant always serves healthy food? I would prefer to hv homemade food in such things. In 400rs we can have nice meal at home for 3-4days..

I'm of the opinion,Health comes first. As you said, the Restaurant serves Healthy stuff,  I support the family members. If money is lost ,it can be earned. If Health is lost, every thing is lost.

This is probably one activity that will help the students reap health benefits in the long run...However, it is for 9th and 10th students that it is part of the curriculum whereas for others it is for twice or thrice a week ..However, traffic congestion is not an excuse because normally traffic increases after 7 or 8 AM, so starting early to school is actually beneficial to both the student and others who travel later , will see a reduced traffic because of this .. http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-others/compulsory-yoga-for-cbse-students-of-classes-xi-xii-government/

Not only Yoga, nothing should be imposed or forced. But, awareness on Yoga or its benefits should be spread be it for Private schools or Government Schools.

Around ten years ago, there was a big hue and cry about the standard of the Deemed Universities, particularly in Tamil Nadu.  However, it died a natural death, and the Universities are back to their old game of huge advertisements, and even unfair means of paying existing students to bring in new students, for their native State or neighboring States. The Deemed Universities should be able to show results in terms of real quality.  For example, through many innovations, the VIT University in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. has built a name for itself in the IT and computer science fields, and has been able to reach a superb position in placement.  This has been possible only because a huge amount of investment has been made by the Founder to reach out to the wider society, and also give every single opportunity to the students to express themselves.  Nothing can be imposed, but the public, through social media inputs should have free discussions on the actual state of affairs in every single Deemed University and spur them to action.  Unless results are shown, they would automatically loose their hold in the next few years.

Very recently I was witness to a sad fact of life in a upper middle class restaurant  in Chennai city.  This restaurant keeps on rising the prices of each single vegetarian item that is served and, though customers crib about the high cost, still flock to this restaurant as it enjoys a big brand and is known for being "safe" in terms of not causing any health problem to any customer, as the quality of raw materials is very good. A family of five were seated just next to my table, and I was the only one when the father expressed his idea that the wife and the three kids stop with whatever they had eaten and better walk out.  However, neither the wife or the children would listen to him, and insisted on ordering fresh fruit juices.  It is a known fact that such things are the costliest in this restaurant.  The father suggested that they could have it in another shop. The mother said no, and the children followed in a chorus.  Left with no choice, the father walked out, went to the nearest ATM, took out some money, and reluctantly agreed to pay for what his wife and children wanted.  Between the four of them, it would have costed at least another four hundred and fifty rupees.  The father tried his best to hide his emotions, but it was clear that he was not happy at all.  Conspicuous consumption of this kind is very dangerous and should be avoided.  Fresh juices of a fairly good quantity are available in the neighboring shop suggested by the father.  All family members should learn to live with less, or totally avoid putting the bread winner to such huge trouble.  Will it not be a good thing to have some self-discipline in this regard?

On the contrary the Schools or the board should impose rules where the kids practice yoga on a daily basis. This will not only spread awareness but it will be inculcate a healthy practice among the children along while enjoying its various benefits and learn yoga in a beneficial manner.

The so-called Yoga Day is being celebrated on Tuesday, and many CBSE schools have forced their children to be there in their respective schools at 7AM in the morning.  One can imagine that the Central Government is keen on Yoga.  But why should it imposed? If the child has to reach the school at 7AM, will the parents not be so anxious to pack off the children earlier than even 5AM in  a huge city like Chennai?  What will happen if there is some problem to even a single girl child?   Imposing Yoga is not a great idea.  It should be made optional, and the classes should start only at 8AM, and not 7AM, in the metros, as transportation is a huge problem.  Thousands of buses and vans fight for space in the metros, and the traffic jams are so huge indeed. The Government should create conditions for anything, including Yoga, to be enjoyed by school children.  Imposing it, will only invite criticism that the Central Government has a political agenda.

You are right Rambabu, everything is fine and there is no need to worry or change anything I have already resigned as an editor or moderator and from now on will continue without interfering with any site related matters.  I have lots of articles which I have not yet read so far. I guess it is my chance to read them. The thread is closed now.

Sunil said earlier that there would be some change from this Monday. But I'm of the opinion that there is no need for any change. One can see, the system is running perfectly.
