There was a time when ladies used to be a liability in workplaces as they used to take advantage of the fact of being considered as weaker sex.  They were hardly given any work and if given also they would not do any work as they were confident they would never ever be questioned. Also at the slightest possible  opportunity they would leave early from office to their homes  on one pretext or another.  They would never ever miss a opportunity to take leave.  There used to be hardly any lady whose leaves have got lapsed by not availing the same.

However things have changed especially in the last 15 years or so.  Ladies are as efficient as men in workplace if not better.  In fact ladies are more preferred as subordinates for bosses than gents.  The reasons for the remarkable transformation in ladies are:-

Ladies want to come out of inferiority complex:- Ladies have always had a inferiority complex.  It is known fact that generally men never used to rate ladies highly for according to men, ladies have had a limited role as housewives and nothing beyond that. The skill of ladies were never appreciated by men whether at home or even at workplaces.  While the men of today are more understanding and broad minded compared to men of the earlier generation and they no longer have that feeling that ladies are inferior, yet ladies ladies are under the impression that men consider ladies inferior.  It is this complex that ladies have in them that they put in every possible effort to prove to men that ladies are as good as them if not better.

Ladies are usually more committed in life:- Ladies are usually more committed in their life.  As a girl a lady is more committed to household work than a boy.  Similarly girls are more protective about their parents and brothers than boys.  A sister has more concern for a brother than a brother has for sister even if the brother is intelligent and smart enough to look after himself.  On the contrary the brother loses concern for a sister once he is grown up.  In a marriage a lady is more committed to her husband than her husband for the lady.  The ladies are more committed towards their children.  In relationship before or after marriage it is the lady who is more committed.  More commitment in work on part of ladies is nothing but a extension of their general commitment  in their day to life and long term relationships with their families.

Ladies always jealous of other ladies:- Ladies always have a jealousy against other ladies and this has been proven time and again.  A lady never takes pride in another ladies achievements.  If there are more ladies in workplace, they compete among themselves to show the others as to who is the best.

The great thing about todays ladies is they never like any concessions offered to them in the form of relaxation in timings. They take it as a insult rather than a facility offered to them on sympathetic grounds. Ladies are seen working as late as men at their workplaces.  Ladies are even seen going and making customer visits, reconciling their accounts or collecting payments.  If a lady is required in office on a Sunday or a holiday she is always there.

Friends, the modern day lady deserves as much respect as any male.  Let us not single them out for being ladies, but respect them for their achievements.
