I once read in a newspaper that a poor man bought a lottery ticket. He won the first prize of ten lakhs rupees. He was so happy that he went almost mad. If I had won the same lottery I would not go mad. I would use it in the following way.
I would keep five lakhs of rupees for myself. I would invest it wisely in order to get some regular income for myself. the remaining five lakhs I would use for a variety of good and benevolent activities . I would deposit one lakh with H.D.F.C. 15% interest would work out to RS.15,000. I Would give Scholarship of Rs.1000/- each to fifteen bright students of my village to enable them to pursue their studies. there is a very bright student in my village. If he is helped he can become a good engineer. I would use one lakh of rupees for his education. There is a small technical school in my village. It does not get government help it needs. I would give two lakhs of rupees as a donation to it so that it may be able to train more boys of my area who can afterwards get employment.
I still have one lakhs rupees left. I would deposit it in monthly income scheme of the government. I will get Rs.1200 interest per month. I would start adult literacy class and pay two teachers RS.400 each per month. Two hundred rupees per month,I would spend for buying books and notebooks etc,for the adult students and the last two hundred per month i would give to my village reading room for buying newspapers and periodicals.
This is how i would share my fortune with my own village people. The light of Knowledge will spread. There will be hundred percent literacy. On my death-bed i will have the joy of having done some good to my village. Even after my death my good work will continue. I pray to God that I may become a Millionaire.
