Usha@ the reason is simple. The site really doesn't want any more articles hence this ploy. I have for example cut down on writing articles here.

I guess it is a natural process and once you reach a certain stage in life deterioration sets in faster. Probably by taking extra care you may be able to slow down the process to a certain extent. I have a neighbor who is in his early eighties and he is renovating his house adding first floor and every day he climbs up the roof on a rickety ladder since the stairs are yet to be constructed to observe the work, balancing himself on the walls in some places , his family is perpetually worried, but he seems quite confident.

First of all most of the members except a few regulars are not as active as is expected of them which is bound to affect the site. Some believe in starting discussions only without bothering to even leave a feedback when others respond and disappearing while the regular members are supposed to carry it forward . Admin on his part has been very generous in the past - giving out bonus in addition to cash credits for selected articles during monthly article writing competitions and also revenue share an many other benefits ! This very fact makes me think that there has to be a reason why the rates have come down..

Personally I dont believe in leading a life that ties me to, too many don'ts !!! I would rather do what I want, eat what I want, drink what I want and go where I want and be ready to face the consequences. If you live your life with too much discipline and forgoing too many things, you rob your life of all the enjoyments and fun things. I see so many people living up to 95 or longer having stayed in the same place for years and done the same thing for decades which to me seems pretty boring !

Personally I feel that every individual male or female should be financially independent. An educated lady would definitely feel that she is missing out on something if she is not earning. However, it is also important to see our priorities and then decide rather than do what everyone does or what others expect you to do. In my own case I had to give up working soon after being trained by SBI for 3 months, since I got married . Later, I could not work for nearly 8 years because of the children and at that time I felt that my priority was to look after the children. I also had to select a career that suited their needs, so I took up part time teaching , also later worked for a publishing house as a proof reader, was a trainer for sales personnel etc ..still work part time and am ok with it although feel bad when I meet my friends from college , some of who have had successful careers. I dont think there is anyone who is completely satisfied with their life, it is a compromise and it depends entirely depends on us as to how best we come to terms with our life !
You are right! Most of the people, in some or the other way, are not entirely happy in their lives. It is always good to accept the reality but the point is how one can forget their dreams to success. It remains as a weakness.
If you can be realistic it is not difficult to convert your dreams of success into reality. If one aims to climb Himalayas and works towards it, even climbing the foothills is better than remaining stagnant !

To make a site competitive, the users should be engaged in contests such as best article of the month, best discussion of the week and many more. This attract users to post some nice topics and site will attract more traffic.

Well written Shampa. A site should not have de-motivated writers

They are least bothered, there is a saying in Urdu/Punjabi and Hindi "Ham to dubenge sanam tum ko bhi le dubenge" it means what if I drown but I am happy that I accomplished my mission of sinking your boat"
I am sure there are many such people but they are neither happy nor successful because they breed negativity all round which is far from being successful ..

Of course any change depends on the admin, however, the pay scale for articles has definitely come down . There may be valid reasons for that to happen. I saw one article earning Rs 2, doesnt make sense really..

It's a sad state of affairs. I still feel paying R's 5 or 10 is not acceptable . Why not give zero? I hope site can rise above all this.
