Came across this quote from Albert Einstein - "Try not to become a person of success, but rather try to become a person of value."
Charles Darwin - "It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change."
I guess success is not about making money or gaining power or perfection but also about survivial !
These are really nice quotes and very meaningful as well. I always believe success comes after failure. If I want to be successful I must see failures in my life.
Of course success becomes much more meaningful when it comes after failure... We have so many such example around us , celebrities and Industrialists even common people who taste success after failure and years of hard work. At the same time success comes with its own complications ..
Yes agree. The most important complication is the hard work and mental stress. However once you get out of failures this mental stress becomes happiness.

It is best to concentrate on what needs to be done to make the country secure and self sufficient in all fields, every other issue comes after that. We see all the developed countries concentrating on making their citizens happy and secure , until that goal is achieved in our country we can never hope to be called developed, will remain under developed forever !
Very true Ushaji.. We must learn from the developed countries. They would make sure their citizens are safe and happy. In USA, government tae care of every citizens through immigrants. They aways make sure their own people are happy.

You are right both are capable person but situation which India was facing at the time of Independence, Patel may be proved better than Nehru.
I too agree with that because Patel apparently had a single minded determination which would have helped India greatly during those formative years which sort of paved the way for future turn of events.

Thanks for sharing this article. It is universal truth that If patel was First PM of India than map of India will be another.
so you think that Patel was better than Nehru.
Can't say exactly. But Nehru was more popular. Again Patel lived very short. Whatever decision were taken, Nehru would be ultimately P.M. for good many years even if Patel were first P.M. It cannot be said that Patel would longer if he were first P.M.
Secondly, most of the article does not contain anything new. Most of the content is rumor based.
In retrospect one could say Patel did not live log so it does not matter ...however, even in a short period of time one could make a great impact and with his ideology there probably would have been a different India today with less communal disturbances which was the direst result of the shoddy manner in which certain issues were handled..

There is a saying there is no smoke without fire similarly , so called rumors have some truth on which the rumors are based. The manner in which the Nehru family has been cultivated through the years shows a single minded dedication towards making India a family ruled proposition which seemed to have succeeded to a large extent , probably due to the ignorance of the masses and clever manipulation of the concerned political leaders ..
There are elements who would make vicious propaganda continuously and make others that there must be some truth as there is no smoke without fire. This is just technique of the rumor makers. Undoubtedly there has been continuous propaganda by fascist and saffron elements to malign the secular forces. They have spread canards against Nehru and Indira Gandhi dubbing them as 'Muslim'. Such vicious propaganda is available on U Tube. One such piece of propaganda is that Moti Lal Nehru's parents were Muslim and Firoz Gandhi, Indira Gandhi's husband was a Muslim even though he was Parsi. There is not only false propaganda against Nehru but this has also communal and fascist angle. the
It's a Historic fact, that Patel, through Police Action, merged all the Princely States with India. There was both Smoke and Fire.
I read in one book that Nehru was not assured that Indian army can push back to Pakistan army in short period and with limited sources. But Patel was assured and order to army chief for action in Kashmir.
