You find lot of companies in the world but only a very few of them are household names. This companies have got the reputation on the sheer strength of their longevity lasting for a period of time beyond anybody's imagination.. These are the companies preferred for customers and also for candidates seeking job. While the companies have a big reputation, the onus on sustaining that lies with the management.
Employee Satisfaction:- There is a saying that customer satisfaction is not possible without employee satisfaction. To get the best out of a employee, a employee needs to be appreciated for his good work. Ways of appreciating a employee are by giving additional increments or giving a promotion. If that is beyond the limits of the manager, then a letter of appreciation is not a bad idea. That keeps the motivation levels to give them their best. Another way of keeping employees happy within an organization is by recruiting lesser people and offering more pay. There is no point in appointing a large number of people with minimal pay. That would mean employees just come to office just for the sake of attending.
On the contrary bad managers fire their employees very often, because of which employees leave the company Not only these employees leave the company they recommend their friends and relatives not to join. Bad managers ensure that they spoil the name of the organization however reputed it may be to such an extent that existing employees leave and new people are reluctant to join.
Customer Satisfaction:- Some managers have got a vindictive attitude towards their customers. Once a customer does not give a order for a reason whether genuine or not, these managers target them in future and ensure that these customers never gets a benefit in future. Once a customer leaves the company, it is almost impossible to get that customer back. The customer is also bound to do some damage but recommending others to stop dealing with the company.
The role of the Manager/Management is the most important in survival of reputed companies.
