rambabu replied to the topic Import of pules from African country may be cause of destruction .
The Government of India took the decision to import pulses from Mozambique, SA, keeping in view the the high prices of Pulses all over India. There was a big gap between demand and supply. This has been well utilized by the Black marketeers..Presently in almost all the states all the Pulses are sold for exorbitant rates.
The Government believes after the imports of the pulses, all the pulses will be within the reach of Common man.

A few days ago, I visited my friend.As it was the first time for me to visit him, I wrote a letter to receive me . But to my utter disappointment, I did not see him in the Station. Somehow, after reaching his home, I asked him why, he did not come to the Railway Station, though I wrote a letter.
My friend said that he did not receive any letter. Then I produced the letter from my pocket. Seeing the letter, my friend burst in to laughter. Then I realized my mistake.
I wrote the letter, but forgot to post. All the while I had posted the letter.

In my school I used to regularly come second rank in my class. In fifth or sixth standard when results were being announced I automatically stood up after first rank was declared. But it was someone else. I kept on standing up till the tenth rank which was my position that exam. Till date I remember the embarassment I felt everytime I got up.

Public exposure of investigations is okay. But continuous reporting of investigations that are not yet complete will be counter productive. There is need for secrecy and promptitude during process of investigations. Besides, there is need for secrecy and maintaining confidentiality in such cases.

The govt. establishments like Railways are already working 24 hours. Police department works 24 hours. There is no need for all govt. offices or even private sector offices to remain open all 24 hours. You can't increase performance just by adding working hours. Rather there will be more waste of electricity, water and other resources. Besides you will have to employ more staff so that they could be given leave by rotation so that the 24 hours system works.

What we need to do and urgently is two pronged :Systemic change and legal reforms. Until and unless these important changes are done, Ramkumars continue to exist and atrocities on women continue.

I remember a few years back there was an investor meet in a hotel. I got invitation on phone. I reached the venue but did not find any sign of investor meet. Then I asked the organizer, my close friend whether the meet had been cancelled. He quickly asked me to visit his residence- very close to the venue. After some chat, he told me that I had not noted the date and time properly. I had reached the venue a day earlier.
