I survived yet another weekend. As usual filled with laziness, boredom, a feeling of lost waiting desperately for the weekend to end as desperately as how I waited for it to begin .Lost in the world of oblivion. Full of dreams which can never materialize, later think about those dreams and laugh at myself.
Finally when the weekend was about to end I started to pen this monologue to satisfy my thirst of scholarship. The first work I will do tomorrow is to forward this essay to all of those who can relate themselves with this piece of pathetic monologue.
Started my Saturday very early at around 1.00 pm. Come on I came home at 4 in the morning. Ate properly and slept again. As it was a general holiday mom was at home preparing I fought with light for sometime to fall asleep again but in vain. Finally got up and went out for the royal visit( well I consider myself maharajah during weekends) to meet my subjects first on a petty shop owner second one a small hardware shop finally owner of a chicken shop(I always wonder why there are no chicks there) . The topic of discussion starts with plans for weekend later goes to health of Shetty. Taking a decision for about when to start going to gym ends with a philosophical verdict that everything is going to happen as it has to happen and finally wrap the discussion with half cup of coffee each of course I pay for it that is why I am accepted as the king.
I come back to home for a surprise my aunt i.e, my mom’s elder sister her husband and their daughter i.e, my cousin are at home. It was a welcome surprise at last I had something to do. I went to market to get some vegetables and finally got some milk as there were more people now. Watched an old telugu movie as aunt likes that movie everytime she comes we watch the same movie again and again. Around 4 in the morning I was about to sleep then started to sing my aunt who else I tried hard I put my best efforts but no I could not sleep. I got up by 7.00 around in the morning thought of taking a long bath but no my aunt had to take bath so started cleaning house.
By this time an endless discussion about how old songs are better than new ones was in rage between uncle and pop there is tried to use my logic and tell them that they like old songs so much as they identify themselves with old songs as they were young when these songs were sung moreover they are not ready to accept change in the form of new songs. I was given such a stare that I ran out of the house. The stare had an untold saying which almost all the parents tell atleast once in their life time. He talks as if he knows everything this is because he is earning.
Sunday afternoon house was empty my mom and pop same silence everyone waiting for Monday ate properly and slept. Dont know why not able to sleep.
