The lives of our ancestors were hard and uncomfortable. They were exposed to the rigors of the weather, to the hostility of wild beasts and to the dangers of famine. Their only weapon was intelligence. Using intelligence man found out the means to overcome his hardships. Thus the need felt by our ancestors led to the inventions which made life easier and happier. Thus necessity can be considered as the mother of all inventions.
This process of inventing new devices still continues. The inventions of machines spared man from hard and boring tasks. This gave him time to civilize himself. When his existence on earth becomes more or less free, man yearned for longevity. This led to the inventions in medical science. Necessity has played in these inventions also.
Necessity inspires new thoughts in man. All our scientific discoveries and inventions are the outcome of necessity. As humanity progressed, people had felt various needs and challenges and dedicated their lives to find a way out of the situations. Necessity provides the motive for growth and it is responsible for all the achievements of science.
