well they say that tpu can travel in a plane but not in a helicopter unless u are special. Well freinds this is ny description of my first helicopter travel, in fact i was air borne for the first time and that too with a helicopter. It was not a simple helicopter it was a Indian Air Force's MI-17  helicopter.I was fortunate enough and among the very few who was able to travel in a combat helicopter. The thrill and sense of fear was always in my mind while travelling in a helicopter. At first there was small briefing by the navigator and gave me a parachute jacket and told that in case of any mishap you should jump out of this helicoper and after 20 seconds you must pull the plug on the left part of the parachute. Prior to this 'i was to sighn a undertaking form the president of india that the airforce is not responsible for your accident or anything else if happens. this induced some more fear in my heart. Well i must not forget to tell that there was a sortie for the station readiness for the test of missiles. Well i am not going to tell anymore about misions since these are kept secret.

Any way let me come to my story, after that the pilots started the engines. the huge rotor wings started to rotate, huge sounds gruelled our ears. after some time the helicopter started to shake starting to lift. After some time the helicopter startd to climb up. At that point due to low pressure i had a terrible feeling of being falling down. But after some time evrything was normal. seeing the earth from the earth is a dream for living being. the roof tops the roads and the rice fiels all were very beautifull from the top. As the helicopter gained height those scenes vanished and it was clouds and clouds.  As if the sky was inverted and there was sea all over below. Although i was flying but he fear of someting was within me, may be due to the first flight. Our helicopter was flying at a height of 3200 metres and the the sea below was not clearly visible , infact it a inverted sky because below it was also blue due to water color. I happened to see some very beautiful islands in the sea these were very magnificent form the sky. SOmetimes due to manuever of helicopters  i was little scared. the helicopter remained airborne for about more than one hour.

After a long flight the helicopter was ready to land. as slowly it decreased its height slowly and slowly the ground picture was more clear and we could again see the clear picture of houses and the rice fields and the huts. as we nearer the ground it was more nice to see the clear picture of houses and roofs and the humnas and cthe cattles, the river which flowed into the sea was more beautiful to see and also i coud see some boatman in the rivers.

After some time we are again on the ground and i was line in the seventh heaven and told every of my freinds that i had chance to travel in the MI 17 helicopter.
