I would like to nominate legendary performing artist and global humanitarian Michael Jackson for the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize. He was and will continue to be one of the most famous, and influential men on earth.
Michael’s message for humankind has always been rooted in compassion, and kindness. He has succeeded a lifelong dedication to the well being of humanity. Moving beyond all political, social, and economic borders Michael Jackson consistently spread a positive message of global unity, healing, and love.
Michael Jackson endlessly devoted his life to helping others in their darkest time of need. It would be nearly impossible to count the multiple hundreds of millions of dollars Michael has donated to charity from his own finances, charity organizations, and also through his organizing of major fund raising events.
In 1984, Michael Jackson was severely burned while filming a commercial for the Pepsi Cola Company. Michael was awarded $1.5 million in the court settlement, which he donated to the Michael Jackson Burn Center.
The 1985 charity fund raising song ‘We Are The World’ was co-written and organized by Michael Jackson. The song was recorded in an effort to help aid famine-relief in Ethiopia. To date the song has generated over $60 million in relief aid for the charity.
The most impressive global contribution Michael Jackson has made to humanity was his 1992 creation of the Heal The World Foundation. Michael’s foundation is responsible for educating children about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse, donating millions of dollars to poverty stricken children in need, and airlifting 46 tons of supplies to war torn Sarajevo.
In 1994, Michael Jackson pledged $120,000 from the Heal The World Foundation to pay the cost of a liver transplant for an abandoned Hungarian child by the name of Bela Farkas. This is the type of giving that led to Michael being listed under the entry “Most Charities Supported By A Pop Star” in the year 2000 Guiness Book of World Records. Michael Jackson also continued to contribute to charities for the survivors of Hurricane Katrina, and the victims families of the attacks on 9/11/01.
I believe Michael Jackson has given of himself completely and selflessly in a lifelong effort to help better global conditions for children, and all of humankind. Please consider Michael Jackson whole heartedly as the nominee, and recipient for the distinguished honor of this most prestigious award.
Lord Vishnu sent the rakshasa Bali to the Pathalam in order to save dharma. Thus in each incarnation lord Vishnu has served a specific purpose. Even in his 6th incarnation as Parasuarama, lord Vishnu exterminated the sinful, destructive, irreligious and irresponsible monarchs or kings.
According to some puranas sources, it is strongly believed that unlike all other avatars Parasuarama still lives on earth even to day. He is a Chiranjeevi. Secondly, he is a version of extreme emotions. That’s why he has not been popularly worshipped by the people as they worship Rama or Krishna. However in places like Udupi, Gokarna, Kanyakumari, maharastra and Assam people do worship Parasuarama. The people on Konkan call their land as Parasuarama bhoomi.
Though Parasuarama is Chiranjeevi like lord Hanuman, he is not worshipped like him.
As Parasuarama is an incarnation of emotion like Varaha swamy and Nrusimha swamy, there is no scope for him to have more number of temples. However people worship both Varaha swamy and Nrisimhaswamy when they are existed with their consorts. Since Parasuarama is a celibate and a ferocious incarnation with extreme violence and fury, he is generally not worshipped by the people. But here and there, quite a few people do worship him. Nevertheless woman devotees are very less.
Lord Parasuarama is also referred to as Bhagavan Rama and even Bhrigupati. By his mother’s side Parasuarama belongs to the royal race of Kusikas. Hence, he has got the name as Bhargava. By his father side, he descended from Bhrigu maharshi and so he has attained the mother name `Bhrigupati’ also. The direct descendants of Parasuarama, the Bhumihar and Tyagi sub- castes belonging to the regions of western utter Pradesh are seen even today major in parochial regions and their major occupation is agriculture.
The purpose of the incarnation of Parasuarama can be extracted from his suprabhata mantra- Rama Parasuarama Vishnavarama Renukamba Rama… namah suprabhata.
God power
Health is vale more than wealth. Body condition depends on health. Health is important to living happy. Good health is wanted to man.
It is not how long we live in this world. But how well we live is vitally important. To day, many are suffering from different kinds of physical infirmities. We know well, that in these days, people are becoming very much health conscious, but yet are under going tremendous physical trauma and problems.
The progress of your physical health depends on your spiritual progress. Almost ninety percent of the people in the world to day are concerned more about their physical fitness and health and do not even consider their spiritual life and welfare of their soul.
Man is a triune being, and is a combination of spirit part, soul part and body part. Spiritual part is god conscious, soul part is self conscious and part is world conscious. People generally take care of the soul part and body part and feed them well, but starve their spirit part. They feed their minds with the things and thoughts of the world and become weak in their spirit.
What should be done now? Your thought line should become healthy and godly and you should be able to entertain good and healthy thoughts and expel the thoughts which are UN health to both your spiritual and physical life.
This kind of good and positive thinking is the foundation beneath our real health and will make us proper in spirit, soul and body.

Oman and pongal
Oman is a festival celebrated in Kerala for four days. There are also boat races. People sing and dance and celebrate it with pomp.
Besides these festivals, people also celebrate harvest festivals like Basanth panchami ad Pongal.
This celebration lasts for three days, but for many days before, everyone has been busy with preparations. Young people coat the walls of village homes with fresh whitewash or fresh red clay to cover the streaks from last season’s rains. They may also paint designs on the walls or draw them on the floors with rice flour. Of course, every one likes to have some new clothes too.
Some collects handfuls of rice from all the family pots in the village to make one big batch of sweets. A sampling of this fresh pongal is offered to the sun god at a temple or shrine, or in front of a household image. A bit of it may also be offered to the elephant headed god known in some parts of India as Ganapati, in others as Ganesh. He gods enjoy the spirit of the sweets. After these ceremonies, the sweets are served to the villages families. The children wait eagerly for this!
Sound nil silence peace of in your mind as same as in space. But In that silence try to ear `om’ does sound with your tong (do it from your mouth). `Om’ is most powerful mantra.
All our mantras begin with `om’ and end with namah. That is the tradition in Sanskrit. `Om’ is supposed to be the origin of creation. It is said that the whole creation came out from pranava `om’ sound.
The sound `om’ in pranava travels in to the depths of our heart and slowly merges therein, retaining its reflection in our memory. It will bore memory. It will be bore each one of the subtle bodies and reach sahasrara. When `om’ is uttered out side, it vibrates and slowly recedes in to silence. When it is turned inside, it becomes soundless and salient. It goes on further boring the silence and reaches the origin. When our heart center anahata becomes completely vacant, it begins to produce subtle vibrations. The `jhum’ sound becomes `ovum’. That resembles air wave sound. If we follow that sound, we reach the heart’s silent core, where such sounds resound from nowhere. That is the sound of silence.
The pranava sound stars from the silence of anahata center and goes to the head center sahasrara. The disciples who mediate on the anahata center could hear the resounds and enjoy the ecstasy of pranava, the sound of silence.
So long as we pronounce ` Om’ with our lips, we cannot transcend the outer, physical consciousness. We cannot jump in to silence. We will be observing the stream waters standing on the banks. We remain as spectators. We don’t become participants. We can’t cross the anahata level. There we must jump in to silence with no hesitation. We should dive in to ecstasy of silence.
Parasuarama was a power man. He was great devotee of mother. His was avatar Srimannarayan.
Parasuarama father was Jamdaghni, and his mother Renukamba. Jamdaghni was a great teacher.
Parasu means an axe. Rama means a person who grants a state of extreme happiness or blissfulness in amplitude.
Parasuarama was keenly interested in the science of weaponry. His loves for martial arts, archery and using the weapons with the magical help of sonic waves i.e., mantras found boundaries. Since he was brilliant, he mastered all the arts of war fare in to time. He remained as a UN surpassing great warrior. He used to love his father, mother and master.
Rebuke, the wife of Jamdaghni, used to bring water from river Gangas every day for Jamdaghni to perform rites in the ashram. She used to prepare a pot from sand with the help of her energy she secured by penance. This was daily routine for her. But no a fateful day, she could not prepare the pot from sand as her energy did not work since she concentrated her mind upon the sensual and sexual life a pair if angels, she accidentally witnessed on the way. Though delayed, she prepared the pot and brought the water for her husband. However, he refused to use that water, as he learnt every thing through his magical power. Despite Renuka’s apology, Jamdaghni called his sons and asked to decapitate their mother. All of them refused, but Parasuarama came forward and his mother with his axe. Jamdaghni was pleased with the action of Parasuarama and granted him to boons.
Taking this as on advantage, Parasuarama requested his father to give life to his mother and also to excuse her. Jamdaghni did accordingly. Then Parasuarama also requested his father to shed anger and moment emotion. Jamdaghni accepted this also.
