India is essentially an agricultural country. It is a land of villages inhabited mostly by farmers. The Indian farmers really and truly represents India. Undoubtedly, Farmers are the most hard working people around the world. These are the people who feeds other people. Just imagine life without farmers. If there were no farmers who would have grown rice, grains and all eating stuff, how people would have lived. In short, life would not have been possible without farmers.
He (farmer) is sun burnt, hard worker, strong and sturdy. He gets up at cock crow and leaves for his field after taking a simple meal. After reaching his field, he gets busy with different operations such as ploughing, weeding, sowing, etc. He has to be very methodical and punctual at his work . He must keep the field ready before the onset of monsoon or else he will be a loser.
His wife brings him a mid-day meal. Both usually sit under shady tree and enjoy the meal. After taking meal, he takes one small nap. Again, he gets himself busy into work uninterruptedly until sunset.
Then he returns back to home, feeds his bullocks and enjoy his dinner. After having dinner, to refresh his mind, he chit chats with his neighbours, friends and then he goes to sleep. Farmers are the persons who build field crops. Farmers are usually members of regional or national farmers unions or associations. Recently, Government has put in lot of efforts to improve the conditions of farmers but still, toll of farmers deaths increases. It is not reduced. This might be due to lack of finance, over pressure of loan taken from banks, not being able to prepare his field before monsoon and as a result , losing all fertilisers and his efforts into vain. keeping all these into consideration, Government is still trying its level best to help farmers and reduce the toll of deaths.
We should be grateful and sympathetic to the farmers to whom we owe our existence. He is rightly known as the feeder of the nation.

Mumbai..wow those beaches attracted me the most. The best place to settle down for shopping freaks like me.
I found Delhi to be a sleeping city during day with a best night life. Many historic places to visit in and around Delhi attracts many tourists.
Bangalore has a blend of modern and traditional culture. Best climate. Can frame it as a sweet city. I found many similarities in Bangalore ppl's lifestyle and Hyd ppl's lifestyle. It can be because of major IT Conc. in these two cities.
My stay in Chennai was very little may be a day and a half. I neither visited any place nor did shopping in Chennai as I was nervous abt my Visa stamping that time and so cant really comment on it.
Pune is a green city, but the greenery is not organised. The best places in Pune I found are the cantonment area and DRDO Campus. Its a good place for trackers.
Calcutta is a wonderful place again especially for shopaholics, sweet lovers. I love the roshogulla made in Calcutta. Just love them. Can eat atleast 5 in one take. Many designer boutiques( such as Satyapal) attracted me. Though I find them in Hyd, its quite cheap in Calcutta.
Silchar
Here im. I live in a very small city Silchar(which is also my hometown), compard 2 da rest. My city lacks da glitz , glamour, basic needs fo amusmnts, & lacks many things in many regard. Its quite backward compared to all yours' cities. Although i hav so mny complaints regrdng my city but still i love my city a lot.. altho' i dnt enjoy as much as u ppl do.. bt stil im so attachd to it coz not onli its my hometown but also.. i have my loved ones family, friends out here...
Normally .. whil being here.. i dont value my city.. but whenevr im outside.. i miss my place a lot. &.. i think unlike thos ppl whu r born in metros, lik me , thos whu r born in smaller cities.. come to metros fo career, too, misses their native place a lot.

Diwali is the most important of Hindu festivals. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the length and breadth of India. As per the Hindu calendar, it is celebrated in the month of Kartik.
The mythological story behind diwali is the victory of Shree Rama over the wicked Ravana. It symbolizes the victory of good over evil.
Diwali brings with it a message of new hope, new enthusiasm and new ideals. People begin to prepare themselves for the festival many days before the actual date. Houses and shops are thoroughly cleaned and whitewashed. In the evening, each house has its row of lamps decorating the balconies, window sills and any little space outside the house where lamps can be lighted. The markets are beautifully decorated with little multicoloured lights, and are a lovely sight. People crowd to the markets not only to buy gifts and sweets but also to especially see the decorations.
People call on their friends and relatives over and have sweets and make merry. There are happy reunions of families and friends.
New clothes are worn by the young and the old. The whole country wears a festive look. At night people worship Mata Lakshmi – the Goddess of wealth and prosperity – so that she may bless them and visit their house.
Fireworks and bursting crackers are a part of the celebrations. The night sky is lit up with millions of fireworks lighting up at the same time and the din from these almost makes the ear drums burst. The air is filled with the smell of smoke from these.
Diwali is also regarded as a festival of traders. They begin their new year from this day. The new account books are begun and the creditors are paid off, and all old accounts are settled.
However, there are some negative aspects to this festival too. People believe that gambling is a part and parcel of this festival and often people end up with heavy losses and the whole joy of the occasion is marred by a feeling of loss and depression.
Yet again, the careless handling of fireworks too leads to mishaps. This too spoils the festive mood with much unhappiness and depression.
Thus Diwali, the festival of lights is a festival which brings happiness and joy to all. People of different religions too join in and it has also become a festival to unite the different communities of the country. Let's celebrate the bright and fortunate day of Diwali with fun and frolic. May the festival of lights satiate your life with pleasure and felicity. May success arrive at your thresholds. Deepavali or Diwali is a festival in Hinduism, Sikhism. On the occasion of Deepavali, an official holiday is declared across India. Deepavali is a sanskrit word where Deepa means light and Avali means row. In Deepavali festival, diyas are lighted. Into diyas, cotton string wicks are kept with one end of wick above the surface of diya. Oil is put onto wick and then that end of wick is lighted. Usually, these diyas are kept in mandir , outside main door of a house, in balcony, on terrace.
As per Hindu calendar, Deepavali is a five day festival. Deepavali, festival of lights even today in this modern world, projects rich and glorious past and teaches us to uphold the true values of life. In Hinduism, across many parts of India, it is home coming of Rama after 14 - year exile in the forest and his victory over Ravana. The people of Ayodhya welcomed Rama by lighting rows (avali) and lamps (deepa) thus naming this occasion as Deepavali. Deepavali is celebrated across India with full of hearts and joy but Kerala is the only state in India where Deepavali is not a big celebration.
On the day of Deepavali, many wear new clothes, prepare sweets , pharaal like chakali, chiwda, laddus and share them among people, in neighbourhood. Diwali marks end of Harvest season in most of India. the deity of Lakshmi symbolizes wealth and prosperity, and her blessings are invoked for a good year ahead. On this day, Lakshmi emerged from Kshir sagar , the Ocean of Milk. As per spiritual references, on this dday, "Lakshmi-panchyatan" enters the universe. Sri Vishnu, Sri Indra, Sri Kuber, Sri Gajendra and Sri Lakshmi are of "panchyatan" (Group of five).
Sri Vishnu - Happiness, Sri Indra - Satisfaction due to wealth, Sri Kuber - Wealth, Sri Gajendra - Carries the wealth, Sri Lakshmi - divine energy. In maharashtra, Diwali starts from the 12th day of 2nd half of Ashwin. Next day is dhanatrayodshi ( dhana=wealth, tra=13,dashi=10th so, 13th day) or Dhanteras. This day is of very importance especially for traders and business people. Next to next day is of Lakshmi pujan which occurs on Amavasya. The ddark night is luminated by light and crackers are burst. New account books are opened after pooja. People buy properties, gold on these days and for children, fireworks, new clothes, sweets make deepavali the most eagerly awaited festival of the year.
