We live in a world where everything happens fast.  ATMs were fast, but Internet banking is even faster.  We simply do not have the patience for anything and our expectations very high.  In this regard I would like to highlight one area which is of serious concern to all of us.

It has often been observed, that people driving vehicles are often in a hurry to cross the road so as to ensure that they cross the road before the advent of signal..  Similarly even before the green signal is flashed they are in a hurry to cross the road.  The deafening sound of vehicles speeding away even before you see the vehicle in itself sends shivers down our spine.  Agreed that reaching a destination is very important, but it is not important than the life of a person driving the vehicle or one one who could be a possible  victim of a person's rash driving.

A person who is reckless while driving should think of the following consequences.

An accident could kill him.  Even if he escapes in some cases he could become a vegetable having lost his hands or legs or both. That is living death and even more torturous.  The same thing could happen to somebody coming under his wheels for no fault of his and that would be even more tragic because somebody has to suffer for a lifetime for your fault.

A death or serious injury could affect the family if that person is the sole or main breadwinner of the family.  Needless to say it is even more tragic if somebody else and his family  has to undergo that fate because of your fault.

Many people do not realize that when a person dies, a family also dies.  A teenager would have lost his life in adventurous driving but he would not be alive to realize that his parents would remember that tragedy for a lifetime. That applies to head of families, whose wife and children have to suffer.

One you meet with an accident, it will kill your confidence levels, and you will never have the confidence to drive again.  It will make you nervous which is not good for you or others.

An accident to a another person because of your fault, could put yourself in legal troubles leading to lot of tension and financial losses.  If a person expires because of your fault, apart from court causes that guilt feeling will haunt you throughout your life.

Request all of you to drive safely in your own interests, your family's interests and interests of others.
