QUOTE- Who looks outside - dreams, who looks inside - awakes. —Carl Jung
From a very young age , I have always been fasinated about mystical things , supernatural stuff and out of the world happenings . So when I came across this article in a psychic forum about " How a psychologist healed an entire mental hospital full of the criminally insane, but never saw a single patient ” , for a second I was in awe and wanted to know more , but you know my dumb logical brain tapped the door and screamed " You must be mentally ill to believe this crap " . I disagreed and read further about it , and then I came across this genius of a man called "Dr .Hew Len " .
How did Dr Hew Len heal these mentally ill patients ?
STORY - More than thirty years ago in Hawaii there was a special ward called the Closed Security Unit in Hawaii. It housed prisoners , patients who had committed heinous felony crimes of murder, rape, assault, robbery, molestation to name a few and were also diagnosed with having a serious mental disorder. Some of them were even Schizophrenic and psychopaths.
All were locked in the unit 24/7 and allowed to leave escorted in wrist and ankle restraints only for medical or court appointments. Most of their day was spent in a seclusion room. Activities were few and far between . There were repeated incidents of patients attacking staff, patients having a go on other patients, patients hurting themselves, attempting escapes and other problems like staff manipulating patients, drug involvement , sick leaves, and most importantly there had not been a doctor who stayed more than a month in this highly volatile and warfield like environment . So when another one of those new psychologists was appointed, it was assumed he would also follow suit to the rest of them , but it wasn't to be and everything was about to shift .
In came a certain Dr. Hew Len, who absolutely seemed to do nothing . He didn’t do any assessments, or diagnosis or perform any psyhological tests and the wierdest part was he was the first person who seemed happy being with patients and inside the hospital . And surprise , surprise things started changing .
Seclusion rooms began clearing, patients were becoming responsible for their own needs , they also began participating in planning and implementing programs and projects for themselves. Medication levels were also dropping and patients seemed to finally find some peace and started getting cured . The hospital in general became a lot calmer and brimmed with life once more , even incidents of violence in the unit became rare and staff were in harmony with each other and also with the patients . Rather than sick-leave problems and understaffing, overstaffing became a cause of concern .
Did he say Abracadabra or shout "open Sesame " ? No No , he did Ho'poNopoNo .
The article said all this was achieved using a Hawaii healing technique called Hoponopono and ended , I was like shit " What is that Ho Ho HO " ?. God bless the internet and google , I found lots and lots of information about this eye opening concept
QuoTE - " Even if a man conquers thousands of men on the battlefield , only he who conquers himself will win the battle .
Summary - This is the most powerful and breath taking concept that I have ever come across . I believe the success of a concept doesn't lie in the power of it but in the simplicity of it and this process no doubt is simple and straight forward . For people who want to know more, read Mabel Katz " The Easiest way " or Joe Vitale's " Zero Limit " or google and I bet you will be fascinated when you learn and practice this mind blowing , earth shattering , volcano erupting concept .
