The christmas day comes on 25th december. It is the day on which Jesus Christ was born. Christians wear new clothes and go to the church to pray. They joyously greet one another with the words, ‘ Happy X-mas to you!’ ‘ Merry X-mas’. They taste the specially prepared X-mas cakes.

An old christian puts on new clothes, calls himself ‘ Father Christmas’ and distributes sweets to children. In several houses they decorate a plant with lights, call it, ‘ The Christmas Tree’ and worship it. Christmas candles are lighted up in churches and in private homes.

Services are conducted at the church from morning till night. Entertainments are arranged for the Christians. The church bell rings several times and holy songs are heard everywhere. Dramatic performance dealing with Jesus Christ’s birth are also enjoyed on  this day.
