SUPER STRING THEORY
The birth of String Theory
In late 1968, a young Italian scientist called Gabriele Veneziano was searching for set of equation that would explain the strong nuclear force, the extremely powerful glue that holds the nucleus of every atom together binding protons to neutrons.
He happened to find a book in the history of mathematics. It was the equation of 200 years old written by Swiss mathematician Euler.
Veneziano amazed to discover Euler's equation long thought to be nothing more than a mathematical curiosity seems to describe the strong nuclear force.
This was the birth of the string theory. later years it was then expanded and explained by young American scientist Susskind.
He found that, the equation is describing some form of particle with internal structure which can vibrate which can do things which is not just a point particle. And he began to realize that the equation is describing a string like rubber band or rubber band cut an half which stretch, contract and wiggle.
How Strings Vibrate?
if you are buying a car, its color, model, engine type, height, width, length, ground clearance etc. can be its parameters and Red, Toyota Corola, diesel, 1.5 meters, 4 meters, 10 meters, 3.1 meters etc. may be the values of those parameters respectively.
Now, similarly a "String" as they are popularly called is a band of energy which can have different values for as much as 16 parameters, 11 of which have been defined, and the combination of values can be almost indefinite as you may imagine. Now as the different values of the same parameters define a different car, similarly the combination of values of the different parameters define the energy band and thus a different "String". This difference in the parameters of the strings causes basic changes in different elements).
This is popularly called as a string vibrating in a different frequency, but actually it is not just frequency, it is a combination of different parameter-value pairs which define a String.
.A physicist in Paris showed how two particles, no matter what there distance can communicate with each other somehow, the two particles know where the other is involved and what it is doing. It doesn't matter whether they are 10 feet or 10 billion miles apart Since traveling faster than the speed of light is tantamount to breaking the time barrier, this daunting prospect has caused some physicists to try to come up with elaborate ways to explain away Aspect's findings. But it has inspired others to offer even more radical explanations.
