We should be thankful to God that we are a part of this beautiful planet. It has provided us with all basic amenities that we require for a good living but are we taking a good care of our planet? The answer is a simply no. We have gifted our mother earth with over exploitation, pollution, deforestation. How ruthlessly we are destroying this calm planet in the name of development and progress. We are exploiting every natural resource without sustainability.
Various forms of pollution such as air, water, noise, land, radioactive etc. are a few to be named. They alter the physical and chemical composition of our surrounding by heavily imposing poisonous chemicals in the form of gas and liquid. We can understand the severity of this pollution hazards by analyzing the overgrowing figure of diseases and mortality. The number people suffering from pollution related diseases such as respiratory diseases, vision and hearing loss, different forms of cancer, skin diseases, mouth and peptic ulcers, birth defects are on rise. In this regard Bhopal gas tragedy is a burning example. We can perfectly evaluate the severity of the catastrophe by assessing the number of people still suffering from that deadly chemical leakage, even after decades of that fateful night. Even though accidents like that of Bhopal gas tragedy are not quite frequent but pollution caused by our daily activities is posing greater danger to our environment. All kinds of pollution can be wisely minimized by adopting safe and environment friendly options like reuse and renewal of different things, minimal usage of natural resources etc.
Why do we always forget that our life and livelihood depends upon the safety of this planet. So friends it’s high time when we should give this matter a serious thought. We should give our bit of effort towards making this earth a better place of living not just for ourselves but for the future generations
