Bodybuilding is an intense exercise which increases the body muscles and reduces the excess fats from the body. Bodybuilders are an individual who participates in the professional bodybuilding competitions.
The main purpose of bodybuilding is to increase the body mass and muscles without increase in the body fats with the help of proper nutrition, proper food intake and proper supplements.
For beginners it is very important to start the small weight lifting exercises as sudden high weight lifting can cause injury to the muscles.
There are few components for bodybuilding to remember
- Proper warm-ups and stretching - Warm up is very necessary prior to the exercise. Warm-ups help our body and muscles to get adjusted for the weight training. Warm-up should be done at least for 5-7 minutes. After warm up 2 minutes of stretching is important too. Both warm-up and stretching helps to increase the body flexibility and enhances the muscle growth.
- Weight Training - Once warm-ups and stretching are done, it's a time for weight training. Weight training is an intense exercise for your muscles by using and lifting weights. Bodybuilding needs 3 to 6 sets for each exercise with 8 to 10 proper repetitions. After each set of 8 to 10 repetitions take a break of 1 minute so that your body muscles recover from the excess weight pressure.
Try to perform two body parts in a day. For example - Chest and shoulder exercise on Monday, biceps and back on Tuesday , finally legs and triceps on Wednesday and rest on Thursday. Again start same routine from Friday. Along with the two body parts you can do exercise for abdomen for 10 minutes. - Cardiovascular Training - It is an exercise which includes your lower body part and makes your heart more stronger. It helps to reduce the calories, reduce the blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Cardiovascular training also called as aerobic training which includes brisk walking and running on treadmill, cycling, swimming and aerobic dancing. You can do the cardiovascular training for 45 minutes every day or at least three times a week.
- Proper Supplementation - If you are planning for the bodybuilding competition then the intake of proper supplements are necessary. There are many supplements available in the market but all are not genuine. The effective and good supplement powder usually has high proteins content, Creatine which helps to increase the muscle size, multivitamins for overall nutrition to the body and fish oil which helps to maintain the healthy heart.
- Maintain the weight chart - It is necessary to maintain the weight chart so that you can track the improvement in your body muscles.
- Boxing - If u do not want to go for weight lifting then boxing is the good option for bodybuilding. Boxing burns the large amount of calories, increases the power and strength. Boxing is considered as the exercise for whole body.
Remember - You cannot achieve bodybuilder's muscles unless you make an effort. Make sure to work out regularly with proper rest to your muscles. If muscles don't get rest they may get injured. The diet must be more that the calories burned so that muscles increase in size and you won't get lean.
