Table Tennis was first played in 1800s in England. Table Tennis is governed by International Table Tennis Federation, which was founded in 1926. It is a major Olympic event since 1988.

The measurement of table is 274 cm × 152.5 cm × 76 cm high. The game requires utmost concentation and accuracy.

There are two main styles of  the Player's grip on racket (the way the player hold the racket), Penhold grip and shake hand grip.

Wang Liquin of China, is considered to be the most successful Table Tennis player. Achantha Sharath Kamal is India's famous table tennis player.
