PLEASURE OF HAVING A PEN-FRIEND

Man is a social animal.As companionship provides emotional support,he constantly strives to be

in the company of others.With people preferring the company of the  television today,those in need

of companionship are having a difficult time in finding the companions of their choice.For such

people,pen-friends are a godsend.With pen-friends,whether they are in one's country or abroad,

one can share one's interests and thoughts which are of mutual concern.Pen-friends can share their

joys,sorrows and information on subjects of mutual interest.Though they may never meet,especially

if they are in different countries,they build up an intimacy and emotional support from their writings.

In this age when one hardly has a need to write letters because of the advancement and expansion

of communication facilities like phones and e-mail,the correspondence between pen-friends is a

good exercise in sustaining friendship though the traditional method of letter-writing.
